I asked how much it would be to enlarge an old photo to make a single 4 x6, and they quoted me around $200 (and even then, the woman seemed to be hesitating with agreeing to that amount). Popped in today to get an idea what it would cost to have several of my 11X14 acrylic paintings digitized. Met with Jordan. Very nice, explained the procedures well. Professional shop, multiple large Canon printers along South wall, clean workspace, open and inviting. Their price to "prep" each piece is $200. Then after they have prepped each piece, it's an additional $60 to "capture" the image. So, for all thirty pieces of my art...it would cost me $7,800. Call me crazy, but a struggling new artist cannot afford that. Choosing 'one star' due to price alone. read more

We used Old Town Editions twice for giclee prints of two paintings and then two prints. The results were stupendous. We needed to display one of the paintings and we used the giclee copy. No one knew the difference. The color rendition on one of the paintings actually came out somewhat better than the original. The people at Old Town Editions were a pleasure to deal with. They were responsive to our time requirements (which were not very onerous). They arranged to ship the second set we left with them. The ability to do these copies was a lifesaver for us. One of the paintings was something everyone in our family wanted. The availability of high quality copies made everyone happy. We were even able to get copies at a reduced size, which fit the needs and space availability for several family members. In all, I think we made 15 or so copies of the one key painting. The cost of additional copies is quite reasonable. We went back to Old Town for work that we needed in Boston, rather than taking the originals to Boston and finding a copier their. I have used OTE for printing a lot of my artwork. I do digital illustration, and they make it easy to send my work to them through file transfer, and then pick it up. Usually it is small prints on paper. I have done a large scale 54 inch by 50 print on canvas and put on a stretcher they built. Their work and printing is always high quality- 5 star - top notch!! I had this team put on canvas a 36 year old wedding picture for our anniversary. The final work was fantastic.
