The waitress was offended I didn't like it. I said it's no big deal. I just wanted to pay and leave. But, she said "I'll pay for it". I was shocked! I said "no it's okay". She just ignored me. Disappeared. I left 15 dollars at the register. The server was a tall caucasian, blonde, tattoos. Just terrible service. Never going back.

During my second visit, I had dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was almost vacant. I ordered the Halibut Special with the Blueberry Milkshake. The bread halibut and prawns were great, while the fries tasted very good on their own. The tartar sauce was also great and made the seafood taste spectacular. The coleslaw, however, was mildly bland, even if it was free with my entrée. The milkshake was pretty great, with the whip cream flourishing with flavour. So I recommend JoJo's more for their lunches and dinners rather than their breakfasts.

Everything was delicious, the service was excellent, and the place had a classic pub feel while keeping it fun. We compared it to Bordeus, but they closed their Abbotsford location. This was the first time for all of us, one of whom is a local, and we all agreed this is the best place for this type of food in the area. It looked like they also host live music and karaoke events. Kirstin our server was quick with the drinks and accommodating when I asked for easy ice as I'm a slow drinker and don't want watery drinks. The sangria is HIGHLY recommended and incredibly refreshing. It was very busy with grads & their families quickly filing in. It took longer than usual for our meal and when my potato crusted cod was cold I mentioned it but told her not to worry I'd still eat it. To our surprise she had the entree removed without saying a word. We realized this in time to tip her handsomely as it was greatly appreciated but not expected. She set them down and walked away without noticing or addressing them. Once our food arrived, it was actually good, which was the one positive part of the experience. However, she never checked on us--not once--to see if we needed anything. At the end of the meal, she brought the card machine so we could pay and then walked away again without returning. We also asked for a to-go box, which never came. We eventually had to go to the bar and ask another staff member for one ourselves before leaving. Overall, the food was fine, but the service was consistently inattentive and frustrating from start to finish. Given that the restaurant wasn't busy, this was disappointing, and I hope they improve their level of service.

Our food took an hour to come out after ordering. We had the prime rib which came lukewarm. We asked for the bill and it took another 40-45 minutes to pay. We never got our waters refilled. I'd potentially forgive them for the food wait since it was "somewhat busy" but the bill wait was unacceptable. It was at the end of day and almost empty. Would not recommend.
