Crazy how ALL of the 1 star review echos the same issue: ROBERT D. Is a fraud who takes your money but won't deliver your products and never calls, emails, texts back to remedy the issue! It's absolutely criminal to be out close to $4000 and 2 months later still with NO ETA and his refusal to refund the money after he failed to deliver the products. Not sure how this business is even still in operation. I feel bad for the people who have yet to experience what we have and I know with 100% certainty that those customers will ultimately engaging in unsatisfying results with no recourse whatsoever. We bought 59 boxes of flooring after Robert informed us that they are in stock. We arranged for a rental truck and our handyman to pick up after Robert told us they are available. Our handyman informed us only 4 out of the 59 boxes were the ones we ordered with the rest as wrong! We called Robert right away and he said the warehouse made a mistake and he will call us back. He never did to this day and it'll been over 2 months. I continued to call and text him with absolutely no response and eventually came to his store only to have him be missing. His brother told us that Robert would call us when he returns and guess what, he never did. Then his brother called the supplier and told us to come back on March 15th. Well it's March 15th, 2024 today and guess what! Neither Robert nor my order is here. Once again, we are in the position to WAIT. I demanded for a return of my check which he cashed right away when we gave it to him back in January. He told me to come back next week and I told him that I don't trust that he will give me the money. He just hung up on me. They are criminals! Do NOT waste your money and time here!!! read more

This is a small business run by 2 brothers in San Jose. I got to meet them both when I went into the store because Pete and Roberto are both hands on in their business, however I've been working with Roberto. I'm redoing my house with LVT floors and after shopping around Roberto gave me a thicker tile / higher quality material and even beat the price of my cheapest set of material I was looking at. Seriously, he is a really cool dude. He's willing to work with you to find exactly what you want, show you similar alternatives you might not have seen someplace else, and get it to you at a great price. They're only using high quality materials in their store so none of the cheap imported Chinese stuff. The customer service is great. Where to start.... We trying to find a vendor that sold Urban Flooing and that could get us the product in a rush because we had contractors coming to install hard wood flooring throughout the house. We knew exactly what flooring product we wanted and we out to find someone that could get us the product quickly and and a good price. This is where the lies begin. Roberto told us he had a warehouse and he could get us the product in 1 business day. This warehouse turned out to be Urban Floors distribution facility down in SoCal so we could only get the product as fast as they could ship it up here. All is fine and well for the flooring product. All of it came in boxes with Urban Flooring trademarks. As the contractors started installing the floor, they informed us that for the stairs we needed special flooring product called "Stair Nose". Back to Roberto we went and again negotiated a decent price. This time the product came just wrapped in cellophane bundled together, odd since wood on wood contact might cause scratches but I didn't make much of it. We also had to place another order for more wood flooring because our original estimate didn't account for the stair planks as well so back to Roberto we went to place another order will some additional items: Reducers (wood pieces transitioning the wood flooring to tile). All the stuff we were ordering was Urban Flooring product since we needed everything to match. Reducers came but in different lengths and wrapped in cellophane. Odd? Why would Urban Floor sell different length pieces for the reducers and why does it have a strong stain smell. The stair nose also had a strong stain smell. None of the product that came in Urban Floor boxes had a stain smell what so ever. Our contractor took the reducers and tried to install them but from the shape and design, it didn't work. Roberto took back all the pieces and tried to fix them...Weird, why wouldn't he just get Urban Floor to just send out a new batch? The reducers came back cut and trimmed but still didn't work and we went to the store to return them no problem but now I'm concerned with what I have. I'm pretty confident the floor product is genuine but the stair nose, I'm not so confident anymore. As we were there returning the product I noticed our invoice had the correct model number recorded for the flooring product but the stair nose and reducers did not. (Urban Floor sells all that stuff and have model numbers for all parts.) A month passes, and I start to notice nicks and marks on the stair nose. I try my best to patch them up with touch up stain but it doesn't work. We had a mattress delivered and after the delivery guys left, I noticed big pieces of stain missing from the stair nose. Upon further inspections and cleaning, I was able to easily remove the stain from the stair nose. I'm not expect but staining to be means that it penetrates the wood unlike paint which just is a coating on top. The stain felt like it was paint and it also was missing a crucial piece, VARNISH to protect the stain from ordinary wear and tear. We go to Roberto's store to complain and he has some "STAIN GUY" come take a look at the stair nose at our house. From the conversation I had with him he says he can fix it by re-staining the stair nose and will put a protective coat on it as well. Scheduled fix was to be a week later. On the agreed date, no one shows up and no call. Mind you I'm taking time off from work for them to come on the weekday to come fix this. We reschedule and again the same thing...no show. Getting a little annoyed and pissed we re-schedule one more time. Again no show so this time I give Roberto a call and he says, "I don't know when he will be there, he's not picking up his phone". He also says to me that when the guy came to examine the damage, he told Roberto that it was probably due to the installer not being careful and that's why there is damage. 