I came out with a loopy cat doing somersaults when I got her home and about 30 min later she was dead! I lost one of the very best things in my world because of this clinic. After composing myself and calling them to properly inform them of the situation, I also demanded a refund for the killing of my kid. They were compassionate, but un wielding with results. I point blank told them, you killed my kid and I'm not paying for that! I was later told that they did nothing wrong and will not refund me. I hung up and instantly called my CC company to dispute the charge! It's all horrible, death is beyond words when you have love for the lost ones. But 'not' owning a mistake when the evidence is clear is equally horrible. This "company" Homepage | Oley Valley Animal Clinic is highly suspect. After years of dealing with them and multiple pets/babies, I have seen a very clear pattern. I was here in the Oley Valley long before them, I watched that building being built. From my dogs to my cats I took them all to the Oley Valley Animal Clinic. In the last 12 years I would say the place changed a lot! Not real vets anymore, just middle men/women sending you to the ones that can actually do the job necessary for your pet/friend/kid. But this last example as I break behind keyboard. This needs special attention! When I walked in to the patient room I took Carmin out of the box and set her on the table, that weighing scale table. Seconds later I was greeted with an intern that point blank asked me: "are we going to do any blood work today?" I'm dumbfounded holding my kid on the weighing table. Just WFT did you just ask and why? It was crystal clear to me right then and there. All smoke and mirrors here. But then the "vet" came in and began to examine my kid. Credit due where it's warranted, she sat on the floor to examine my baby even though regurgitating old news. She recommended a pain killer and a steroid. Now what could go wrong with that? It did, go wrong! My kid was seeing things, as if we have a ghost here and there but my kid was seeing it/them. She was very afraid of a certain corner, kept looking at it like someone was standing there and it was a stranger. I didn't know she was so close to the end, I was working elsewhere in the house when my baby came running in and just layed down at me feet and died. So did my world at that moment! I'm not good yet, but I cannot wait a year to tell you to stay the hell away from the middleman Oley Valley Clinic! If they get it right they way over charge, when they get it wrong the price is death!

The 2 ladies I spoke to on the phone to make the appointment were very nice. I got there early to fill out paperwork since it was my first time there. My appointment was at 7, and we were taken back shortly thereafter. Dr. Quinn and the assistant were great! I gave them a brief history on my cat, and then they checked her out quick and took care of an ingrown nail which is why I had made the appointment for her. On the way out I had a nice chat with some of the front desk people too. Overall a very pleasant experience. The place was clean, professional looking, and everyone was super nice. I will definitely continue going here for my current and future pets!

They forced me to switch to prescription food he hated, and guess what? He kept vomiting. I brought him back, and suddenly they find masses in his belly. They pushed me into an expensive ultrasound and convinced me to aspirate a mass for cancer testing, claiming the results were fine. Next thing I know, my cat is bleeding internally and dies. This is beyond unacceptable. Horrible and I'll never forgive them.

I was counting on their "expert advice" on what to do for my pet. As I was extremely concerned for her. Instead I received the worst advice and recommendations. I trusted their judgement they told me she would be okay sent me home with her and told me to come in the next day for blood work results. MY PRECIOUS AND DEAREST DOG DIED THAT SAME NIGHT WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF LEAVING THIS OFFICE! They never expressed any major concern for her, very unprofessional, just talking about nonsense during my visit. They did not address any of my concerns about my dogs lethargy, weakness, having not eaten in days, neurological state, star gazing, barely drinking water. Absolutely NOTHING! They did not explain anything and FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THAT MY DOG WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION! I will say this a million times and more NEVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE! This time it was me and my 10 year old daughter, when the male doctor walked in (only male vet), my dog growled and stood by my 10 year old. She is overly protective and HATES the vet. So the guy walks in, takes the leash from my hand, and puts her in a slip lead, on the bottom of her neck, then lifted her UP OFF THE GROUND with the fucking slip lead!!!!! At the bottom of her neck! So my 10 year old jumps up and goes to grab the leash and he says "SIT DOWN AND DO NOT TOUCH HER, your dog is a ticking time bomb. Look how she is growling at me, that's not normal. So when, not if, she needs to be put down for mauling someone call me". My 10 year old was crying, I was drenched in sweat having a panic attack. The vet left and the tech came back and apologized, called him very aggressive, said she did not think our dog was aggressive at all, just scared at the vet... like isn't that normal?? She said he gets that way towards people with "aggressive dog breeds to really scare them into getting dog training"... which he reccomended last year, so we went with his suggestion, then today kept telling me how wrong that guy was and shit. Keep in mind it's dentlers dog training, so he definitely knows what he's doing. I'm so disgusted, so sad, and honestly appalled.

The entire staff made us feel like part of their family. We were never rushed, and every visit was met with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Dr. Bricker's expertise and thoughtful approach in diagnosing and treating our beloved dog, Oliver, gave him comfort and an extended quality of life we will always cherish. Her care allowed us more time with him--time filled with peace and dignity. When the time came to say goodbye, Dr. Mullikin and her team handled everything with such empathy and grace. They turned an incredibly painful moment into one that felt calm and respectful--something we didn't know was possible. Their presence brought us comfort in our grief. We are forever grateful to Willow Creek for the extraordinary care they gave to Oliver and the support they offered to us. I am beyond disappointed with Gilbertsville Veterinary Hospital and will never return…read more What they did to me is a literal bait and switch -- and I have the proof in writing. They texted me saying they couldn't refill my cats' Chewy prescription food because my cat was overdue for an exam, and that I simply needed to schedule a wellness visit. Nowhere did they indicate they no longer fill digital prescriptions for outside pharmacies. Their exact text: "Good morning! We received your request from Chewy for Leo's urinary diet, however we have to decline it due to Leo being overdue for his exam. There has to be a doctor-client-patient-relationship established within a year to be able to approve this. We would be happy to schedule a wellness visit with you! Please give us a call with any questions and to schedule. Thank you, have a good day!" So, I complied. I scheduled an appointment, spent over $300 for a routine checkup and a couple vaccines, and during the visit they even asked me directly if my cats were on prescription food. I confirmed they were. Yet at NO point did anyone disclose that they had stopped providing digital prescriptions to outside pharmacies like Chewy. Instead, I only found out afterward (once they had my money) when Chewy's second request was denied a week later and I was told I'd have to physically pick up a written script or use their in-house pharmacy. That's not miscommunication. That's deliberate, manipulative, and designed to back customers into a corner so they're forced to buy from the hospital's pharmacy. When I expressed my dissatisfaction in response to their email where they once again denied my digital prescription, the only response I got was a canned text saying my written prescriptions were ready for pickup. No apology. No acknowledgment. No accountability. On top of the dishonesty, the staff are cold and unhelpful. This is not just bad customer service, it's unethical business practices. It should be illegal. They took my money under false pretenses and withheld critical information that directly affected my ability to care for my pets. Pet owners deserve transparency, honesty, and compassion. You won't find that here.
