Service is always a crapshoot. Our last waitress poured water on our appetizer and did not even offer to replace it. I appreciate friendly customer service, but she came by every five minutes asking how things were going and if we needed anything more. Less than five minutes after we received our entrées, she came back and asked if we were ready for dessert. She seemed a little out of focus. The food is often times mediocre. This was our second attempt at going to this location, it will likely be our last. We ordered pizza to go. Service was slow despite it being 4 in the afternoon and not many people there. The restaurant is clean though, and there was a nice outdoor patio area. Our complaint was the food. One pizza was okay, but the other was inedible. It was way over cooked which made it hard and had no flavor other than a burnt taste. Unfortunately when you spend almost $30 on a pizza you expect a lot more. Totally disappointed. It was bad from the get go. Our server asked how many were in our party. Then proceeded to walk away. Unbeknownst to us we were supposed to follow her. Okay. Maybe she's lacking in personality. We sit down and our table and the floors are completely sticky. It was so gross. My feet and my elbows were stuck. Ick. Then our waiter hovered over us like a crypt keeper. We had told him three times that we're not ready to order yet. Instead of going away, he stood there and stared at us. Way to weird for my liking. We then proceeded to order pretzel bites. We receive them in there just balled up pizza dough. Not even the good pizza dough it was like the healthy dough. No dipping sauce. My first experience wasn't the best. This is common for restaurants who open on the first day. Since then I have gone back twice and I have never been more happier. The restaurant is making strides in the right direction. Service has improved greatly - food and beverages are delivered in a much more timely manner than they were in the past and the staff is much more friendly. I have been an Old Cs customer and fan for at least 15 years and this location was, by a HUGE margin, the worst experience I have ever had. It ranks up there with one of the top 10 worst in my restaurant experiences ever. Understandably it's a brand new location and extremely busy with the lack of any decent restaurants in the area but they are missing some very basic things. Staffing- hire more!! I know of great people out there looking for work. Our wait time was incredibly long and our waiter never checked in with us. Food- it took almost 30 min to get our nachos and I was confident they were probably back there waiting for someone to bring them to us. When we did finally receive them they were cold and cheese not melted through. Waiter was great about dealing with it and brought us another one but that one was burnt on top and cheese under still not melted. Pizza was without cheese in most areas and without sauce in others. Ok I think you get the picture! I am writing all of this to hopefully spark change as I will continue to be a loyal customer in hopes that I will get the level of service I get at the other locations after they work out the kinks! read more

This place leaves a lot to be desired. The location in Thornton is a lot better and friendlier. We came in as a big group so I get it helping a large group sucks. We ordered water and sodas first. Our waitress was changed on us which we thought was weird since she was still there working. We got a new waitress who didn't seem to know her job very well. When our food came they messed up two orders. They apologized for one and fixed it by giving her the order to go which sucked because she didn't get to eat with us. The other one they didn't. They didn't put the broccoli in the Mac and cheese and they charged her for it when she asked for it as a substitute for something else that was in the Mac and cheese. They charged her for a side of broccoli. We also didn't get straws until we asked twice. When we asked for to go boxes she forget the lids and brought us no pens. We also had borrowed a side table for some stuff. It wasn't being used by anyone (they originally said it was okay to use it) and they rudely took it away from us. We wanted to use it so we didn't have stuff on the floor tripping people since they were gifts we brought for a special occasion. We had made sure they knew we were coming in ahead of time as well so they could've said they couldn't help us but instead said they would and then made us feel like crap afterwards. After we paid, three waitresses were watching us from the little computer section waiting for us to leave. We even saw that as we got up and left they jumped in to clear the area and bring other guests in. We didn't stay very long so it made us uncomfortable and made us feel unwanted as guests. We won't come back to this location and will support Chili's and Red Robin instead for our company get togethers. ***I just wanted to add that the waitress did add to her tip on one of our cards. Thankfully it was caught it and she called her bank. If she didn't like her tip she should have thought about how she treated her guests. read more

Well where do we start. So we decided to wait 2 months after they open so they can work out the kinks and so that the crowd can die down. We go on a Monday night around 10:30. We have a party for 6. Walk in and we're told "25 minute wait because we are understaffed." Mind you the restaurant is 70% empty. So we wait about 15 mins and instead of just sitting us down and at least getting us drinks the 2 hostesses say, with no care, "now it's a 45 min wait so you guys will have to wait probably 30 more minutes!". There were two girls up at the host stand and one literally sat down on the floor and said she was going to take a nap. Needless to say, we left after waiting 20 minutes to Buffalo Wild Wings were we were seated immediately. read more

