The first order I placed online (which included a promo code) did not allow me to change the "ship to" address and defaulted instead to the one they had for my son in CT (I live in the Rochester, NY area). So I called. The associate cancelled that order and sent me an email confirming the cancellation. He advised me to go back to their website and reorder. I did but this time it would not allow me to apply the promo code (said I had already used it). So I called again. This associate re-entered all the information, took my correct shipping and billing address (are the same) and reapplied the promo code. So far so good. She put me on a brief hold and YEP! we got disconnected. So I called back. The third associate could barely communicate in English, and I am very patient and tolerant when English is a second language. She could not figure out how to reapply the promo code to BOTH items on the order. I hung up. I'll to Brook Brothers instead.

I have visited a couple of Athleta stores over the past few weeks. Tonight's visit was impromptu while I was trying to get some exercise by walking around in the mall. I noticed that they had a sale sign out, I'm always in to see what is on clearance or reduced rack. Just as the staff at my local store has proven to be, the staff was friendly and informative. I was able to try some pants on and get suggestions, and I even asked which color looked best and got a solid answer. The store associate that was their knew about all of the new items and also was willing to pull stuff from the back that was on clearance or close out to show me. I will continue to shop at this chain. I am extremely impressed.

All the employees in the store were friendly and stocking shelves etc. but when I had a question and needed to get a handbag unlocked someone was there almost immediately. Also, the woman monitoring the fitting room was nearby working on some shelves but when I walked up she popped right over to get me a number so I could try on my clothes. again, she wasn't just standing around. Megan was busy restocking when I spoke with her and she put down what she was doing and helped my mother and I for a good 20 minutes. Megan pulled out various styles and sizes and asked questions to help us find what my mother needed. My mother had a stroke several years ago so with limited mobility and eyesight, it is not easy to shop for clothes. Megan was polite, patient and proactive in anticipating what we were trying achieve and to do it in a timely manner. After selecting three very comfortable and fashionable shorts, we move on to the checkout where Natalie was super helpful in getting me signed up for a Marshall's card and swiftly through the process. When I spoke with Megan and Natalie's manager Nani, to tell her about their kind service, I could see they were led by someone who models good customer service as she was very nice as well. Marshall's has always been a favorite of my mother's due to the value and prices. Today they get excellent marks for customer service!

Today, I didn't start on the right foot with being confused by text messages and emails and online only versus store sales. I was prepared to buy several of one type of tank. I did leave the store to check online and call customer support. I was so ably served by both Brittania and supervisor, Kendra, over the phone. Kendra encouraged me to go back in the store as I said I want this store to get credit for an in-store sale. When I spoke with Patrice and explained to her what Kendra would do for me, she immediately said that she would honor that. I was treated kindly, respectfully, and more than fairly, and I sincerely thank Patrice, the store manager, and encourage folks to shop at Chico's in Pittsford.
