I've been eating at this taqueria for many years. There's a reason for that: the food is simple, delicious (I always get the vegetarian tacos), satisfying, attractively presented, and easy on the wallet. I never miss a Taco Tuesday here, when you can get two tacos for the price of one--although granted, they are the smaller ones, so I get three. Still, it's a decent-sized lunch for under $9. I appreciate that they are generous with the avocado and that they include a side of chips gratis--some taquerias charge for them these days. And they make their excellent salsas on site. I am not sure that I am a fan of the ordering kiosk but used it anyway. The interior does not really invite you to stick around and eat. That said, for take away I think they are fine. My steak tacos were yummy, the shrimp burrito is very customizable (beans, tortilla, etc.) and it was super flavorful. The flautas were crunchy. I would have loved a little more spice, even the medium hot sauce (green and red) was not spicy so pick up the hot a least. The staff is very efficient in making and delivering the food. Hi I love the vegan menu with a vast array of vegan protein, vegan cheese and sour cream, beans, rice, potatoes, veggies, tortillas, etc. it's a real good place to get sustenance as vegan. I'm sure the non vegan menu is good too, but I like a place where vegan protein isn't an afterthought. I highly recommend getting a burrito and all the fixings or tacos too. Service is great but food is hit or miss. I have had some great food here and I had also had some pretty bad take out here. I came here on a Sunday night and called in. By the time I got to the restaurant, my food was ready. I ordered the carne asada fries and carne asada regular burrito. The fries were crispy and fully loaded. The box was at least 3lbs! My burrito on the other hand, was not so great. The rice was hard and my tortilla was old bc it was hard and stale. There is only street parking so parking is slightly difficult. read more

I was a loyal regular customer at the Dimond location for the last 5 years until recently, and at the Telegraph location for more than 10 years before that. Recently, they've cut back on portions and value in a big way. When I asked the owner and manager about it, they could not have been more provocatively rude. If you don't want a particular ingredient, they now have a crude NO SUBSTITIONS policy. They have a new rigid policy of "only 4 ounces of any ingredient, " and NO SUBSTITUTIONS. Imagine my surprise to have vastly reduced portions on my order, and my friend got a bowl that was half full, because he doesn't want some ingredients, and they won't supplement others. Ordered a no meat burrito from this place via DoorDash. Points for being one of the few Mexican food places that offers a normal burrito without meat, rather than having the only veggie option include zucchini, and a bunch of random vegetables. I thought it was bland and just OK. Pinto beans were just slightly undercooked. Rice had no flavor. Salsa was interesting (unusual flavor) and pretty good but there was none on the actual burrito and they didn't provide enough on the side. Chips were good. Can of diet Coke cost $2.50 which seems a little on the high side. I don't think I'll try them again with so many Taquerias to choose from in the area. read more

Hands down one of the the best delicious and authentic Mexican food I've had. Shoutout to Amin the owner who would supply our staff at work with his best burritos! My co worker got a taco salad (which I regrey ordering this time) but either way my usual chicken burrito was BOMB AF. I'm the portion size is amazing and it's literally 2 meals in one. Wow, how disappointing - this used to be our favorite place to get take out across all forms of food in the area, which is really saying something. We have been going to this mini chain of Ole Ole's starting almost 15 years ago with the location on Clay. As the years went by we settled on getting dinners from the MacArthur location. Yesterday, I called to order food like I literally had done more than 100 times before. No answer. Now I see the you can only order online and the menu has changed dramatically. I went with something I knew - super tacos. I ordered 2 types and as I was driving there to pick them up, Ole Ole called me (yes, in my contacts!) and said they were out of one of the meats. I substituted, picked them up and headed home. one of the contiainers of tacos looked like it had been turned upside down so Iilterally had to try to reconstruct it. However, even reconstructed, it seemed like this was just a different taco than what I had in the past - especailly with more sour cream. What really stood out was how bad the tortillas were - they seemed like the trader joes corn tortillas, which are horrible unless you heat them up, and these were definitely not heated up/grilled before assembly. I'd probably not be writing this review if I didn't have horrible heartburn in the middle of the night followed by diarrhea in the morning. Unbelievably sad this has taken a turn for the worse...any suggestions on a new Mexican hole in the wall?? read more

Always check to make sure your order is correct when ordering from the MacArthur location. For some reason, different people who have taken our phone orders over the last couple years have been extremely inconsistent in correctly putting down what we ask for. I'd love to know that a "super" anything is going to include avocado and sour cream every time. The saltiness of the meat really needs those "super" items to balance out the flavor. My favorite place for Nachos! I usually order the carne asada super nachos with no beans (my preference, don't come for me) lol. With the super nacho, you also get sour cream, salsa, and avocados on it. Definitely not a plain jane. The workers are always so nice when I ask for additional salsa. I really like the orange habanero salsa. Be prepare though, definitely will knock you out if you can't handle the spicy. You have been warned about the orange salsa. read more

This was my first and last time ordering from this place. I was really looking forward to having a burrito for dinner tonight and stumbled across this place. I ordered for delivery, but what i received did not match the description at all. I ordered the lengua burrito, which says comes with the meat, beans, rice, pico de Gallo, "super cheese", don't know what that means, avocado and sour cream. As you can see, no cheese, no sour cream, and no avocado. I also asked for limes, jalapeños and carrots on the side, got the tiny limes, barely squeezable, and no carrots or avocado. The pico de Gallo didn't taste fresh. The tomatoes tasted a day old as if it were leftover from the previous day. The beans weren't soft enough, and overall the burrito was just dry. Very disappointing. My bf ordered a steak super burrito, with the avocado on the side, definitely no avocado on the side. Had we not ordered EXTRA sour cream, he may not have gotten it either. So now I'm starting to think i wasted $1.25 for extra but for what we were supposed get. We paid a total of $28 for this meal, $4 for delivery fee. We didn't get our requests and the burrito did not come out the way they advertise. I am very disappointed and hope that others will stumble across this review. I ordered a California burrito. I was excited when I picked it up because, admittedly, it looks delicious and I try to order food that gives a healthy serving size. I understand it's a Californian burrito but it tasted like many of the ingredients lost flavor, and were unseasoned.
