There are new owners to this place and let me tell you that these are the best burgers in town if not the state. There was no menus online so called but no answer, then within a minute got a call back and the lady was so nice. She told us the prices and what they served and when the best time to come in at. So we came when she suggested and I will never regret it. The burgers were huge and soooo good and juicy, and I'm not even a burger gal. The fries were amazing. The server was so nice and friendly. Great local spot . Stoped in for lunch while washing clothes across the street. Bergers were memorable. we ordered one as a meal with curly fries and a drink and the other with just water. There were more than enough fries on one plate for two people. came back next day for breakfast and ordered a huge 4 egg omelet with hash browns and pancakes to split. They split everything for us and brought out 2 plates. Coffee was only $1 and you served yourself for coffee and drinks. Lots of local people coming and going. read more

Absolutely delightful little diner. We missed breakfast, which had been our original plan, but decided to belly up to the bar for lunch instead. Originally I ordered the mini burgers on the Hawaiian rolls but when I saw the mushroom bacon burger going out to someone else I immediately had orderer's (is that a word???) remorse and snagged one of the staff to change my order. Totally the right choice. That burger kicked ass. Combined with the tender inside/crispy straight fries?? My "I'm cheating on keto" heart was in heaven. The food was great but the reason for five stars is all Faith and Bryan. Faith is new; Bryan is a seasoned veteran. They were both delightful and made us feel welcome and like family. We all chatted like we were old friends, they made great recommendations about what to do while we were visiting, and were it not for the COVID, I would have hugged them when I left!!! I'm surprised I haven't written a review before today. In the last couple of years I've only known this place as Old Town Burger, not Diner, but I do now. I came in for breakfast and thought it was a decent deal. You can get most options under $14, and includes pancakes and hashbrowns. I got an omelette and subbed tomatoes for hashbrowns. Dining companion got my pancakes and they looked great. I've always had decent service. In the past I've had different burgers, and those are also good eats. With Covid and everything you would think they would understand. But if you walk in with a mask on expect to wait an 5-10 before anyone even hands you a menu. While others who walked in after us got menus right away. The breakfast menu says in house only. But I guess that doesn't apply to locals. As a local had breakfast to-go. This was my first dine in experience since Covid started. It was horrible. They have no ventilation or open windows. I have come to the dinner since they first opened too. They also no longer have fry sauce. The breakfast portions are huge, fair priced on that too. I would suggest them if they were not so prejudiced against people wearing masks. In my humble opinion from a Californian, this is the best place to eat in Valdez. We were coming into town from Copper Center looking for a place to eat lunch and ended up here. We ordered the following: Halibut Sandwich Halibut Fish Tacos The Halibut Sandwich is the way to go. Although I eyeballed the burger that a nearby patron ordered. In the end we even decided to come back here for dinner too because we didn't stomach paying the super high prices at the seafood joints in town. I had a cheese burger that just hit the spot. The fries were so so, but the burger made up for it.
