I was attending a Shibori workshop and I needed a shirt. Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of creating patterns on fabric (kind of like tie-dyeing) although it uses special indigo ink. I needed to have a 100 percent cotton shirt, and I quite easily found several to choose from at Old Navy. I went with the more classic style. I also found an argyle sweater that I purchased. Surprisingly, these seemed pretty nice quality (I thought that Old Navy had cheaply made and cheaply priced merch) and cost more than I expected. The good news is that the Shibori-dyed Old Navy shirt turned out amazing! The artist at the workshop praised my work. What was not so amazing was the pressure the sales associate used to try to get me to open a credit card. I withstood their efforts. I also recently purchased some holiday-themed PJs for my entire family from Old Navy. read more

Selection: Over the years, and I mean back in the late 90s, Old Navy had a great selection of quality clothes for work. In the 2000-2010s, they reduced quality and the clothing was cheaply made and focused more on casual. I'd say in the last few years they have been getting their groove back. The sweater and winter selections are much better. I'm a little disappointed that there's no fleece pajama bottoms for women, it's a cheap fabric and I'm not going to buy it. Value: I think most prices are within a reasonable range. I do think $40 is a bit much for a kid sweater. Service: It's hit or miss at this location. It's typically 1 blonde lady at the register and even though there's 4-5 people waiting in line, other employees frequently just ignore it and walk by. It really pisses me off that there's little self-awareness when these situations happen. There's also little self-awareness or concern from the blonde lady to even call someone. On this occasion a younger lady did see and stepped up to assist, but there have been countless times I have had to speak loudly to get help. It's as if I have to be rude and ask for help in order to check out, I mean, if old navy doesn't want our money? I can just set it down and walk out. Anyway. Service today was just ok. I was introduced to Old Navy back in college. One of my best friends is a loyal shopper and my first experience with Old Navy was at their flagship State Street location in Chicago. She invited me to come along with her and I remembered having a pleasant experience. Since then, I've bought a ton of clothes from Old Navy over the years and I've always enjoyed their quality and pricing. Old Navy has some of the best deals on clothing. I usually buy my leggings there and if I had to peruse my closet, some of the clothes I've purchased from them (going on 5 years +) have stayed with me to this day. I like how they are a one stop shop selling clothes for the entire family. They even have stuff for your furry friends there too! The pricing, especially during sale season, can't be beat. My husband recently purchased a navy blue polka dot shirt at this location. I had to admit I liked the print and when he told me how much he paid for it, my jaw dropped. $8 for a short sleeved button down shirt was a score. read more

I really didn't ever shop at Old Navy until just this year and feel like I've been missing out on quality clothes for a reasonable price for a long time! I've liked every purchase I've made there and can confidently say everything I've bought at Old Navy has been a good value for what I paid and has lasted for me.  It is clean, organized, and they get a nice variety of things, often, with new shipments.   The staff is friendly, and their dressing rooms are pretty clean compared to other stores who have fitting rooms.  Even their bathrooms are ok here, which is usually a good sign as to how they care for their customers.  I've found some nice clothes and dresses here, and even some fun socks for my bf!  I have gone in the mornings and early afternoons, and it hasn't ever been busy...I have yet to try it on a weekend.  It's quiet, there's plenty of parking, and the staff is good. read more

Came here today to return some online buys....annnnnd got swept up on their thank you sale. Got lucky to beat the rush Saturday noon rush, and the return was done in a matter of seconds!!! Then swept through the store, and Shanitra let me know where the changing rooms were plus offered up that if you can't find your size, they will order for you and give you FREE shipping to your house. That's customer service! As it turned out they had some pants I liked--not pictured because I want them all for myself... She found them in another color online so I've got them shipping to my house for free, Yay! Changing rooms are free, check out clerks are friendly, and even though there's a big sale they kept the lines moving though. I'll definitely be back, online and in- store! read more

This is my go to Old Navy. I can always find inexpensive casual clothes (tops, jeans, shorts, skirts, and my daughter's beloved leggings!) here for my whole family. The clearance racks are fabulous! And this location has a much bigger and better selection than the store in Lincoln Town Center. There's usually a survey with the receipt where you complete it and get a coupon for an additional 10% off...and it never expires! Love the summer flip flop sale!! read more

