My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at Harriets. We were greeted by Bruce, who graciously brought us up to the restaurant and let us look around prior to our reservation. We recieved top notch service from our waitress Madi R, who greeted us with 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate our special day! This was a good place to come and grab the view of one side of the town. The food was actually good which I really didn't expect, honestly. The service was good, I bit slow but friendly enough. It was very busy and cold that night so I wasn't very comfortable as their warmers were not very warm and their fireplace seating were full. The chairs they chose for their bar are very uncomfortably big and heavy. While the service from my server was great! I didn't appreciate how the hostess kept us waiting for our table when we said we had a reservation. In addition to having to wait for a reservation, they sat us at the sofa tables. We would've taken any table other than the sofa tables because you're sitting high up and the tables are low! We asked to sit at an open table that had four seats and we were told that we weren't able to sit there because it was reserved for an emergency reservation. I found extremely dishonest and strange. What is a emergency reservation? People that actually had a reservation had to wait 30 or so minutes for a sofa table. I think I was more irritated in the sense that that table remained empty the whole entire time we were there. The food was good, but we dropped a lot of the food on the floor because we were trying to eat from the table and it was really dark in there (I get it - it's about the ambience). We wouldn't have minded sitting at the sofa tables if the table wasn't so low. It was extremely inconvenient and from seeing the empty tables absolutely unnecessary to not allow us a different seat when we requested. I was there for my birthday and flew in from California that day. It was a shame that because of the layout and where we sat, I couldn't even have a conversation with two of the people. I do truly feel like for how much we had spent on the food. There could've been a little bit more consideration. Miso short rib was delicious. Quick, efficient, and complimentary for up to 4 hours if you're headed to Harriet's? Yes please. I had a table reserved for the day party and was seated right away, which I appreciated. Our server was super attentive and friendly, and made some great cocktail suggestions--each one was a hit. The finger foods were decent, nothing to rave about, but they did the job while we sipped and socialized. Even with a rainy Sunday, the crowd brought the energy and the DJ kept the vibes alive. Super super cute. Great views. Lovely ambiance and there was a DJ as well on this particular night, but not sure if they always have a DJ. Service 3.5/5 We had a large party (about 20 or so people) and had get service as far as I'm concerned. The only thing I didn't like was I put an order in for food and she took the order but then later came back and said the kitchen was closed so a lot of our party never got a chance to order food, which was unfortunate because we had a spending amount we had to reach and because the kitchen closed so early (like 10) we had to reach the limit by buying alcohol. We also had an unfortunate mixup with my sister's food - she ordered something and they were not clear on if it were tacos or burgers so when it came out she didn't realize it was hers until after they had given her food away (and then the kitchen closed) Food 3/5 The food I was able to try, from those who managed to order earlier, was fine. I don't recall anything spectacular. Drinks 5/5 The drinks were the highlight (besides the view & DJ) for sure. I don't recall everything I had but everything was well prepared & crafted. Final Verdict 3/5 I'm sure that I'd ever go back due to the things mentioned above (and the fact that I don't live in Nashville ), it feels like when you are aware that you have a large party, you plan better and communicate better - both of which I think were lacking). The crispy rice was not crispy at all, it was chewy with the tiniest piece of fish on top, the salmon hand rolls very below mediocre flavor wise. The sake was good. The host whose name escapes me from Dominican Republic was so welcoming and accommodating props to him! The sushi rolls and the buns were so good! One of the best sushi rolls I have had in Nashville. We were able to get a last minute reservation but if you don't want to hav issues with seating I suggest not waiting til the day of to make a reservation ! Since we had to stay inside we picked a stop by the window. Since it was Friday night, there was a DJ. I was hoping there would be live music since we were in Nashville. All good. The vibes were good. So good we even witness a proposal. My group and I had one round of drinks. They are a little pricey but you are getting some fancy vibes with your drink. It's confusing, inflexible, and clearly designed without customer experience in mind. The cancellation policy feels excessive and punitive, especially given how difficult it is to make adjustments. What made the situation worse was the attitude from management. Instead of showing even a small amount of understanding or professionalism, they were dismissive and rude. When you're paying premium prices, you expect at minimum respectful communication. There are too many great restaurants with efficient systems and kind staff to justify dealing with this.
