Directly on the side of the road you'll see a plaque for this cemetery which dates from the 1840s. It is a small cemetery of some family plots and randomly placed markers. Some of the headstones have been repaired and some still lie on the ground. As the plaque says, these graves belong to many of the early pioneers, of whom many died young. Many of these headstones belong to people in their 20s. The cemetery is probably just slightly larger than an acre and there are unmarked graves located here. The unmarked graves are marked with simple white crosses. If you're interested in local history, this is a point of interest. read more
