My husband found this company through another chimney sweep company. The technician, John, was able to come on MLK holiday. He listened to what we needed, did a thorough inspection, and worked on repairing the pilot. It took him less than an hour to get everything working. The price he told us was very reasonable. We were relieved when he told us that our igniter was no longer working and we needed to replace it. He said that he would need a couple of days to quote the price for the igniter, and then when the part arrived, he would schedule the service to replace the igniter. He said he would get somebody out the next week around the 9th or 10th. I didn't hear a word and called on 2-12 and left him a message to let me know what he was going to do. Never called me, still hasn't. I called another company and they came out that day and fixed it. If they had told me when I first called that he was too busy or something it would have been ok but he just left me waiting and didn't have the decency to call me back. This company charged $210 just to come and look at a fireplace/chimney. They did mention they would…read morecome and do a 21-point inspection but I thought the fee would go towards the total if we had them complete the repair required and I was getting an estimate. It wasn't until the technician told me they were done with the inspection but wouldn't send it until they got paid that I realized they were expecting payment now. He called a supervisor who was very unprofessional and told me they were going to call the police if I didn't pay the guy even after I told them I wouldn't have had them come if I realized I wasn't just getting an estimate and they didn't make that clear. I wouldn't recommend this company - they told me I needed $2,350 of work done. I had another company do the repair more the way I wanted and expected and they charged $400, including the inspection.