This location has been open for almost 2 months at this point and things are getting better in the speed of service and comfort level of the staff. Almost every single person working in this location is new to the brand, so there is bound to be a learning curve as the work out the issues of a new restaurant and a new concept layout for the brand. Every time I have been in, the staff has been nothing but friendly, and can be seen trying to do their best to put on a smile and deal with the long wait for a table and a wait for the food and each time we have been in, we have seen improvement in the timing. The kitchen staff seems to be getting their groove in place and that is definitely showing. Tonight they opened the patio bar seating, what a fun location to sit and enjoy a few beers on the patio and make some new friends. We continue to support this new location and look past the small things that may be going awry, we go to have a fun, relaxing time and not worry too much about how long we wait, it's just more time to chill and hang out with my hubby and our friends. read more

An inexperienced kitchen staff makes for a dining experience that doesn't stand out except for its flaws. They don't seem to handle special requests well, and some basic cooking techniques are handled in inexpertly. My companion requested an item on the side of our appetizer but instead it was scattered all over the dish. Likewise, she requested no onions on her entrée but they were spread throughout it. My burger itself was cooked well, but on the menu it said it came with caramelized onions and instead what I got was barely warmed sautéed onions instead-they were good and worked with the burger, but clearly they'd been cooked too quickly under too cool a temperature. The food is okay at best, and in such a competitive industry, okay isn't likely to garner repeat business from discriminating consumers. read more

Had the opportunity to return to this Brighton Location of Old Chicago. After replying to Miranda B.'s comment from Customer Service, we decided to try it again. This time the Customer Service was much better. Of course they knew we were coming and catered to us but still a much needed Customer Service improvement. Our little toddler's were served fairly quickly, which was very relieving so as not to have the stress of them crying for food. We also were served quickly and many servers, including the manager, addressed our table. We had the Pretzel Artichoke appetizer, kids had the fried Mac'n Cheese Appetizer Bites, Pizza for dinner, and they even gave us dessert. Now the reason this rating is a 4 instead of a 5 is first, they were expecting us, and second the flavor and quality of food could be better. So we will visit here again on another day. The improvements on the food are mainly to do with flavor; the pizza again could use more Sauce so it is not as dry. (I forgot to ask them to add more, since I remember this same issue last time. But I will ask them to add more next time we come in.) The Mac'n Cheese Appetizer Bites stated there was Bacon in them? But tasted very bland with No Bacon as if it were just fried Mac'n Cheese with no Seasoning. The dessert was the Cookie. One could pass on that since it was overcooked and the ice cream that came with it tasted generic store bought. (We have had better true Vanilla Bean Ice Cream at most other restaurants.) But the Pretzel was Seasoned well and Artichoke Cheese dip was pretty delicious. Reviewers! We decided to order take out from Old Chicago today, since we thought it would be chaos dining in. It was a bit crazy in there when I went to pick up. It's one of the smaller restaurants but it is shined beautiful and new. I like that it's an open plan. This will be a great place to go to and catch some deports game or go meet up with friends for a drink. The staff was super friendly and polite. You can tell that they were talking to each other and doing their best. The only reason why I took a star off was because they said our take out order would be ready in 25 minutes. It took almost an hour. BUT I showed up 10 min late and I also understand that as a DAY one of being open, people are still working on trying to get food and service done in a timely manner. There's going to be growing pains. The manager was super nice and gave me some coupons to knock some money off for the next time we come back. We'll def be back. If you go- just be patient. Do not, I repeat, do not eat the Chicken sandwich. I had it yesterday evening and all I can say is, it's not chicken. It looked like chicken but it was just horrible. Horrible Service - Not kid Friendly Server placed knifes on the table right in front of my 18 month old son and just walked away. Then another server brought the pizza and sat it right behind my son and walked away... Its so hot they use tools to grab the pan but it must be ok for my son to touch SMH. 3 different servers waited on us but yet couldn't get a drink refill for 10+ min. My husband, who is always exceedingly kind to restaurant staff, simply asked the hostess how long the wait would be for a party of 5. The hostess rudely said, "we don't serve parties of 5."
