Worst bar on the planet! Find another bar to go to, the bouncers are rude and unprofessional, they act like bullies. The bar smells like body odor and shit, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The music is horrible, there's no space to move around. The bathrooms are extremely filthy most of the times, creepers make 80% of the crowd. I can say OB is the worst place in the universe. This is the largest bar in Fargo. There are three sections: Drunken ShitShow Dance Party, Rowdy College Bar, & Chill Drunk Blackjack. They had some specials even though it was a friday night so that was a nice surprise. This seems like the place to go at the end of a night of many many cocktails to get a bit reckless. read more

When entering the Old Broadway restaurant we were a little hesitant with how dark the lighting was, but thankfully we decided to chance it! The waitress we got was attentive, friendly and helpful. We ordered the onion rings which overall I'd give a B+. They were flavorful, but not knock my socks off. My wife and I ordered the Cajun Burger and she got sweet potato fries while I got regular fries. We'd give the burger an A+! It was delicious!!! The fries were both great as well!! After 10 PM on the weekend it becomes your typical college bar a "dance floor". Its kind of odd to have a dance floor completely closed off with one entrance and TVs where you can watch the grindfest. Drink prices are comparable to most bars in the area. read more

Used to be a great place to get a bite, but last night we had one of the worst experiences at a restaurant. First off they have changed their menu and have less options to choose from. Most of their prices seem to have gone up (which is fine, if the food quality is there too, but it's not). I do know our server was fairly new, but clearly had too many tables to serve and the manager did not seem to be helping. At one point we had waited 20 minutes for our drinks when I finally just went up to the bar and got them myself. My husband ordered a burger and was asked what side he wanted, but was never told that fries would be extra. We ordered an appetizer, but that didn't come out until the rest of our meal. We ended up getting dessert and when it was brought out we asked if we could get spoons and was rudely told she would send our server over. If it had been busier I maybe could have understood this, but it really wasn't. The thing that really bothers me about this is the fact that the manager knew how bad the service was and never bothered to come over and apologize. read more

It has been years since my last visit to OB. With a sense of fond nostalgia, my friends and I entered for lunch on Friday, July 14 while attending the Fargo Street Fair. Perhaps we should have been suspicious as it was not busy during what should have been prime activity. Our meals were pathetic. A salad prepared solely iceberg lettuce, no spring or spinach greens? really? that's acceptable with your clientele? And your cheeseburger comes with "American" cheese and no substitutions? Sad...bad. Maybe the dinner menu has better fare, perhaps the sports bar appeal attracts drinkers and diners but I won't be back during my next trip to Fargo and can't recommend Old Broadway. read more

Probably my favorite place to eat in Fargo (probably 4 1/2 stars for me). I love the ahi-tuna sandwich, which I always get with sweet potato fries. They always ask how you want the tuna--I suppose a lot of people in Fargo don't like their tuna just seared, but I do! The smothered steak is also delicious. They've remodeled the bathroom that people refer as awful in other reviews and it's now very nice. The noise level in the actual restaurant is usually very low in the early evening hours, except for their Thursday wine night. We rarely have a drink, other than iced tea or cola, and they don't ignore us because of that like some places will. read more

Hands down some of the best soups in town! Both the Chicken Tortilla soup and the Beer Cheese soup are classics and favorites. Another goodie you may have not tried is their Chef's Salad. There is an awesome amount of diced meats (ham, turkey, etc.), a cheese assortment, sliced hard boiled eggs and more all served on this massive platter. I have to still give this place a great review. This place really caters to a mixed crowd. Depending on the day or what part of the building you are in I would say you will be very happy. Just understand its a very mixed crowd in this place. Friday night in the club part is 21-25 old's almost exclusively as well as mixed races of all sort trying to have fun. So dancing and a DJ plus occasional grinding and fights. In the Restaurant dinning area you have 35+ professional people drinking wine and dinning on great food choices. In the mixed bar at West side of the building you have 25 - 55+ old folks in a sit down sports bar feel that has the options of good food, drinks and a almost Irish bar feel. Its a good place to go. If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I have worked in a restaurant for 15 years and never experienced such rude staff in my life. Its a shame these people are the face of the OB. I went here a few weeks ago with my fiance and another couple. My girlfriend and i tried to order drinks at the packed bar (in the dance club side) from a male bartendar with long hair. He told me girlfriend she couldnt order a drink until the rest of our party walked in. Our guys were outside talking and catching up. When i called him out on the fact that this was his job and he was being rude he said to me "then get the f*** out". He then served everyobe around us with such an attitude. When we finally got our drinks, i couldnt help myself but to express how rude he was to us, he then threw my receipt at me. Another bartendar came over and asked us to leave. I tried to explain that he refused to serve us bc our whole party wasnt here and that he was rude. The other bartendar responded with "im sure he had a reason". Once again, never in my life have i been treated that way or have i treated anyone that way. Dude should probably find another career if he cant pour two simple beers. Such a shame! read more

We used to go there frequently, and this USED to be a nice place to dine. Since they have changed their menu, I definitely would not recommend. They removed several items from their menu, including steak and walleye. They allow absolutely ZERO substitutions on ANY of their menu items, so beware. The quality of the remaining items on their menu has fallen also. Plus serving sizes went down and prices went up. Very disappointed in the menu choices and quality of food. I wouldnt go to this place if someone paid me to. We are from Washington state and my daughter goes to school out there. She tried to go into this place after turning 21. They thought her id was fake and confiscated it. She had to call the police to come down there to get her license back. The dumbass manager was threatening to sue her and just completely rude. Ate there 9/20/14, the food was fine, the service was fine except when it came to getting change on my bill. From a fifty dollar bill I was expecting a twenty, instead got two fives and ten ones, a little over kill on change for a tip, especially when the tip was already laying on the table. I came to Fargo to visit my friends and we decided to go to old broadway.I had my green card as an ID with me.when I' v shown it to security they said I am not allowed to get in because they don't accept green cards..when I was trying to proof it is legal ID given to me by USA immigration services and means more than any ID they got rude and told me to leave the place and not come back. We were there on 5/7/16 prior to the Garth concert. Good service, nice atmosphere. The TUNA FUSION sandwich was Excellent!! I have never had anything like it before. Very satisfying. Great job to the cook! It does get a little too dark to the rear of the restaurant for our taste but the host was great about letting us switch to a table up front by the windows. read more
