When questioned, they claim the "systems are already shut down," yet it is clear they are still assisting customers inside. Today, I experienced this firsthand and was met with a dismissive and unprofessional attitude, particularly from the older gentleman on staff. I arrived with ample time to drop off a package but was denied service due to this practice. They continue to put mail in on top of my note...they would not remove it. Everyday for 2 weeks I would go into this post office on My Way to MY JOB, they will open late then have attitude cause people outside waiting! Then move without a sense of urgency after we the customer been waiting for them to open...If a staff doesn't know something, why can't they ask someone in charge?- instead of just saying I don't know & on to the next customer. I had to resort to sitting in my car to wait for them to show up on a Saturday just to get my dammm package out the mailbox they shoved in that tiny mailbox... I have always had pleasant experiences with the people at this post office so with me waking up to…read morethis rainy Sunday afternoon I thought I would share the EXCEPTIONAL service I received from Leanne, on my last visit. My company Pi-bytes needed to overnight a box of bytes to a customer in Texas. Pi-bytes are perishable so I am always trying to get to the post office right before closing so they can stay frozen for the maximum amount of time. As I get there this last time I am told that the address I am shipping to is unable to do overnight. I guess it was some place rural or remote. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO??? Leanne holds the pi-bytes for me so I can make a call. I get back in line and by this time it's 4:35. PAST CLOSING. BUT, IT GETS BETTER... Leanne helps me find a post office that will accept overnight. So my customer can now go to San Antonio and pick her pi-bytes up there. We get the paper work done and off go the pi-bytes. I know what it's like to be ready to go home and in comes that last minute customer! UGH! Leanne stayed very friendly as she always has been to me. She goes above and beyond anything that could possibly be required of her. She didn't rush me. There is another post office about 5 minutes away that is open later but the staff there are just not as friendly and helpful.
