Fuel has been in business for a few years despite a number of flaws. The place inexplicably closes at 8:00 pm despite the fact the Huntington restaurant crowd is still going until 10, and it's in The Market with Austin's Ice Cream and Taqueria 84, which are open later. I was in line tonight and with another person in front of me and the clock struck 8:00 and the young woman at the counter literally told us, "Sorry, that was the last customer. We close at 8." I've never been in line at a counter business in my life and been turned away because of hours. Second, the sandwiches here made with overly thick bread but the meat portions are paper thin. These are not sandwiches, they are bread with a hint of meat. I always get the pizzas here as thst is all they offer that is worthwhile. Unfortunately, though, there is... Third, they haven't changed the menu since they opened. It's bee. the same damned options for the past few years! People say they have a favorite (always pizza) at Fuel and that's because they can never get a new option. This is a lazy business that had a great beginning but one which doesn't listen to its customers at all. They've been told about the hours, the fat bread, and the lack of new options by many people, and they feign a politeness that tells you that they don't value your opinion. It gets by because it's in a town with few options and even fewer new ones. read more

I ordered here for lunch pickup this past week. I ordered a make your own salad and it was quite delicious. It was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely order here again. Just know that they don't mark online orders with your name. They go by the order #. I did not pick up my own food. So I don't know how parking is here. read more

If you've never been here, it's a Subway style ordering system where you go from station to station while team members build your sandwich, salad, or flatbread. Prices are fair, parking sucks, but that's not Fuel counter's fault. Hilghly reccomend for a healthier option when you're downtown or in Barboursville. read more

It is a rarity that you find a place that is healthy, delicious, cost effective, good service, and fast. With the fuel counter you get all five with a side of extra delicious. I got the Italian wrap and modified the heck out of it swapping proteins and cheeses while adding extra toppings. It was exactly right and the most delicious wrap of my life. I came here passing through on a road trip and I'm modifying my trip back to run through the fuel counter again. I just wish we had one back in Philly. This is a MUST TRY. I normally love the service and quality of all 3 Fuel Counter locations. I just received the worst customer service at the Huntington "Market" location. There was a sign advertising a "Lean and Green Salad" for $9.25 full size. It was very specific on what went into the salad and I ordered accordingly. When I got to the register a girl came up and said "this is a full size salad and it's $10.25. There is no special pricing". I explained that the sign said $9.25 and I ordered the $9.25 special salad. Her response was "I have no way to ring it in or discount it. If you want the salad it's $10.25". I bought the overpriced salad and told them to take down the sign if they are not honoring the price. It will be awhile before I go back for my bi-weekly salads. read more

The pizza would've been great, if it hadn't been scorched to the point that there were actual coals on the pizza. I bit into a pepper and it tasted like I was eating the leftovers of a campfire. read more

What can I say other than you should definitely try this place! We were headed to an escape room (in the same building) and wanted to grab lunch first. An employee of the escape room suggested this place so we figured or was worth a try. We had five in our group, me and four kids (two teenagers, two younger). So we are staring at the menu being indecisive and somewhat clueless. Luckily the staff here is amazing. They were so patient with all of us and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They did not make us feel rushed and made sure we got what we wanted including a couple special requests from the kids. We ordered three pizzas, one sandwich, and one salad. The ingredients on the bar were fresh and plentiful. Tofu was available which my kids already like but they really liked the tofu from this place and asked for more when they were done. Everything was great! Other things to note: There is no designated seating since there are other eateries in the same area, somewhat like a food court. We went on a Saturday so parking wasn't easy to come by. You should definitely stop by if you're in the area for any reason. read more

Initially for my first time at Fuel I was going to order a Kale Yeah salad, however after viewing the selection of produce I made my own. The service was quick, informative, and friendly! The salad was a decent portion and they let me load it up. Highly recommend this on your lunch break. The Tuscan salad is delicious but I'm disappointed that there isn't any nutritional information on the website and when I called both locations they could not provide me with any information. Nice place in the Market in Pullman Square. Just sandwiches, salads, and pizza, but with a tremendous variety of ingredient options. Fresh, and good. I have had the steak sandwich and it was good, but was jealous of my dining partner's salad. So next time, had a custom ordered salad, and I can't get over how many choices of ingredients they have, and it was awesome. The ginger sesame dressing is spot on. Most recent visit, I made a pizza. Crust was worthy, and my creation of pesto sauce, mozzarella, toppings, and a finish of chili oil was fantastic. But it's your mood, so you get to have what you are craving. Protein choices for your dish include beef, chicken, turkey, tofu, and marinated shrimp. The only thing I would like to see added is tuna. I understand that fresh tuna might not be feasible at this price point (less than $8 for whatever you design), but even a frozen or good quality canned tuna would be a nice option that I hope they consider. Great place for a quick and tasty business lunch. I can get out of there for under $10 per person including drinks, and it is fresh and good. I will be back. read more
