Just a top notch experience start to finish! Highest recommendation! Sonny is just excellent. Here's the story: 1) started about five minutes late and i had to wait outside because of covid protocol, but the wait was only because he was wrapping up a good conversation with the previous client and then he took the time to thoroughly clean his station and gear (saw through he window). No complaints about him doing either of those things. 2) sat down and we had a brief chat about what i used to get previously and what i was thinking today. He listened well and then told me in detail what his plan was. I felt seen and heard. This was good. 3) 40 minutes of care: sheer over comb cut, clippers around the ears, slow fade, blended well all over, razor around the back of neck, finished with some product. Done just about on time and never felt rushed. 4) Got home and my wife was pumped. She noticed all the things he did without prompting: the length is perfect and not awkward, blend is smooth and clean, style feels natural and authentic. I'm handsome again. Seriously, Sonny is great. He listened well, read me well, had a great conversation, he took good care of me, my wife loves it. What more could i possibly ask for? 5/5. I got a haircut today at Sonny's ( I'm a woman with shoulder length hair). Sonny gave me a great cut. He was really careful, and he was great about asking me exactly what I wanted. What an unexpected treasure, right here in Cotati! I noticed this barbershop was under new ownership because I actually got a big welcoming smile when I walked by. Stopped in and they couldn't have been nicer, more professional and welcoming. 2 days later I got my haircut there and couldn't be happier. Price is perfect and fair, they took all the time they needed to give me a carefully executed cut--this is no "rush 'em through" Great Clips kind of joint. They even use scissors and a straight razor. These guys are recreating the best of old barbershops, where a guy is taken care of, the conversation is great and you leave feeling like a million bucks. Covid Restrictions will be lifted soon for barber shops I believe. Just wanted to thank Sonny for the great cut he gave me in January because it has grown out beautifully.
