I'm not going to ruin this guy's perfect rating but he deserves zero stars. Yelp says "walk-ins welcome". I guess Matt forgot to read his own sign as I did just that. One fellow in the chair and the place was empty. A kind of awkward exchange with no pleasantries. He stated that he had more people after the fellow in the chair. (Uh, there's nobody else in the place.) "Come back at 2:15." Fine. "How about 3, that's better." He wrote it down. See you then. I'm getting together tonight with first-grade friends I've known for 60 years. I thought I'd look nice for pictures. I didn't want to drive back to Marin to see the fellow who's been cutting my hair for 20 years. Planned my day around getting a cut. Went to the bank to get cash for a tip. Arrived at the shop at 2:45. He wasn't in. The open sign was on. No note on the door. Scrolled my phone for 45 minutes in the shade in 92 degree heat under the awning. Finally, I left at 3:30. Had I known, I would have spent the 45 minutes waiting and just driven to San Anselmo and gotten a cut. So, stuff happens. That's why I'm not going to ding him but he wasn't friendly and wasted my time. I moved here two years ago and my search for a local barber goes on. Obviously, I can't comment on the quality of his work. The whole vibe just seemed suspicious. read more

Ole Times barbershop is LEGIT! Brought my son in for a full hair makeover. Matt did an incredible job! His fade is spot on. Not only that he's super nice and very easy to chat with which made my son very comfortable. We will be back regularly to maintain the fade! Thank you Matt! read more

BARBEROUS, SIMPLY BARBEROUS!! -- Been going there for years. Brought my new beard in recently, said that the family thought the dissolute hermit look wasn't working for me. I asked for grooming in the direction of 'distinguished older gentleman'. And by golly, it almost worked! read more

Finally found a great barber after many years of crappy cuts at other places in Sebastopol. Thanks!

I went here today for the first time today and got the best haircut and beard trim I have had in years. I moved into the area 2 years ago and still hadnt found my barber, but I will for sure be going back to Matt. The shop is clean, comfortable waiting area, tvs and good music playing. Matt took his time and made sure I got the cut I wanted. I have an important interview this week and now I have one less thing to worry about because I know I look good. read more

Great little barber shop with very friendly barbers and the two times I have gone I have been able to get an appointment that same day. I would recommend this place to anyone over the other Barber Shops in the area. read more

You don't need to go to any other barber EVER. Matt is hands down the best. A master of his craft. He fit my partner in in his day off, followed all the safety protocols and made his look dapper af. He wasn't expensive and would happily paid way more for the magic that he worked. Thank you Matt. We will absolutely be back. You are the BEST!!! read more

I stumbled upon this place while driving around the area. Went in and got a great haircut! I'm not picky but it can be hard for me to find a barber who can actually do a fade. He spent time making sure that it was blended well, that there was no line, and that I was happy with the finished product. This will be my new barber. I highly recommend read more

Matt is the best barber in town. He is constantly striving to deliver customer service that exceed the expectations of his customers. Today he recently added a towel warmer to wipe off the loose hair following my haircut. He is a total pro! read more

Matt is the man! He always does an amazing job. I always walk out of there with a fresh cut that's on point. My wife comments how much she loves my haircuts. For just a few dollars more than those chain hairstyle places, going to Ole Times is a no-brainer. read more

Matt is seriously the best! I had my second cut with him today and he is the most attentive barber I've ever had! As a woman, some barbers in the past have cut my hair the same way they do men's and it turns out very masculine. Matt makes the extra effort to add those feminine touches that turn the cut into something very flattering. His shop is very welcoming and clean and I won't go anywhere else! read more

I had my first cut at Ole Times this week and it turned out great. Matt did a nice job and I would recommend. Go check it out!

I took my five year old son in to get his hair fixed after he cut it himself yesterday. Matt was able to get us in same day, and did an amazing job. I was so worried given the amount of hair my son cut off, but the end result was more than I could have hoped for. Also, Matt was really good with him and kept him at ease the whole time. I will be bringing both my sons here from now on. read more

Fantastic service, made me feel like a local. Great fade and shave. I just may have to drive up from long beach to visit this place again!!

Jonathan is a fast friendly and efficient barber. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Jonathan and Mike the shop owner. I was very impressed when I witnessed a woman and her son come in without an appointment and Jonathan was quick to give 1st class service on the fly! Although I appreciate the convenience of making an appointment. True Barbers were built via the walk in! See you guys in a couple weeks! Cheers read more

Matt listened, and gave me a great cut and, straight edged razor the neck, and trimmed the brows. Excellent skills and cut. I'll be back!

I have one cutter for the last 15 years. Unfortunately she flew off and left me unshorn. I needed a cut before leaving town. With trepidation I went to Matt at Old Times Great experience, great cut (even my wife approved). A very friendly vibe and a barber who listens before cutting. To top it off, it cost less than my usual. Thanks Matt! read more

I'm extremely picky about quality and professionalism no matter the buisness , this place is AWESOME IN BOTH. As the the cherry on top they can guaranteed bring a grumpy day up and leave you laughing , this is not a chain clips store and they can do it all ,the high fade, I got the trimmed eyebrows the the awesome lady who cut my hair ,the parking is easy & the service 5 stars . Took me 10 years to find place I will wait to go repeatedly and that's the beauty of it you dont have to wait! Just walk in shaggy and mad walk out thinking I could spend hours here , yes they are that fun and experienced!!!! read more

Sameday appointment on a Saturday great service and cut Matt did not disappoint will be going back

I was nervous about where I was going to go to get my hair cut before my wedding. Matt erased those fears as soon as I came into the shop. He assured me that I would get the cut I was looking for before I left. He is confident, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Great Barber shop, he takes his time and really cares about giving a great cut! Thanks Matt

When I asked Matt if he could give me a pompadour and he knew what it was without me having to pull up pictures or describe it, I knew I was in the right place. I told him a little bit about the style of pomp I was looking to do he took that info and was able to shape it to fit my facial features. Matt has now been cutting my hair for over a year and cuts hair for my father, 3 brothers and my sister. His attention to detail and the fact that he truly cares about his work keeps me and my family coming back. read more