I went to return some online items. Shopped around a bit. Went to pay, and as I approached the cashier line, a customer was heading out carrying a baby, not wearing a mask at all. The Good thing is that she was walking out but realized that she might have been shopping without a mask, and not anyone said anything to her, especially the Old Navy staff. If this lady was shopping without a mask, and employee staff did not say a thing to avoid confrontation, it means they are not following guidelines. It's not the customer's duty to confront those that refuse to wear the mask. Unfortunately, sometimes we run into this type of situation, and it won't be the last. No, I did not bring this to the attention of the manager or staff. I think if I noticed, they did too. I love shopping there, and the staff is friendly. My rating is based this time only on not following Covid guidelines and allowing unmasked customers to shop. I always feel guilty shopping here. Everything is so inexpensive that I personally think about where things were made, who made them, did they get paid enough, etc. That's why I try to mix things up...middle of the road ($$) clothes from other shops mixed in with with discounted ($) basics from stores like Old Navy. Shopping for twins really throws me for a loop financially, and it gets tricky finding the same sizes every single time. But, there is this one line of clothes that never seems to disappoint. Reminds me of Champion brand. I have no idea what it's called, but the threads are a bit nicer, quality seems better, and the best part of coming here the other day was the FLASH SALE! We were at The Children's Place (having little luck in the size department), and my hubby logged into his email and there was a flash sale notice that had just popped up on his phone. We headed over, picked up four pairs of pants, saved 40% and received a $10 off coupon for the next time around. One thing I noticed in the checkout line were these adorable fun gift items. They might be the same distributor that sells to World Market in their toy section, but fun toys like mini bowling sets and Mad Libs and kids books. They also carry refrigerated drinks (including Honest Juice) for thirsty kiddos while you shop. Don't forget to notice the super adorable canvas totes hanging along the divider wall. I wanted to buy one of each! Yeah, it's Old Navy and it's a chain, but that's where my life has been taking me lately in the fall shopping spree for my kiddos. Happy shopping! read more

The most horrid men's selection of clothes. Otherwise, if your shopping for your wife or kids, it's a must check out location. Huge store space and it's filled with so much and a ton of clearance for the above mentioned. Thankfully I've never encountered crazy shoppers here, but that's due to only shopping during off peak hours and dates. Ha. There's only one bad visit I've had here and that was with a gift card. The employee was a useless waste of time. We had no idea how much was on the card and the associate offered nil assistance with getting to that value. I guess Old Navy does not have an easy way to check the value, so it must be used towards the purchase of something to find out. I inquired as to whether he could charge us for something on the counter, unfortunately it was magenta colored nail polish, and then void it out, just to get the value. Fucking numb-nuts. He asked if we could go and finish our shopping and then tell us. Still, how do you know how much to spend? Ignoramus. I remember your name doctor, you are lucky I'm not writing to management. I buy so much less from Old Navy these days to care. Did I tell you their Men's area is awful.. You can count the number of styles of clothes on one hand. Bah! I haven't been to ON in years but saw an awesome deal online and purchased a bunch of cheap athletic wear. Old Navy shares its company with Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta (which makes athletic clothes) so for the price and money I saved I was super happy. The layout of the store changed! The cashier is now in the middle of the store (instead of the front) which gives it less of a fast fashion feel but more of an actual retail clothing store feel. The clothes are of decent but cheap quality. It's fast fashion that is produced by third world countries overseas in sweatshops. (I recommend the documentary The True Cost) which explores this industry. Although I primarily shop at actual athletic retailers for athletic wear that is more costly (and produced in "better" environments), it's hard to always justify paying $100 for a pair of compression or yoga leggings when you can get it for super cheap $25 at Old Navy. Especially when said leggings will wear out in a few months anyways from daily wear. The Old Navy athletic clothes that I have purchased are pretty affordable and a good value for the low prices. Service is okay but super slow. The sales associates are nice enough but this is fast fashion and they're not paid on commission or anything. 3 stars for affordable, fast fashion although I can't speak for the non-athletic clothing. read more

