Such an experience! Well worth it just for the memorabilia, but the pizza is also tasty, too. So many things to look at for all generations. And the arcade has something for everyone. It's impossible not to have a smile on your face here! read more

Malta, Illinois probably isn't on many people's path. But you might want to fit it in. A couple blocks from Rt 38 you'll find Old School Pizza - and appropriately named pizza pub that once used to be Malta Grade School. The interior of OS is a site-seeing tour. Tons of memoriabia from the past. They have a giant dining room, a separate bar room and a few rooms with video games. But above all this is their amazing pizza. We had a Cheese and Hawaiian pizza and really liked both. A size large here probably feeds any 3 people. Bring your quarters for the video games and pinball machines. This place is a blast. Cheers. read more

Ambiance is great! The memorabilia to look at is cool. My kids love it! The arcade is fun. The service was decent. On a busy night & being short staffed the service was decent considering the situation. Food was decent. We enjoy the pizza from other local places much better. Dining in a pizza place the experience it is pretty cool. I recommend going at least once to check out all the neat memorabilia. read more

The pizza was pretty good; we ordered the BBQ and bacon pizza. It was perfectly made and took only 20 mins. We were gonna eat there but decided to take it home. During the time we waited we played some video games in the arcade. It was kind of expensive but it was good. I would try it again. read more

Good pizza! Amazing atmosphere -- great family place, with so many nostalgic items to view. Takes you back to your childhood!

The pizza is awesome! Limited options of other foods. Loved all of collections. Just west of Dekalb and easy to find.

The pizza and appetizers are delicious and warm when served. The staff is friendly, efficient and even the owner came by to see how we all enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere is very cool. It's nostalgic and reminds me of a giant arcade. The price is good and the portions are generous. read more

Food 3.5/5. Service 2.5/5. Ambiance 5/5. Person behind counter displayed few customer service skills, she seemed very disinterested in attending to us. Pizza was good. Cool decor. read more

We saw this place opened up in the old school in Malta, and wanted to give it a try. For starters, the place is FULL of eye candy. They have movie figures and monsters, memorabilia, juke boxes, working arcade games, and just TONS of stuff to look at. Great for kids and adults who want to take a trip down Memory Lane. We were greeted and seated promptly by the staff, and asked for our drink orders. They do have soft drinks and even beer if you'd like. We ordered The Diana Ross - Supreme Pizza (get it). It came with all the good stuff, and was served hot out of the oven. Very nice! The wait for the pizza was short, but it was a Thursday night. We had to park in front of the AMC Pacer (a real 1970s car) since the parking lot was full. If the parking lot is full, you can park on the street too. The arcade games looked really great and the kids in the restaurant were playing them. Service was good, the food was great, and the price was very reasonable. A large group had a party there - the kids had a blast! Try this place out! read more

Best pizza in the Malta/DeKalb/Sycamore area! I highly recommend THE GODFATHER, their Italian Beef pizza.

Looking to get your fill of movie memorabilia and some pizza pie? How about in a nondescript, rural town where you likely won't have to wait for a table or need an advanced reservation? This is the place for you! The pizza hits the spot but isn't the pull to come here. Instead, it is the incredible, top to bottom movie memorabilia that spans all generations and all genres. There are even gems spilling out of the restaurant into the parking lot and front green space. The ambiance is a BLAST. We couldn't stop looking around and pointing and talking about all things movies while dining here. The service was fast and friendly. We weren't big fans of eating pizza off disposable plates with plastic cutlery. We were cutting up pizza for toddlers and cutting right through the plates. Not ideal. Available drink options paired well with pizza. The prices were ok but there was a service charge automatically added to our check so something to be aware of especially when tipping. read more

One of the best tasting gluten free crust around. Went on the Wednesday night before thanksgiving. Service was slow I'm sure because of lots of carry out business and the large groups inside. Lots of memorabilia on the inside. Bring quarters for the video arcade if it's busy to entertain the kids. read more

Old School Pizza Malta - Pizza Near Me - Malta, Illinois

If your near DeKalb, get out to Malta and eat at Old School Pizza, located in an Former School. This place is awesome with delicious food. Had one of the best Hot Dipped Beef sandwiches of all time. Pizza is great too. The decor of this place will keep you occupied while you wait. It's like a museum of pop culture mixed with cafe 80's. Lots of fun. Just a short drive from DeKalb. read more

OMG I love this place. Best pizza in all of Northern IL and the collection of cultural memorabilia is incredible. My kids love the retro arcade games. read more

Was a hit or miss for us. Pizza was ok, seem to have issues of running out of something's. They cut their menu back, I assume due to covid. I think more sandwich options would be good. I was k no it impressed by the fries. Seemed like fries out of a bag. But the Mac n cheese bites were great! read more

What delicious pizza with great service and a really cool place! I ordered the Supreme and the Sweethaven pizzas and really enjoyed them both. You need to go here and experience it. So cool with amazing food and atmosphere. It's a winner! read more

Great environment for kids with lots to look at! Unique, but delicious combinations to pick from for pizza and appetizers. A little much for what you get though. read more

This place is Awesome! To start with, the nostalgic decor is reason enough to stop in. Then the efficient attention by the staff is very noteworthy In it's self. Started with a couple of beers and some oddly delicious corn fritters. Then onto the pizza. I've eaten a lot of Pizza in my time and theirs is among the best. The bill at the end didn't really hurt either. This small business is a bright spot in their community. Stop in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place is like going back into your childhood. There is always something I did not notice before. The pizza does match the displays.

Amazing atmosphere, awesome people. Even the music was good! Very friendly and down to earth place . Pizza was great...good moist crust (not soggy or greasy), flavorful cheese, and a traditional tasty sauce. Ingredients were fresh. I will definitely return. read more
