I love trying something different, and Tartaglia's Pizza did not disappoint! On my recent visit, I…read moretried their special with red sauce, organic spinach, mozzarella blend, andouille sausage, roasted red onion, red potatoes, Grana Padano, maple syrup, and ricotta. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical about the potatoes and maple syrup at first, but somehow it all came together perfectly. Honestly, my biggest mistake was only ordering one! The pizza was absolutely amazing and definitely one of those pizzas you keep thinking about afterward. The place itself is small, cozy, and welcoming, with a really nice outdoor seating area. The staff was very friendly, but what I especially loved was listening to them interact with their customers. I overheard someone mention that they've been there for about 10 years, and you can tell they've built some wonderful relationships with the people who keep coming back. I loved hearing the staff ask customers about their families and catch up with them. You could tell from the conversations that they remember not only their regular customers, but their families too. That kind of personal connection is something you don't find everywhere. Between the incredible pizza and the welcoming, neighborhood feel, this was such a great find. I can't wait until I'm back in the area to see what special they come up with next. Next time, though, I'm definitely ordering more than one!

It was tasteless, burned on the bottom (and not just dark but tasted burned) and felt like it needed more of everything, except time in the oven. How can a pizza not be salty enough? No flavor in the sauce and the cheese was some sort of cheap low-moisture part-skim mozzarella imitation blend. The pizzas were SMALL despite having ordered 2 larges and to top it off, they were expensive for what we got. You spend over $40 and you expect larger pies. These were the same size as most smalls you get; can't imagine how small their smalls are. Overall a bad experience, a bad pizza, overpriced and tip suggestions starting at 20% smh. Should've gone to Chesleys right down the street. Much cheaper and much tastier.

My friend stayed with us for a few days while we are on vacation and he grew up in this area. He…read morespoke highly of Vito Marcellos and booked a reservation over a week ago. Even then, we had a late reservation. When we arrived, they were having a 60-90 minute wait. Parking is behind the building, but you have to drive up side the building, not the lot next door. But plenty of spaces. We had a nice table in the back, which works for us. The staff were very friendly and the setting was nice. They offer indoor and patio seating, so, if you dress warm, you could get in faster. They offer a full bar menu for drinks and wine, of course. The food menu is your typical Italian options, so they have something for everyone in our group. They offer bread and salad for most meals, so prepare. They had great service and the food came out pretty quickly and it was hot. LOVE IT. We had a fantastic evening with our friends and it made our vacation weekend to be able to share this experience.

Even though we had a reservation, we waited at least 10 minutes before anyone greeted us or offered drinks. We also had to ask for bread after noticing our server was bringing it to other tables but never offered any to us. Our server was attentive, friendly, and engaging with the surrounding tables, but we felt largely ignored throughout our meal. When we asked for drink recommendations, she wasn't helpful, and after we received drinks we didn't enjoy, she never checked in or asked about them--even though we had only taken a couple of sips. The wait for our entrées was about an hour, with very little communication about the delay. The overall service made us feel like an afterthought from the moment we sat down. What makes this especially disappointing is that this wasn't an isolated experience. This is the second time we've received the same level of poor service at this restaurant, despite having reservations both times. We understand that busy nights happen, but being consistently overlooked and treated differently from nearby tables is frustrating and unacceptable. We had hoped our first experience was just a one-time issue, but after a second visit with the same result, we won't be returning.

We went in and at the kitchen counter we asked if it was too late to order a pizza and they said not at all! Yay! So we ordered a large bacon and mushroom pizza. While we waited we walked around. The bar was packed but could see the bartenders taking care of people in a timely manner and did not see a two people deep situation you might see on a Saturday night. Lots is table seating as well as seating at the huge bar. There was live music and a small area for dancing. Past the stage they have an area for gaming. Video games, darts, and pool tables. All the pool tables were taken with a lively group of people. After a quick walk around we went and waited by the kitchen door area and soon our pizza was ready. Fast and friendly service. Got the pizza back to our Inn and ate. Pizza was good, nothing bad to report and that's coming from a native New Yorker who can be picky about pizza. Many dishes to choose from if pizza is not your thing. When we come back to Plymouth we will stop in again!

Oh, they also ask me if I need any help finding anything. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if they do ask me for my middle name or if I'm hoping for someone to ask me mine. Oh jeesh. In any case, this is THE place to go if you want some good beer. And if you're like myself you'll be tickled pink that they have a wonderful selection of....Belgian beer! With IPAs flooding every brewhouse from here to kingdom come it's so refreshing to be able to suck down a nice, boozy tripel. And another thing! The past two times I've shown my ugly mug there, while waiting in line, a man (maybe the owner?) has come up behind me and surprised me with a chilled version of the beer I was holding. Mystery Man: "Would you like a chilly set of beers, my good sir?" Moi: "Why yes. Yes, I would. I love you." And one last thing. Just today I went there and talked with the clerk for a hot minute. A woman in front of me was wearing an Army of Darkness shirt. He was talking with her about it. If you know and love Army of Darkness that's 5 stars right there. Boom(stick)! 5 stars. It's that easy. Hell, Mystery Man with the cold beer could have told me he spit on them and I'd still have given them 5 stars. This place rules. P.s. My middle name is James!!!!!!!

They had a decent surplus of Bantam Wunderkind, and as the Somerville cidery (and makers of my single favorite cider) recently shuddered, they were happy to sell us their entire stock of the juice to help us prolong the inevitable. And for that, five easy stars.
