    Old Town Temecula

First time walking through Old Town Temecula. Love the old, rustic vibe. The buildings have a history, and honestly I'm shocked it's still holding up. I visited on a Saturday night, and it was busyyy. There are many bars, souvenir shops, boutiques, and restaurants. It's very lively! Hospitality is great. I was warmly greeted when I entered every shop and boutique. They offered assistance and very knowledgeable about their products. Parking can be a bit tricky. There's street parking and a parking lot. Street parking is difficult to find. Careful for pedestrians. I highly recommend parking in the lot on 2nd and Main St.

Old Town Temecula seamlessly blends its storied past with an exciting modern energy! This tourist attraction is located in the heart of Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country. Old Town Temecula sits just West of Interstate 15 an hour from San Diego. This tourist attraction offers a unique mix of shops, restaurants, hotels, entertainment and event spaces. Foodies and adventurers are drawn by buzzing eateries, craft cocktail bars and live music venues. You can sample award‑winning wines, sip craft beer, enjoy farm‑to‑table ding and dance the night away at lively bars and speakeasies. Old Town Temecula's entertainment calendar is packed with seasonal car shows, music festivals, heritage and the temperate climate makes indoor and outdoor concerts a year‑round pleasure. Cultural attractions include the Temecula Valley Museum, Pennypickle's Workshop children's museum and live performances at the Old Town Community Theater and The Merc; music lovers can also catch shows at the Old Town Blues Club or two‑step at the Temecula Stampede. Shoppers can hunt for unique treasures in boutiques and vintage shops and sample locally produced olive oils, spices, teas and candies. Every Saturday, a bustling Certified Farmers Market fills the streets with fresh produce, flowers and handcrafted goods. With both free and paid parking, small streets and attractions clustered within easy walking distance, Old Town Temecula is an inviting destination for families, couples and groups. Whether you're browsing shops, savoring local flavors or enjoying live entertainment, the district's authentic charm and lively atmosphere promise a fun and memorable experience.

OLD TOWN TEMECULA is a nice little gem situated right off the 15 freeway. There are so many choices for foodie adventurers and boutiques such as the Olive Oil Company, the sweet shop, the gambling cowboy steakhouse, my matcha place & more! SONG of the DAY to play along to the this YELP REVIEW: The good, The bad and the ugly by Ennio Morricone... I met up with my mom and friends at TEN HUT and then we walked around OLD TOWN afterwards. It was a very hot day but, even on a hot day it still had a strong breeze to keep us cool... It was a great day for some ice cream and company given the fact that it was 96 degrees! There's still so much to explore here in Wine Country and OLD TOWN TEMECULA... ROCK ON OLD TOWN TEMECULA!!!

Located in the southern part of Temecula is where you will find Old Town Temecula. There's several historic buildings still intact including an old hotel & a jail. In this area the city hosts parades, car shows, a weekly farmers market and sometimes special events like concerts as well. There's plenty of shops to peruse, restaurants to enjoy and bars to quench your thirst with ample parking available for free. No matter what you're in the mood for: Mexican, Cuban, Korean fusion, American, tea house, brunch, lunch or dinner, there's an option for you. There's coffee shops, breweries, wineries and even a speakeasy called Thompson and Twain located inside Crush n Brew that I definitely recommend you check out. Expect to walk around quite a bit because there's so many different things to check out. I highly recommend visiting during the holidays, in the evening the streets are beautiful.

It's been years and years since I was last here. Just seeing all new restaurants and shops around the strip was nice. It was busy with the restaurants as it was Easter Sunday. A couple of stores were closed but still a nice stroll along the strip. Same as last, parking can be crazy as there's lots but they tend to fill up fast. Old town still offers a nice vibe but not there's more restaurants than I remember.

Yup, this was definitely where I was!

Wow, this town definitely gave me a different vibe and experience but it was delightful; it felt like I relived those classic American cowboy movies while I was there. Only approximately 2 hours drive from Los Angeles, Temecula is definitely unique and different from the major California cities. Built in 1880s, I was surprised at how well they preserve and maintain the building structures in this town. The place was also very clean (LA could learn a thing or two about cleanliness from this town) I arrived here at around 9PM, and the place was still lively with many people taking a stroll around the town. Unfortunately for me though, most of the shops were already closed but I had fun exploring this side of California. Totally recommended if you are visiting Los Angeles and want to see something different, try visiting Temecula! You will be pleasantly surprised!