I never paid any mind to Old Navy, but I really found a ton of stuff today. At this store, you have Forever 21- or H&M-level prices without the absurd sensory overload...and none of the snaking lines and merchandise strewn every which way. OK, so I'm a huge Old Navy enthusiast. I'm am incredibly particular about 'basics' and their black Tami undershirts and jeans are a staple of my wardrobe. However, despite my love of their products, this store leaves much to be desired. Firstly, the place is a huge mess. I've attached a picture for reference. No one wants to by a shirt dirty off the floor. And by no one, I mean not me. Second, They don't have enough merchandise, even some items on mannequins aren't there! None of the items I wanted were in-store in my size. Third. the clearance racks aren't even sorted by size? That's pretty much Retail 101. Lastly, they are understaffed and untrained. The only people who seem to know anything are the managers. SAVING GRACE was a manager named Santos (well, I think that was his name...) He was the only person to greet me, the only person who could properly process my refund AND knew where all merchandise was in the store. So for him alone I gave this location a second star. Super Rude! Tried calling to ask about sizing to make a purchase for a curbside pick up. They were out of my size, so I was asking a follow up question to which she didn't even listen. Because she just said. "Yeah, we're out of that size, and just hung up on me!!" Plus they don't offer rain checks when they are out of 40% of the Jean sizes when they are running a sale! That's called Bait and switch! A very scammy way to do business. Dang, all I wanted was a flipping pair of jeans (or two)! I wish there was somewhere else that had good inexpensive jeans!! WOW- absolute rudest staff at ANY store I've ever encountered. I of course cannot comment on the entire staff but 3 different employees that I encountered had the worst attitudes I've ever experienced. EVER. Upon walking into the store, the sales associate who must have had a really hot date or something to that effect informed me that the store was about to close. When I verified that they closed at 9, she said, "YEAH- it's almost 9" with the most disgusted tone. I take responsibility for coming in 14 minutes before close on a Friday night. I get it, you girls have plans and are anxious to go get crazy, but I can't imagine that my purchase of 3 baby items and a tank top that took me all of 4 minutes to pick out is REALLY going to put a huge dent in your primping time. Over the past couple of years, they have started making better clothes and also finding ways to keep their cost low. I usually get my daily wear such as t-shirts and shorts from here. This store is always stocked and organized which makes shopping a breeze. I've always been part of a long line when it was time to pay, but they do move at a decent pace. They do have deep sales which helps with stocking up. They do have their clearance section as well where, if you have the patience, you can find great deals. As for kids clothes, I've often gotten clothes for my nieces from here. Cute designs at a great price! As for parking, there's a lot of that at this location. I just hope they don't move and become part of the mall! read more

This is a pretty large store that has a ton of variety and good customer service. Kristen is right, though, sometimes it takes a while to check out. They won't open more lanes, and there can be 2 or 3 cashiers with super long lines. The fitting room is huge and there is usually a very short wait, if any. Plenty of merchandise available. The store was relatively clean and tidy. But the checkout line was one of the layers of hell. I was fourth in line and it took 12 minutes. There were three cashiers checking and one woman passing out coupons to each register, interrupting the transactions that were being checked out to explain to the cashiers how the coupons were going to work. Seriously? How about pass those damn coupons out to your registers when the store is closed or slow, and run an actual check out when there's a line that's not moving quickly? There's an idea. Old Navy Skokie Blvd has the best staff!! Being COVID high risk, I can't enter any building but had returns to bring back. While they have curbside pickup as a standard service, that doesn't apply to returns. I was stuck. But the store manager made an exception for me. Awesome. I so appreciated her concern and action taken on my behalf. She reminded me that people are kind and we're all in this together. read more

I think it's ridiculous that since my son received jeans as a gift with no receipt I can't exchange them in the store. It's an in inconvenience to your customer and by the time I get the gift card by mail I'll probably end up having to pay more! Not cool at all. The line to check out is always horrific but hey they always have multiple cashiers so it's not like they aren't addressing the issue. I have shopped at many Old Navy's and really never had a complaint about any of them. The staff at this Old Navy was very helpful and extremely friendly. I enjoyed talking to the front cashier and was greeted very nicely and politely. I had a return and brought a couple items back the next day. I was helped by a different lady who was also very friendly and helpful. They have good customer service and made it a joy to shop there. read more