1. I get blown off with no legit reason as to no show. 2. I finally get a hold of someone (Roberto) and now he says that it's not his fault. 3. He informs me that any fix will be a charge because its not his fault. Lets back up a second here, first off I ordered Urban Floor product through and through. I didn't even complain about that, I just wanted a fixed for the stain on the stair nose. Now he says he's going to charge me to fix fake product that he sold me. Okay....fine, I told him he can have is fake product back and he can give me Urban Floor product since he doesn't want to fix the problem. His response and I quote (mind you everything is installed already), "You need to give me back all my stair nose and I'm going to charge you full price for the Urban Floor product!" Wow, people save yourself time, headache and MONEY. It is not worth taking a risk here despite what the other reviews say. I've filed a Better Business Bureau report just to have something on file. I bought hardwood floors from this store. The price was fair compared with other places. BUT, read the following before you make any decision: 1. They told me they can get the hardwood floors the next day. So I scheduled the installation to be 5 days later to allow some time for acclimatization. However, on the day of installation, I was told the floors were still on the way. So they installed the floors without any acclimatization. 2. I ordered both floors and the installation from this store. We agreed on a total price and paid for the floors on the day we purchased them. The owner asked us to pay the rest for the installation when they finish it . The installation was done by the owner's brother. When the installation guy came, he was not satisfied with the price and asked for more. We then realized that they were two separate companies. The guy selling the floors promised us many things, including installing baseboard, dump the old carpet, etc. But his brother was not willing to offer us these unless we pay him more. After calling his brother and some negotiations, he finally agreed to keep the price. We asked him to pick up the baseboards from home depot for us, and tipped him well, because we wanted him to be happy and do a nice job. 3. The floor itself was installed well, so far I can tell. However, they left many unfinished parts. For example, they did not fill the gap between the baseboard and the wall with caulk. They took the doors off and did not put them back. They remove the guides for the closet doors and did not put them back, leaving the doors hanging there. They installed new carpet on the stairs . And today, I found hundreds of nails on the stairs with the sharp points up!! They were along the inside edge of the stairs, so you only notice them when you step deep enough on the stairs. Imagine how much it hurts! I spent an hour and hit all the nails back. There were many of them! If you decide to purchase floors from this store, that's OK. Installation? NO.. read more

Just purchased a new house and came across Old Floors on yelp. I purchased 10k in hardwood with this company. Roberto who is the owner, told me it would be at his store in 3 working days. It ended up arriving in 10 plus working days. Those days make a difference when you have contractors working in the home. He never called to update me It was always me calling. Now my installer is telling me we are short on the hardwood. We counted 72 boxes, the store verified 78 boxes. Since the order was over a month ago I can't argue with the count. I asked Roberto to help me out with the price of 6 more boxes since I am a good customer and because of the customer service issues I had with them. He said that he is sorry and can't help me. This place was a blessing. I was in the market for laminate floors for the place I am renting. The landlord was very picky about what she wanted even though i was footing the bill. I was installing myself and on a VERY tight budget. Roberto was handing out fliers for his business and stopping and talking to him was the smartest thing I have done in a long time. I followed him back to his showroom and I was pleasantly surprised. He had a great selection, he listened to my needs and found me a beautiful inexpensive laminate that met my needs. He even delivered the floors right to my house and even helped me dispose of the nasty old 70s shag carpet that I was replacing even though I was only able to afford to buy material from him and installing myself with the help of friends. I will be going back and when I have a place of my own I will be using Roberto and his guys to make the place beautiful. Absolutely in love with my hard wood floors. My family and I just moved into a new home that had existing