They do advertise for combo deal's, slices, $1 wings. Angelina's is directly across the street from Hubbard Park too. I'd assume people grab and go to the park. We ordered a simple cheese pizza and a chicken cutlet sandwich. The pizza was fresh, melty cheese with tasty Italian spices and perfectly cooked crust, but wasn't anything special. There are many other pizzerias in the area so it comes down personal preference and price. The chicken cutlet sandwich was a decent size and delicious. We were happy with the portion sizes, quality, and price. Our total was about $23 and we had leftovers (this was for 2 people). We will likely order again and will think of this place if we plan to have pizza for a gathering.

On a recent Saturday I finally stopped in for their $6.50, 2 slice pizza deal that comes with a 20 ounce Coke. The pizza is New Haven style and baked in a wood fired oven, need I say more? The slices were delicious and likely the best in the immediate area so I will be returning in the not too distant future. One word of caution - be prepared to pay an additional 4% over menu prices if you choose to pay by credit card.

Pizza pizza pizza!…read more We ordered the pepperoni with hot honey. The pizza wasn't too greasy, and the requested "well done" pepperoni wasn't as well done as I would have like, but still very delicious. The garlic knots were fill of garlic and perfect with a side of marinara sauce.

Two offer wood fired pizza while the third impresses by offering an inexpensive 2 slice combo that includes a soda. The fourth being Illiano's where once again I forgot how relatively expensive their slices were in the past and likely continue to be though admittedly I neglected to inquire or take note of how much I paid. I requested a pair of cheese slices, NY style according to its website, to go and after paying was ignored by one and all for too many minutes. Although they advertise on their website that a snack in the form of a tiny nugget of pizza would be offered, none was offered to me - boohoo. Finally one of the employees broke away from whatever he had been engaged in, took note of my order of which there was no others and placed the slices in the oven. Shortly thereafter the slices were properly reheated, boxed and handed to me with nary an apology or a smile offered. These were consumed in the car where both of us agreed the crust bordered on being tasteless and the toppings only fractionally better. This location, the owners third, has been in operation since 2008 so obviously they are doing something right though you could not prove it by me.

Been everywhere for pizza, all the greats. This place and Roseland are tied atop my list…read more In fact, Little Rendezvous by a slice. As authentic as it gets. The guy has been making pizza since he was 15, there, and their oven is 120 years old. They are meticulous. Every single pie is the same quality. The crust is really unique. If you enjoy thin crust pizza, you have to order it here. Thin, crispy. Their house pie--sausage, mushrooms and peppers--is outstanding. Never overly wet or greasy, slices are uniform. Just made by the best of the best, in the best oven. Prices are remarkably affordable. Despite their reputation they stay the same. Will always feel like a family-run, neighborhood gem. Just a great place. Service is top-notch. Friendly, on-time, good guys. Ambiance is what you'd expect. Great vibes. Tiny place. Old-fashioned. If you can get a table, it's clean and an enjoyable spot. You can also take out, and find a place close by to park or a bench.

If you like New Haven style pizza, which is arguably the 'esemplare' of all pizza, then visiting The Little Rendezvous is a MUST visit if you live within 90-min. Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Bucket-list item checked off! Overall score = 5.0!!!

I went for lunch last week and Param Noodle. It was absolutely packed with flavor. The rich creamy peanut sauce made my mouth sing with joy. I added chicken for my protein and the white meat chicken was moist and tender. I was so pleased I went back the next day for lunch with a friend.