This town was a lot bigger than I thought and I am very glad I stopped here on the way to San Diego. It has a very old western type of feel to it. Lots of bars, saloons, taverns, restaurants, and even a really beautiful city hall. We stopped at a few places to visit briefly since we only had one hour. A few of the places that stood out were 1909, Be Good, Crush and Brew, and Espadin. Be Good was very well layed out and decorated. The vibe of Temecula was pretty nice. Lots of people were out and about, talking to us, and just a happy vibe. I plan to go back when I have a few hours and check out more of the shops and restaurants. Very impressive.

There's not a lot to Old Town Temecula but it's very cute! There are a lot of bars and clubs and stores and it's touristy which is why I'm here! I would definitely come back to the candy stores and the olive oil stores.

    Electric light parade 2023

Went to Temecula's Santa Electric Parade. Got there at 5 but parking took a while about 30 mins. Wish the traffic detail was more organized because it seemed as if the volunteers didn't know where to direct traffic. The hotel along the way did have items for sell ( food. Barious beverages) Very family friendly. I do suggest maybe the city start thinking about heaters alongside some of the street lights next yr. Or atleast a warming station. The am/pm was closed prior to the parade starting but the Chevron was open and thank gosh they had some hot chocolate to keep us warm. Overall a good experience. Do keep in mind that the parade is expected to last 2 hrs. We started walking back at 830 and was still able to catch the floats and Santa himself on our way back. Also remember to bring blankets, and gloves. I brought a chair but didn't even need to use it.

This old town Temecula is great for tourists, especially during holidays. Great holiday vibes and well decorated. All shops and restaurants are fully open. Temecula parking garage is free. Street parking is hard to find, but there's plenty of parking spots behind buildings too. The public parking garage is walking distance to the church landmark. Good restaurants and pubs here. Looks like a place for happy hours and Santa sightings everywhere. Yes, people dressed up in Santa Suits and there's beautiful cars everywhere. It just felt like every corner was reserved for Santas walking around during Christmas time. Absolutely cute old town. Gift stores and candy stores are filled with sweets. The place is only a few blocks north and south. They had a public ice skating rink and sole taco trucks operating in front of the church, right next to the Temecula city Christmas tree. Great experience. It was a very long drive from Irvine to Temecula for us, but Christmas vibes exist here. Old buildings look like the wild west old town bars. Some of the buildings look like ones found in New Orleans. Comfortable and cozy town. Definitely different and worth checking out, especially if you're in town to visit Pechanga Hotel Casino not far. Gorgeous neighborhood with spacious streets everywhere.

8th time... Local theater is amazing! Take the time Togo to a show! See the locals and professional talent! Bnb was amazing , fantastic set n acting! clue is still the kids favorite ;)

Old town Temecula hosts great community events. This little strip of old town is an entertainment playground. During the events it does get pretty crowded so parking and traffic are to be expected. There's plenty of restaurant options within walking distance and when you've had your fill you can visit some wineries a short distance away. Relax in the fresh ocean kissed air with rolling hills and expansive views.

If we only have a few hours to explore old town what are the must see restaurants and shops?

I would go with The Goat and Vine for food or Havanna Kitchen. As for shops definitely Old Town Spice Merchants and Temecula Lavender Company.

If you're a fan of food, there's Thai, Mexican, Indian, and so much more in Temecula! Are you a fan of wine? There's TONS of wineries with sweeping views. I enjoy the cool little pumpkin patches in the Fall. There's a lot of pros in pockets of the city, however, I do not relate to many of the folks here and I'm not a fan of the cons. Unfortunately, like Murrieta, there's still much work to do on a cultural level. I find loads of entitled folks and people trying to ban books in our local Temecula school districts. Yes, you heard that right, who the heck bans books? Unstable people, that's who. It's also apparent that locals have a salty attitude towards visitors unless they fit a certain box. I stick to the fun zones of the city (Old Town, Promenade, some wineries) and avoid some of the more bumpkin spots. I have the same issue with Temecula, that I do with Murrieta (although not as bad) and that's due to the fact there's way TOO many houses as far as the eye can see. This problem is especially apparent towards French Valley and South Temecula. All the houses look the same and I feel very claustrophobic in some neighborhoods.
