The food was great and so was our waiter Frank. And the music is great. Also the drink was great plus you get to keep the glass.

This might be my favorite bar on Broadway Street. Drinks are pretty standard, I'm a garage beer or equivalent guy so not much needs to impress me there. But it's the bar layout and live music that really sealed it for me. We came here with a large group for a bachelor party...every night we were here. Upstairs most of the time looking down at the band who acknowledged us every time as the crazy group yelling. One night they actually brought us down to hangout for a bit during a setlist break. It's just a different atmosphere here. Other bars are pretty similar but this one really books great entertainers, keeps everyone safe, and keeps drinks flowing as quickly as you want them. It's a really open venue so there's plenty of room to bring a group in and hangout. Each night we ended here when the bar closed and I am very happy we did. This place is a MUST SEE. read more

After watching multiple seasons of The Voice, Gayle is convinced that I have a country-bro crush on Blake. I think that's a bit overstated, but when we were in Nashville I did stop into Ole Red one weekday afternoon. My visit was limited to the ground floor of which there was a nice band playing concert style while being able to talk at the table over a drink. It was way past our bedtime to be here late at night on weekend, with my guess being that things may gyrate up a bit on stage and on the dance floor. Service was pleasant, relaxed, and welcoming. Gayle and I subsequently passed by on our last afternoon and with some time on our hands. There's also an Ole Reds at the Nashville Airport near Gate C3. read more

INCREDIBLE! The Overall Protocol is amazing! Charming, unique, they are all so talented and the fiddler makes it extra cool. We had to come back here a second time it was so good! We stopped in for a few drinks and some ambiance. The rooftop is one of the highest on the strip. Lots of stairs though so be ready! But well worth it. There's an inside and an outside to the rooftop which was nice because it was 100 degrees out. The rooftop has such an array of different seating. Couches, tables, fun chairs. It's really a neat ambiance! And there's a band up there! read more

We ate early dinner at the rooftop inside bar on a Saturday around 3:30/4pm. The live music was great! They were engaging with the tables/crowds and taking requests. Server was great, (Samareha was her name.) She was BUSY but always checked on us and didn't make us feel neglected. Drinks were better than the food. Loaded tots were just ok/typical bar food. Was here for a special event where the roof was reserved for a couple hours. There was live music, a band that was absolutely terrific, and great food that was part of the event also. My personal favorites was the caprese and the crab cake bites. Cass was our bartender and she was really great. Busy, but friendly and professional. I definitely kept her busy with my orders, (sorry!) Next time I'm here I am sure I'll get a chance to see one of the other floors, this was one of the nicer rooftops I've seen while on Broadway in Nashville. Will be back! read more

While visiting Nashville I had a chance to try Ole Red. The bar itself had a great atmosphere with a great house band playing. The food was good but didn't have a lot of chicken inside. It came out hot and full of flavor. Great lunch spot if you are in the area. read more

Food was decent, definitely not the best we have had in Nashville. The wings were our favorite. The service was just ok. Felt rushed. We were going to order dessert but the waitress just brought our check and walked away. Never asked if we like our food etc. The music was fantastic The place was filthy. From the nasty fuzzy dusty ceilings, to the sticky floors, to the bathroom being absolutely gross, most stalls had no toilet paper. Who is managing this place? You are missing it big time. Solid grilled chicken sandwich but the pulled pork tasted like it had fake smokiness to it. Not the best overall experience.

On the way back home we decided to try Ole Red again. This time we were at the Nashville Airport. My husband and I shared the chicken and waffles. Delicious! And our waitress was fantastic!! Her name is Memphis. Maybe the nachos were a one off. We have an Ole Reds here in Oklahoma so we will be trying that location. read more

I had high hopes for this place, looked good as we first walked in but then I saw how the staff treat their customers. Was only there an hour but witnessed staff being very heavy handed with some guests and from what I saw, they hadn't done anything wrong except maybe they were at the point where they shouldn't be served anymore alcohol. I'm going to edit my review bc I believe based on their response and how great I've been treated at both the Las Vegas Ole Red and the Ole Red in Nashville airport must be factored in. I just wanted to confirm that I am certain that I was the least of their problems on a Wednesday afternoon at 5pm. There were three of us and the security guard would not talk to me or my Hispanic co-worker--just our one female friend. I've have spent so much much at Ole Red and don't think my "unsteady" behavior warranted a walk out. I was nice and polite, and even asked for a hug before I left. I was mortified and would NEVER break a blatant rule. Did he have a axe to grind with me? I will remove the word racist bc I know my Vegas hosts HAVE NEVER and would NEVER dismiss me with no explanation after being there for 5 minutes. Interesting how I didn't have one issue at the MANY other Broadway bars we frequented that night. read more

We visited on a Friday night and it was super packed! We had Michelle as our waitress, and she was ON IT. We ordered food and drinks, and she had them both out to us in less than 10 minutes, plus she was running checks and cleaning tables in the live music chaos. Our food was so yummy and hot & fresh! This was a return visit to Ole Red for me. My husband really liked it during our first trip to Nashville, so we made sure to revisit this time. The last time we were here, it was on a weekend. The entire street was hopping, but not this time. We were visiting on a weekday and things were unbelievably quiet. There may have been 40ish patrons in the bar. Don't get me wrong, people were enjoying themselves but in a much more reserved manner than weekend bar-hoppers. There was no issue reveiving service at the bar. No one fighting over chairs or even standing room. Wild Bill, the band that was playing this particular night was a bit much for the crowd. He was throwing his instruments up in the air and most definitely enjoying himself while on stage. They tried hard to get the crowd involved, but I feel like their music was a generation off for the patrons that night. Regardless, my husband had fun and that was the reason we were in Ole red. But they charge me $52 for two cocktails in plastic throw away cups. The bartender even spilled half my drink and didn't re-pour it. She just dumped more ice in it. The bartender was unpleasant and rude. As for dinner, adequate. Nothing special. Exactly what you'd expect for theme bar food. $23 burgers and fries. Ho hum. Arrived at 11am Wednesday. Great food, not too loud, talented artist (Lana Scott Beck). Crowd was older, given day and time but every other bar was SO LOUD it was intolerable. Great bar/restaurant in downtown restaurant that we went to for lunch. They had a great band playing. We sat upstairs thinking it wouldn't be as loud, but it still was! Our server was great and very attentive. We had a club sandwich and fries and a chicken wrap and their hash browns they are supposed to be known for. Food wasn't too bad. Regular bar food.
