Having a Family Dollar in the neighborhood can be convenient, though I don't do my regular grocery…read moreshopping there with a supermarket in town. But for non-grocery items and even food in some cases (a box of pasta was less here than in a supermarket as long as you aren't stuck on brand names), it makes sense to keep this Family Dollar/Dollar Tree in mind. I recently needed to find a birthday gift bag, tissue paper, ribbon and birthday card, and they had a fair selection and I matched the colors of all the items. Where else could you buy stockings, reading glasses, a storage crate, ice cream and craft supplies in one visit without wandering endlessly around a huge store? So far staff persons have been friendly and the wait times negligible. Obviously some things can't be found here, but it can be a nice alternative for a quick spot of shopping.

I was surprised by this store. Store was well stocked and mostly clean. The best thing though…read morewas the staff. One was kind and served the people in front of us, who were a hot mess. Forgot wallet. Forgot item in an aisle. Needs to use two cards. Then a second order and kind of the same things. But the cashier was kind and gracious and didn't rush them or make a fuss. It was so nice to see. Another person came up and helped us. We needed balloons. Usually stores are super rude and hate doing this. They were super nice. Just kept plugging along and kindly placed items on the counter rather than throwing them back at us as the wrong the items through. Overall a great experience. A couple of irritating things thus not 5 stars but why waste space with negatives-the ladies who worked in the store were nice so I will be too.

I've only visited several times, and of those visits, I found the staff to be helpful and friendly…read more and, my last visit, on 7/24/21 I found Ashley, to be very helpful, appeasing, and humorous with the customers and me. The only suggestion I have is at the checkout, to scan each item separately, please. 7 pairs of gloves were rung up because only one pair of gloves was used for the 6 that was on the check out- there seemed to be difficulty ringing in so the one pair of gloves used to scan the 6 was scanned several times running up an extra pair that I paid for but did not have on the checkout counter. If each pair of gloves were scanned separately, I'm sure I would have been charged for only 6 pairs that I intended to purchase, not the 7 that were scanned in. We have all seen this technique used when we purchase an article of multi-numbers. The clerk takes only one item of the multi-items and scans it in for the number she sees on the counter, This technique caused an extra an item that I was changed for when it came to the gloves. Other than that, the clerk was cheerful, fun, and my experience was enjoyable. Only one point off for the troubled scanning. And, it was my mistake not to speak up, because, I thought I only got 6 pairs of gloves not the 7 runged up, so I'm taking some of the blame as well.