This store is NOT handicapped accessible, which is surprising, given that it seems to be fairly new construction. The doors may technically be wide enough for a wheelchair, but anyone who is in a wheelchair and who is alone will not be able to enter. The doors are not automatic, and are really, really HEAVY. Such a disappointment from a national chain. I'm a mom who needs to spend $$$ on clothes for my family, but since I can't get in here, I go a few doors down to Marshall's, which is happy to accommodate my chair so that they can get my money. read more

I buy my two year old clothes here. Always easy to find, with a helpful staff. I would have given at least four stars. But last time I was in the store at the registers the cashier (I think her name was maral) kept making comments about how my son doesn't look like me and asked me two or three times if he was mine. It was extremely uncomfortable. She wouldn't stop talking about how he looked nothing like me (he is half Filipino, her exact words were "but he's Asian?"). It was really weird and off putting. There was a sale for up to 50% off on select shirts. When I brought my three shirts up to the register (two were 50% off according to the sign and one had a reduced orange tag that said $5.49), I noticed that the prices were a little high. Specifically, I pointed out that the tag on one of the shirts said $5.49 and I was being charged $13.55. The girl told me that the discount was only 20%. I showed her the tag, and she insisted that the computer was right. I told her that I didn't want the shirt then, and that she might want to fix the tag to reflect the correct price. Later, I looked at my receipt for the other two shirts, and noticed that instead of the 50% off on the rack I only got a 40% and 30% discount. Never going back to this store again if this is the kind of unethical bait-and-switch stuff they pull on a regular basis. First and LAST time I go here. Management and some of the older staff are not friendly. They treat everyone with suspicion -- even frequent and loyal customers. However, the younger staff are great. They strictly enforce the new 45 day return policy - which is fine - but other area Old Navy stores are much better at understanding if you came just one day later than 45 days. Not this store. They accept return merchandise like shoes that has obviously been worn with dirt on the soles and put them back on the shelves. But bring in something with an obvious manufacturing defect that's over 45 days and they won't even consider replacing it. Old Navy has great, fashionable clothing at good prices but go to a different store for a more enjoyable experience when interacting with management and staff. And, look over everything you buy really well before the 45 days to return expires. read more

Arrived to this location right when the store opened. The store is a complete mess. Clothes and shoes were all over the place. Racks were a mess. It doesn't look like a manager exists at this store. Went to buy a pair of pants for my son...a sign clearly read, "Boy Tops and Pants $4". We went to pay and they rang up a different price. I mentioned the sign and she says, "No. They're not on sale. Show me." Since it's apparently my job to show her, I walked her back to the kids section. She sees the sign that is clearly above some polo shirts and the pants I was trying to buy, and says, "no." Ok...no other pants are in sight. Didn't end up buying the pants. Store is a mess, people are rude. Terrible experience. read more

It is a very clean store. And I found the employees that were working on the floor to be very helpful and friendly. However when I went to the checkout it was a different story. The lady that was checking me out was quite rude. Not really explaining things to me. I was returning something and then purchasing something. First of all I did not know that you don't get your store credit right away but it gets mailed to you so you can't even use it. That really ticks me off. I don't know if that's just the store's policy or if that's policy across the board. But it sucks regardless I was over by the return date buy 3 days. And I have the original receipt. They only give you 45 days to return an item. Again I think this is ridiculous. The lady at the checkout was quite rude English was good but she had a very strong accent so it was hard to understand her. When I asked her to repeat herself to me she continue to roll her eyes at me. I ended up just wanting to leave. I will not be returning to the store. read more

Every time I go to this store I leave thinking, "Well, that was a huge mistake." I get that it's a cheap store selling junk made in sweatshops, and it's not like I'm expecting high end service but my god.... there is literally NEVER a time that I go there that I don't end up waiting at least 20 minutes to buy whatever crap t shirts for my kids I need that day or whatever. ALWAYS a huge line to check out. ALWAYS. Today when I finally got to the front of the line (with 2 little kids in tow....) and there were still more than 20 customers behind us with only 2 checkers working, I said to the woman "I know it's not your fault, but there should really be more than 2 people working the registers if there's this many people waiting." and she just glared at me and didn't even respond. The whole place sucks and is pure aggravation. If you want to buy this crap, buy it online. Whoever is running this joint should be embarrassed.
