I ordered some chair pads for my kitchen table through the owners. They used a local company, Rhody Rugs, to stock some of their products. I love that local supports local here! The products are reasonably priced! The owners take a holiday during the month of July (Probably to make room for more cool things they will find on holiday!) and when I went there recently, they had a 20% off sale on the entire store! The owners are also very, very kind. They took the time to talk to me to get to know me. I went back to the store to pick up my chair pads and I did not expect them to remember me, but they did! It's so rare and lucky to find a business that cares about customers like this. This is a store I will be going to frequently, as the merchandise will change and turnover and the owners are awesome!

had a great experience here this weekend…read more my boyfriend had some old coins he wanted appraised (not necessarily ready yet to sell), and the owner of this shop gave us wonderful attention. he was very matter of fact, but also very fair. for instance, i was wearing a ring i was considering selling, and he literally turned me down, telling me i could get more for it selling it on my own- i appreciated his honesty! i think if you're looking for an honest opinion on the worth of your valuables/collectibles, this is a great place to come. i highly recommend it.

They have dates on most items and after a certain date the price goes down but the item may not be there. Lots of furniture, dishes, nicknacks etc. I bought a beautiful plate and a picture for my plant wall. I was left alone to look which I like. Don't believe the hype. This store is NOT worth a trip to New Bedford…read more It's not because they don't have plenty of vintage clothes -- they do. It's just that 80% of their stock SUCKS. It's cheap and ugly vintage -- it's the stuff no one wants that would be left behind at a garage sale. Think heavy woolen overshirts from the 1950s and 1960s that fit poorly, look bad, and make you sweat, or old ugly polyester suits that were cheap when they were made and still look just as cheap. There are live moths and plenty of moth holes on the clothes here. Compare the price of 1970s blazer in mint condition -- here it's 85 bucks, at Goodwill in Boston, it's 8 bucks. The inventory of this store might be good if you're making a Scorcese period movie or for Halloween, but you're unlikely to wear anything that's here on a day-to-day basis. Most of the clothes here are HEAVY (physically heavy), and the racks are all so stuffed you can't look at anything without practically ripping it out of the rack, and then forget about trying to put it back. It's like the owner is afraid to throw anything away. This store would do much better if it were closer to Boston, or if it was in New York. Then maybe there would be far more turnover, hipper pieces, and fewer moths. If you want to see an exemplary vintage menswear store, check out Crowley Vintage in Brooklyn or Pick n Weight in Berlin. Don't get me wrong, I see what the store owner is trying to do here, and maybe 25 years ago, this was where it was at. But the world -- including the vintage world -- has changed, and this store's inventory is stuck in the past -- and not in a good way.

The place had a mix of authentic antiques and new made to look old stuff in a few booths. A number of booths featured vintage clothing, and home decor, with the full rainbow of small collectibles and ephemera. Also, as an out-of-towner, the directions took me to the front of the store, with only street parking, but there was a parking lot behind the building, and other fun shops in the building. This was on a lower level. Definitely a spot worth wandering around if you like old things.

Very interesting and unique locally owner stores and super friendly people!! I was fascinated by the store " Seed to Stem" which is described as a lifestyle and plant boutique. They had a fascinating array of plants and plant related books/items as well as a full array of interesting home related items...decor items crystals/incense, books and the like. It was easy to spend on hour in the store just taking it all in. We also went to the Aristide in the basement and enjoyed looking at the wide range of items...books, clothing, jewelry, knick knacks of various ages, and general home decor items.
