She always helps me pick new, fun teas and knows exactly what I like, as well as what my grandma might enjoy. I also struggle with sleeping, and the Sweet Dreams tea from here literally helps me--it's become a must-have for winding down at night. Amazing is an understatement! When we first walked in, we felt like we were transported to the Middle East. The aroma of the spices filled the room! They have such a nice selection of spices, teas, and knickknacks. I can see myself going crazy and spending hundreds of dollars. Fortunately they deliver, so that saved me! Everything was well organized and the staff were very helpful. Beware of parking in the rear. The salesperson aggressively yelled over at us to warn that our car was about to be towed, so we had to rush out. Other than that, it's worth a trip when visiting Old Town Temecula. read more

As an purveyor of loose leaf teas, I was delighted to visit Spice & Tea Merchants in Old Town Temecula. Their selection was comprehensive with choices ranging from white, green, black, oolong, and even puerh leaves. I also like that they are not afraid to be creative and offer specialty tea blends; I throughly enjoyed their Lavender Lemon which had lemon, lavender, with lemongrass providing a light herbal blend with a touch of natural sweetness to calm anyone's day. One thing to note is that they have pre-packaged teas available by the ounce for $5-7. The bag appears big therefore it looks like you're not getting much leaves BUT it's actually a lot of tea for an affordable price. I've easily paid $12-26 per ounce at other tea shops in the past so their pricing is a steal! Apparently samples are offered based on other reviews, which would be amazing if I am offered one the next time I stop by. I can't wait to pick up more teas in the future! read more

I found the Old Town Spice and Tea Merchant and was able to peruse their shelves. With a cozy, wood decor their walls are lined with every day spice but also new ones to spice up dinner. With many tea flavors available as well. I found a Sakura pink, Japanese Wash tin and was able to fill it with a peach black tea. Packaged with a bow and gift tissue, ready to gift right out the door. Their team was very helpful in answering all my questions and allowed me to smell the teas in order to make a final decision for my purchase. On my way out, I grabbed a tea to-go. Their tea blends are outstanding! Hazelnut Cream is my all-time favorite, but I've really enjoyed their Blackberry Sage and Paris blends as well. I'm so glad they're here. So the first time I stepped into this shop, I was impressed. I got a warm welcome & was invited to smell the teas & spices. You should see what kind of selection they have in both spices & teas, hard to pick just one item. I ended up gettting a sample of Mr. Pistachio & his date tea, as they made me a cup of it in house. We visited Old Town Spice and Tea Merchants yesterday because my husband remembered that he had a e-gift card that was given to him quite some time ago, and we wanted to try to use it. We had tried coming here before when he was given the card, but had to leave at the time and did not purchase anything that day. Anyway, they were having trouble with the gift card because they no longer used the same system that they did when the card was issued. Yes, it was that long ago. We had the original email the gift card came in, but the employees were still having trouble. A very kind lady working there, I think she may have been the manager, was able to help us and we were able to use the card. The customer service was outstanding. This is such an awesome little shop with so many wonderful and fun teas and spices. Great for those who love to cook, or for gift-giving. I was very happy with what we purchased - a green tea sampler and a dill pickle salt. The atmosphere felt a bit cold, as others have mentioned, which is disappointing because customer service should always feel warm and welcoming. It's key to creating a positive experience, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. The interaction started off fine, but when I casually asked if they ever have any casual jobs available, the owner's response of "no, never ever" felt oddly curt. It came with an icy vibe that was hard to ignore. While I can't say for sure, I couldn't help but wonder if my friend's Trump hat influenced her attitude--if so, that's disheartening. Tea should be something that brings people together, regardless of politics. On top of that, the products didn't deliver good value. The $5 tea samplers I purchased were only 1/4 full, which felt like a ripoff. I'd happily pay more if the quality matched the price, but it didn't. Overall, the experience left a sour taste. The store's vibe was unwelcoming, the service lacked warmth, and the products didn't meet expectations. Sadly, I won't be returning. We put the Black Truffle Sea Salt on a pasta dish and it went from an 8 to 800! Wow! Truly elevated the dish and meal. I'm already online making sure I can ship seasonings from this store to the Bay Area (Phew I can!). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, let us smell some of the different spices, and gave us some great recipe ideas. Adorbies little spice/tea shop located in Old Town Temecula. I made it just in time before closing on their 14th Anni-Birthday! Cutest little shop and the sweetest employees! I walked away with some goodies because fellow Elite Vincent C. told me to go and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Well, he was right!! So thank you Vincent!! So far all your tips have been on point!! Lol The ladies here are all so nice and welcoming and are very attentive. Even though I came in close to closing time, I didn't feel rushed and they helped me find some goodies I didn't even know I'd want, haha! I even got to take an iced Blueberry Mango (decaf) tea on the go! The nice lady who brought it out to me said she could make it sweeter if I needed her to. She went and made a honey mix for me and poured it in til it was just right! Gotta love great customer service!! They will happily make you a hot or iced drink as you shop. Nice touch! There's a bunch of things to buy, too. In addition to their exotic tea and spice collection, they have tea pots and kettles, strainers, on-the-go thermal cups and more! Found this place yesterday while my girlfriend and I were out and about, never seen it before much less heard of it until she pointed it out but I'm glad she did.
