As far as the store is concerned, they have eliminated many of the brands that I used to look for. Many of the coupons do not work on the more premium brands. I do not recommend shopping at Kohl's as they are no longer of value.

I was greeted by Mitsu, who I found out is the owner/curator/creative genius behind nakamuraya. Curiosity got the best of me, as it always does, and I asked Mitsu what his story was and how this shop came to be (I'll let you hear his story straight from him if you visit the shop, which I highly recommend you do!). Not only is his background in the fashion/production industry extremely fascinating, he's got an amazing eye for detail and utilization/functional design + art. The clothing selection is thoughtfully selected, and each piece seems to have a beautiful story behind it that Mitsu was so happy to share. Not only did he take the time to show me design details of each piece I inquired about -- like a jacket/vest 2-in-1 combo that has actual working FANS with ventilation on the inside of the jacket, commonly used by construction workers in Japan -- he even demoed them for me! The attention to detail is very apparent, even down to the way he packaged my purchases neatly in my bag with delicate care. All in all, I definitely recommend everyone to stop by and check this place out. The prices are on the spendy side, yes, but makes sense given the fact that these are mostly imported designer pieces straight from Tokyo. Even if you just pop in for the experience and chat with Mitsu, it's definitely worth a visit.
