When I shared this experience of mine with another Vet, they were kind enough to explain that my girl, senior kitty, was merely dehydrated. This is why they had trouble getting her vein for blood. Customer service is horrendous. Policies are ridiculous. Overheard staff, lack integrity by saying to another customer, "we just work here. We don't make the rules." People are confined to cars in freezing and or extreme heat weather conditions to wait for staff to answer phones, permit access, etc. (despite hypocrisy in teachings of not leaving animals in the car during same types of conditions). Seeking recommendations for new vets in local area (due to cat getting car sick while in distance transit.) Called and spoke to receptionist about my dog have a broken canine, they proceeded to schedule an appointment for a first visit and stated they would schedule a follow up appointment for the surgery. Fast forward to the first visit, they took TWO SECONDS to look him over and said they couldn't do the surgery but will refer us to someone else! Instead of telling us over the phone of the other dentist that actually works on the canine tooth. Took them longer to get the discharge paperwork than to see my dog. Had to pay $89 for TWO SECONDS! This place sucks I highly suggest not going here. read more

This vet send me away with a large bill and no answers for my Great Dane puppy. They could only tell me that the X-ray that they took was not normal. They really couldn't elaborate on what was wrong. They also told me my puppy had a infection and sent me away without the proper treatment. I understand that they didn't feel like they had the expertise and tools to deal with her. They told me to make an appointment with a specialist and they were all booked out three months. BUT I took her to a different vet practice and that vet was able to tell me exactly what the problem was after performing the diagnostic X-ray. She gave me antibiotics for the infection and provide me with resources for her condition. Just like humans....advocate for your pet! read more

They let me and my dog go after my now wife left them a bad review. If you aren't knowledgeable enough to read an X-ray, then you shouldn't be caring for anything, let alone animals. Care was always mediocre at best. Overpriced compared to where we go now. Our new veterinarian is far superior to this dysfunctional organization. She calls to check on our dog and to answer questions if needed. She is kind and praises the hard work we put into caring and loving of our 4 dogs. If you love your pet, don't bother with this place, no matter how close it is to home. read more

It has taken me a while to be able to write this. My cat went to willow creek for 17 years (only vet she was ever at). She passed away on 9/16/19. It was a very hard thing to watch she suffered. The vet on call that night would not go back in to help end her suffering (she said she just left and no one was there to help her). She had me on the phone two-three times for no reason (took 30-40 minutes to even call me back in first place). The vet had the nerve to tell me they offer cremation there before my cat even died. She sent me from Shoemakersville all the way to Lancaster Ave in reading. My indoor cat who hated the cage/car died between 183/ broadcasting road in her cage in the car. I would never use this vet again and I don't recommend anyone else does. read more

I can't praise Dr. Bastian enough. After hundreds of dollars, three different vets, and countless visits she was able to diagnose our 10 year old cat with a nose polyp that had made him chronically stuffy and nasally. Up until this point, we had vets put him on multiple antibiotics, doing steam treatments and other medications to no avail. We were at our wits end and it took her all of 30 mins to find the issue and resolve it. Our boy is back to himself after months of being misdiagnosed and miserable so we couldn't be happier. Her bedside manner was great and the receptionists were all friendly/helpful. read more

In jan/feb 2016 the owner/veterinarian of this practice misdiagnosed my dog on a second opinion visit. Given the bloodwork, and other diagnostic information provided there was no excuse. The steroids prescribed by lucena were in direct contradiction to any proper medical judgement given the information provided. These drugs caused catastrophic damage to my dog causing him to develop diabetes and fall into ketotic shock. When contacted concerning my dog's failing health, I was further misinstructed by lucena; after several calls that were not returned in a timely manner. Finding my dog unable to move one morning led me to bring him in for emergency help (which I was charged emergency service fees even though the Dr did not arrive before normal operating hours). My dog spent several days at willow creek in a critical state under the care of Dr bastion. I believe Dr bastion took appropriate measures to take care of my dog, but used "donated" insulin (which i photographed due to my concern reading it on the bag) to attempt to rectify my dogs hyperglycemia. This had no measurable effect. While I found bastion to be a competent veterinarian, she failed to help my dog. After several days of my dog being in care, I was told to consider euthanasia. I did so, But decided to bring my dog home in the hopes I could care for him myself (absolutely the correct decision). Bastion attempted to utilize my own family to convince me to euthanize my dog, which I did not appreciate, and only served to firm my judgement. I was charged several thousand dollars for services rendered even though the services were only necessary due to the misdiagnosis. Upon bringing my dog home I cared for him using novolin n insulin acquired from wal-mart at a cost of roughly $24 a month (credit where due; this was suggested by Dr bastion) My dog responded almost immediately, and was back on his feet within 3 days. Since that time I have had to treat him for both his newly acquired diabetes, and also his underlying condition. But he remains in relatively good health and has retained his happy/playful personality. The only real praise I can give to this practice is the services rendered by the supporting staff. The veterinary techs at this practice were competent and extremely caring, I wish they worked somewhere else, so I could bring my dog back to them (I have never been to a veterinarian with better techs and I was extremely grateful for them). I would even still consider allowing Dr bastion to treat my dog, just not at this practice, or while associated business wise with lucena. read more

Overall, this facility is fine. The receptionists and vet techs are helpful and accommodating. Most of the vets who work there show compassion for the pet and their owners. The only complaint is what they charge for meds, food and miscellaneous that we feel pressured to buy only from them. Often we go online and find the SAME product for half the cost. We don't mind someone making a living but to mark up the cost so high just isn't fair. And yes, we do have the money to afford our pets. We just don't like being taken advantage of. read more

I have only been a client for the equine side, not small animal. The doctors have all been so compassionate, caring, and resourceful. The techs and office staff have been beyond valuable. We had two horses and have used willow creek for almost 2 years. For everything from routine shots, dentals, emergency calls, and end of life decisions, they have been knowledgeable and supportive. My scheduling needs were always well met, and pricing was as expected. We no longer have any horses, but if I get any more in the future I will be sure to use them again. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. read more

On Saturday April 16 my dog was attacked by a Roteweiler we were at a local campground and this facility was the closest, he had five puncture wounds and one of the wounds on the upper leg had a ripped muscle sticking our the Vet on duty looked at him not even ten minutes said she had to get an estimate for surgery, ten minutes later she hands me the estimate 1313.00, my husband said he would pay $500.00 down and Monday when the bank opens he would pay the balance, she said before they operate on our dog they would need all the money, so if you go to this Veterinary Center weather your little fur baby is bleeding chances are they could bleed out till you take them too your regular Vet, which ours was in Quakertown, they never even shaved his hair to really look at the wounds, it's all about the money, not even a pain pill for our little Ben, and our ten minute visit cost us 220.00 which the rude Vet said make sure you stop at the front desk before you leave, it caused us more delay read more