hard wood floors on the first floor. But there was carpeting on the second floor that I wanted to be changed to hardwood. I shopped around and between three different quotes I received, Old Floors was the least expensive!!!!!! Despite the competitive price, the level of professionalism and quality of work was excellent!!!!!! Robert and Pete were so helpful and responsive throughout the whole process, from choosing the wood, to the design plan, to the completion of the job and adding the finishing touches. Carlos completed the job and it came out beautiful and was done quicker than I had expected. For 17 stairs and about 1,200 ft square second floor, the job was completed in 4 days. There were some finishing touches that I had asked for at the end and Robert sent someone in right away to address it and at no charge. They are an absolutely amazing team at Old Floors. Please DO NOT work with Old Floors Inc. We have had a very bad experience so far. I wish I could give zero rating for Old Floors. They are smooth talkers but money sharks. We have worked with several stores but we have never come across any store that has such a lousy level of customer service or policy. We canceled our laminate floor order within 1 business day even before the product got delivered to their store. Instead, they cashed our check of $5,223.44 within 2 business days; that was after we requested cancellation of order so that we will not get our money back easily back. More background: Sat, Nov 18, 2017: We placed an order for laminate floors (Longust Legante Brand) from Old Floors. We paid by check immediately. Sales manager was Cody. Sunday Nov 19, 2017: Just a day later on Sunday night, after checking the laminate floor on the vendor website, we realized that the flooring sample provided by the store is not a true representation. We decided to cancel this order and I texted immediately on Nov 19 night itself to Cody that order needs to be canceled. The Sales person said that for order cancellation, we would need to pay Restocking Fee of 25%. Monday Nov 20, 2017: In the morning, the Sales person said he's working with his Store Owner to resolve this matter so that we can get 75% of our cash back for the laminate floor. He said the process is complicated for returns and he will get back to us. We spoke briefly with Robert, and he kept repeating "No Returns, No Refund" policy without really understanding that Old Floors is at fault. He said he can't help. Tuesday Nov 21, 2017: In the morning, the Cody informed us that all sales are final and there are no returns. He said that this statement is also mentioned in the receipt and that the Store Owner doesn't want to refund 75% of the money for laminate floor. I reminded Cody that the material is not yet delivered, not picked up or used and therefore, the "no returns" policy does not apply and they should help us cancel this order. We asked for cancellation within 1 business day. Plus, there is no statement on the receipt saying that we cannot cancel the order before delivery. I tried to reason with Cody saying that we will give 25% of the total amount for restocking and they should return 75% of the amount to us. But they are not willing to do that, and they have already got the money through our check. We asked if we can talk with the Owner but that request was denied. We asked for a "Pergo" brand of flooring that we could buy from them using the store credit, but they said they don't carry that brand. They offered us store credit for 75% of the amount paid for laminate floor. Dealing for such a small issue with Old Floors itself has taken so much time and effort and therefore, we didn't accept the store credit. read more

I found the Old Floors company based on a Craigslist ad. I was looking for laminate flooring material for my rental property. Upon meeting Roberto he provided me with a lot of information about different types of products and brands. He also committed to giving me a great price. Stay away. I bought floors from them in April 2018. I bought the Everbright brand flooring from them. Once you have finished the purchase these guys don't care. Roberto has been helping me with my older and he is the most money minded businessman. Once the transaction is over they just don't care. A few weeks ago I called them to order a matching trim( wood to tile transition) he took my credit card details, charged me for it and never returned any call to inform that the material was out of stock. I ordered all my flooring for our new construction house from Robert. This included about 1500 sq of solid Maple 5" hardwood, about 400 sq ft of laminate and 2000 sq ft of carpet. I did spend a lot of time looking at most places for the color of hardwood floors and Robert managed to get the one that matched what we had in mind and that contrasted with our cabinets. All material arrived on time and it was installed when we wanted it in the time frame that was expected. They gave a very good deal on the installation too. Ordered flooring from these guys and they were a week late in delivery. Nice looking product at a good price, but horrible customer service. They didn't call to let us know it was going to be late. Whenever we would call they would give us the run-around. Did not call us back when they said they would. Had to visit them twice in person to find out the status of our order. We were short on material so we had to make a new order for 1 box of flooring. Two days late on delivery and counting with no accurate estimate of when the order is going to arrive. read more
