A kid in a candy store is overwhelmed and then over-stimulated and will probably cry. I would rather be thrown back into that oubliette. The staff here is helpful and friendly and seemingly unperturbed by the constant barrage of questions from a six and four-year-old. They have tiny shopping carts that they wandered the store with as they examined everything. I'm happy for you, dear reader, that they were touching things that were in sealed containers. They picked, and picked, and picked until they found the candy that was perfect for them and picked a candy for their sister who didn't come along. They were so surprised when they actually had to give it to them. There is a selection of candy from all over the world and usually seasonal findings. They also offer a wide selection of sugary drinks to go with your sugary solids. My favorite? The quarter machines where the boys got toys they didn't need and some Smarties to eat on the way home (since I didn't let them open the candy they got at the store).
