I enjoyed their "American Lager" and attended a few Zoom calls, wrote a bunch of emails and basically hung out here. If I hadn't already had lunch, the $9 burger fries and drink special would have been awesome. Next time, for sure. This was a really super place. Comfortable, great beer and speedy wifi. What more could I possibly ask for? And don't miss a tour of the vault where they have their merch for sale. [Review 943 of 2026 - 322 in Ohio - 26123 overall]

First we walked into this bright happy chill vibe brewery with a large selection of all different varieties on tap. We were immediately greeted by Valerie who explained what they have on tap, that we ordered through the bar, and what their specials were. I ended up having a peach ring drink, he ended up having 2 or 3 beers, and I bought a growler of their spiced imperial to go. We were on a mission to try chili all over Ohio so Valerie recommended the chili beer cheese fries and Cincinnati chili double cheese burger which were out of those world good! It was their own cool twist on Cincinnati's unique version of chili that we loved. I would have bought a growler of that beer cheese if I could haha. I had a fun jalapeño popper fried chicken sandwich special they were offering and it phenomenal, I could have eaten 2. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful with a nice big flavorful crunchy batter. We ate every bit of everything. We can't wait to go back! Amazing everything.

Thin, tender, crispy. And the onion rings... Oh, the onion rings! Don't miss out on ordering these, fantastic! Beer selection is all in cans, but excellent. We sat outside on a lovely day, and our server, Bridget, took excellent care of us! Don't miss this spot if you are in the area!

They mostly serve beer on tap I believe and the drinks they have are more seltzers in a can than an actual mixed cocktail. My boo ordered the Jimbo's burger which was a pretty big burger and he substitute cheese for bleu cheese. The burger was very big and fulfilling. The bleu cheese gave it a different taste that imma definitely have to try again. I ordered the buffalo wings which were so good and super saucy, I just wish the wings were fried hard before being coated. The waitresses were so nice and gave us a few recommendations on where to go to hike at the trails etc. The burger filled my boo up so I know it was pretty good 10/10 will have to come revisit

Looking for something besides highway fast food offerings, I asked the gentleman at the store if there was anywhere good to eat. He directed me to this place where the bartender was great, the back patio was good dog friendly, and the candied bacon BLT (add cheddar) contained the best candied bacon I have ever had. It was delicious! The unsweet tea actually tasted fresh brewed, not over stewed, and was refreshing. I will definitely make the short detour any time I travel up or down the 71 during their open hours.

Sterling, OH 43143 (740) 831-4018 This morning I rolled into Hammer Time Pub for a little Saturday Morning Fuel-Up and decided to go big or go home. Enter the Tool Kit #3 -- or as I like to call it, The Philly Cheesesteak Meets Tater Tot Avalanche. Base layer: crispy golden tater tots Perfectly seasoned Philly cheesesteak beef Mushrooms, onions, peppers Ghost pepper cheese bringing the heat Friends... this was a LOT of food. Like, "better have your morning cleared" kind of food. As a Philly cheesesteak fan, this hit me right in the taste buds. And with the EMS station right across the street, I felt comforted knowing my #CardiacCare plan was already in place. Yes, it was a little salty -- but hey, it's pub food. That's like complaining your milkshake is too sweet. #Hypertension Verdict: Awesome food, hearty portions, and a hometown vibe that makes you want to linger. If you're at Deer Creek State Park, it's just a short hop for great eats, chill vibes, and good company. Bald White Guy Official Rating: ‍‍‍ (3 1/2 Bald Heads) Why did the tater tot go to therapy? There were two tables of people there when we arrived and it was fairly quiet. We ordered and sat at a table and noticed there was seating outside so we moved outside to soak up some sunshine. My husband ordered a strawberry shake and large order of fries to split and we both had the single bacon cheese burger. I had mine on a gluten free bun. The burgers came out and our mouths fell open. They were beautiful with the beef, bacon, cheese, sliced onion and tomato and special sauce. We could just get our mouths open enough for a bite. Wonder how that works with the double burger. The first bite was WOW. Now this is what a burger should taste like. And the hand cut fries were delicious also. I tased my husband's strawberry shake and that was also excellent, so much so that he felt better that they were out of chocolate...lol. The chef asked us on our way out how our food was. We would definitely come back here for these burgers, fries and shakes done just right!

Maddy's fit the bill for a break away from work lunch while on the road. Right out of the 50's, this gleaming location greets you with chrome, red bar stools, the requisite "Kiss My Grits" tin sign on the wall, and 50's music piping from the speakers. The special that day: double cheeseburger. $6. In today's economy?? Only $6?? All the menu items were priced nicely, easy on the wallet. While I was tempted to try a burger, I wanted to see how a diner classic would pan out, so ordered the country fried steak. Placed my order, and before I could manage to take in all the deco on the walls the food arrived from the line station right behind the counter. They serve you a steak knife, but you don't need it, the steak is fork ready, as it should be. They give you two sides option, so I went with green beans and taters, of the french variant. Both were spot on, and I left full and satisfied. I think the total bill came in under $10 or right around there. Good food, filling, and super light on the budget - what more can you ask for? If you find yourself in Waverly, OH, and you would like to fill your belly without worrying about a side hustle to pay the tab, head to Maddy's.
