Is walked in to buy a bunch of clothes . I walked in without any cash in hand. Upon checking out -…read moreI was told $30 cash was available and I opted to put some on my clothes. I had $9.00 left and was told to return on Sunday. She handed me a $30 kohls cash. I went back and went to Sephora so I can spend kohls cash if $9.00 & my new Kohls cash of $30.00 for buying a bunch of clothes. The girl called manager Ben over and he kept insisting I must have changed something or returned clothes and REFUSED my kohls cash of $30. At no time during my encounter didn't manager try to look anything up - just stood there shaking his head saying "You must have returned an item- Where is your receipt for all the clothes you bought the other day" - So now I have to hold a receipt in hand to prove I spent money in Kohls. He argued back with me - no offer of anything -- basically cold and stood his ground as if I was lying and I even said - "why are you treating me in this manner? I'm not lying" Again - totally refused to do anything else and was not professional and condemning "HAVE A NICE DAY" UNPROFESSIONAL JERK- I called & sent in a formal complaint - no phone calls this so far..... no calls .... The Sephora Store worker was sweet and nice but had no clue on products I wanted. She has no idea what the texture spray is from Wow -- and I also wanted a facial cream and she wound up giving me a product was very very expensive without giving me a price. Many other stores have better quality goods. Don't let people talk to You like you're garbage.

You must go the back of the store where hundreds of pickup orders are wily-nilly in bins. They are also the Amazon location for returns. This, you can plan on a very long and aggravating wait.

Each visit whether online or at the actual store is like an escape to vacation from vacationland! This past holiday season, I received a treasure trove of gifts from this store and gave them to loved ones. Service, selection, value. All of the gifts were warmly accepted as expressed! Thank you, Julie & the MCB team for being a standout! MexiCali Blues is totally the underground "Feminica" headquarters!!!

I am a big fan of Mexicali Blues and have enjoyed visiting several of their locations. Today I was…read morein the Bangor store conveniently located on Bangor Alley close to others shops, restaurants, and children museum. Decorated nicely on the outside and colors and textures galore inside. I viewed their shop on line and found a pair of pants that look like a dress purchased from them last year. So that was my target. The other thing I needed was a top to match the navy blue with periwinkle feather pattern on them. The navy is a deep color and hard to match. I finally gave in and asked assistance. The woman was around my age and knowledgeable about what pants I was referring too. She walked through the store with me looking for possible options. I found a nice tank combined with a navy blue shawl type piece that when together give you the color I was looking for. No time to try items on so off we went before I spent any more money. In for one thing and walked about with 4! Got a cut Bee tank for my sister too. Even if you aren't in the place to shop, just walking around their stores in interesting and the staff are happy to help.

Only Hot Topic I've ever been to, but I must say I am extremely impressed. I'm an 80's lover so…read morethis is a good store for me. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They always are asking if they can help you and if they don't ask when you do need help, just ask them and they always seem delighted to help. I've been in this store multiple times and I can assure you you'll have a good Hot Topic experience in this particular store.

Awful. Awful. Awful. This staff - particularly those in management - need to reassess what good…read morecustomer service is. Historically, I haven't had a problem there. In fact, up until recently, the staff has always been kind and helpful. Now, all they do is sit at the cash registers and talk instead of service the customers in their store. Mind you, half the time their "talking" is really making fun of customers in the store. There have been several reports of associates (and believe it or not- managers) being rude to customers. Hot Topic used to be an accepting place where anybody could feel welcome. In recent times, however, they have been caught profiling on a frequent basis (ex: being nice to a customer with piercings and dyed hair, being openly rude to somebody wearing pink, etc.) They have been caught by multiple people calling customers names. The manager, Jeff, is the worst of all. His employees clearly follow his lead. As somebody who works in retail and uses customer service practices everyday, I found this business appalling. Also, as somebody who used to shop frequently at Hot Topic, I am very disappointed that I will no longer be shopping there due to their unbearably rude staff. I will be saving my Hot Topic trips for when I visit the Maine Mall, or I will be shopping online... if anything at all. I feel like a company who would put such rude, incompetent, and unfriendly people in management is not the type of company I would like to be giving my money to. In recent years, I have had several friends and acquaintances who have also ceased shopping at the Bangor Mall Hot Topic for the same reasons. Such a shame. In this economy, especially in such a small area in the middle of Maine, nobody can afford to lose valuable customers.

JCPenney - Up to 5% off when you use your JCPenney credit card. The rate never even changes when you spend more. Why would they bother printing this?

Ordered (prepaid) in something out of stock, it arrived to the store and was the sold to someone else. Double sale. The prepaid special order section is separate from the rest, item,s arrived bagged/tagged and hold for the purchaser. How this happened is beyond mine. The manager of the section said oops well it is gone now. I can order another, be into the store in 4-5 weeks. I drove a 3 hour round trip to pick this up. Needless to say, it was frustrating and I make no special trips or attempts to shop here an longer due to this and how many times you have to circle the store to find someone to help with the floor stock.

My partner and I go to the Bangor Mall sometimes, not just to gawk at which storefronts have just…read moreclosed, but sometimes because we actually need clothes and for some reason we think that there's a retail establishment in Bangor that carries clothing that is appropriate for someone under 60 and actually fits us. Wild, right? The clothing carried at JCPenney seems more like something my grandmother would wear- shorts with a 9 inch inseam, dresses that look like giant bags, and lots of T-shirts with patriotic and otherwise vapid slogans that someone's older relatives might wear on vacation in Cancun or more likely when dropping a bundle at the casino downtown. Nevertheless, we generally go on a pass through here to see if there is anything that could possibly work for us, because pickings in Bangor are SLIM. Last night, we came through (I swear we were the only customers in the store!) and were greeted by a blonde woman at one of the desks as we were walking by. She asked us if we needed help (we let her know kindly that we didn't), but then, as we were already walking away, she started shouting at us asking if we had signed up for a JCPenney card. And she wouldn't take no for an answer! We both remarked to each other when we were out of earshot what a creepy interaction that had been. We rounded the store and for some reason (I don't know why) started checking out bras to see if there was anything that would fit me. In my band size, there was nothing smaller than a D cup (I'm an A), and a lot of the underwear looked again like something that your grand- or great-grandparents would wear. I am so tired of not being able to get women's shoes that fit me, or bras that fit me, or jeans that fit me at businesses in town. I am so tired of being told (as I have by associates here in the past) that I can "order it on JCPenney dot com" because apparently my sizing is too out-there to carry in stores. If I'm coming into a store, I want to buy some clothes and wear them today. I want to feel how the quality is and see how they fit my body. If I am going to order clothes online, I'm not going to get them from JCPenney dot com- I'm going to get them on Amazon. The products that JCPenney carries tell me that they don't think that people like me or my partner should exist. Why should we give them our money? I'm just waiting at this point to see whether JCPenney or the Bangor Mall folds first. It's like this store doesn't even want to stay in business.
