Cool little (really little) brewery tucked away in the artsy backstreets of old Bisbee. Super cool ambiance. The few indoor tables are beneath and around the tanks, kettles and vats used to make and hold the beer being poured. There is a tiny bar with about 6 seats near the front door. There is a large outdoor deck area with table seating accessible from inside and there is table service out there. The deck is cut into the side of the narrow canyon that forms the neighborhood and the deck is elevated above the brewery, giving a birdseye view of the area and the goingson. Multiple varieties of fresh beer. The Royal Stout was quite good as, surprisingly, was the Mountain Lime Lager - go figure. No food service, but there's an ample supply of fesh popcorn from the constantly running industrial popper next to the bar. If you sit on the left end of the bar, you will likely be pressed into service operating it on behalf of all your fellow patrons - fun! Service is really personable and friendly, as are the clientele. Great place to chill over a few pints. read more

The bartender was awesome. The beer was really very good. And the location was wonderful. Loved this brewery. Wish I'd bought a t shirt or sweatshirt. read more

The quality of the Pilsner and amber ale was simply excellent! They were rich, intricate, well-crafted and delicious. I can't wait to return! My friend bought a bottle of the Bisbee Blue Gin. It's too easy to call it "gin." It's more like a gin liqueur - something to sip and savor. It's amazing! read more

Did I mention we were in town for a weekend with my parents? Yeah - what does one do with three days with the parents looming? One finds the closest, highest-rated craft brewery, of course! (No? Just me?) My dad mentioned heading into Bisbee for a pit stop at a pit and to stroll the streets of yore. Once we decided that Bisbee was on that morning's agenda, I did a quick search to see what was around, and what we could plan for. My dad is NOT a fan of walking - or any physical activity, really - so I knew we had to find something that'd interest us while giving him a chance to rest. Old Bisbee Brewing Company popped up and I stopped my search. I knew my husband would be interested, and I knew my dad would go for it, but I wasn't sure that my mom would want to hang with us. She's not a beer drinker, you see. Still, we headed towards the brewery after parking at the other end of town. When we arrived, we realized that everybody else in Bisbee had had the same idea; their outdoor patio was full up, and the tiny interior - with a handful of tables and a few seats at the bar - was almost bursting. My husband and (always tired and cranky) dad went to find a small table for us to share, while my mom and I placed our orders at the bar. I got a pint of the Marzen for my husband (if there's a festbier on the menu, he'll always order it. Always), and a couple of flights - a taste of all 7 pours - for myself and my dad. Mom abstained for the time being, which was fine. She was going to take sips off of dad's flight, anyway. The woman at the counter - who I'm pretty sure was also the owner - brought both flights to our tiny, rickety table. I loved the tray she used to present and serve the flights. Circular and metal, and easy to follow the menu so you know what you were drinking. By the time my mom and I made our way to the table, my husband was halfway through his pint. He took a couple sips from my flight, as well, but he was way more interested in his Oktoberfest. He actually said it's the best Oktoberfest he's ever had, and he's kind of a snob about those brews, so I shared that feedback with the lady at the counter. She was very pleased. Here's my flight rundown. Beer 1: the Classic Pilsner (slightly sweet, almost citrusy brew); Beer 2: Copper City Ale (tasted like a lovely red); Beer 3: Double Hopped IPA (way too West Coast IPA for me [does it ever end?!]. Side note - mom surprised us all by loving this beer. Go figure.); Beer 4: Mayan Stout (welcome flavor after the bitter IPA, loved the toasted, roast notes); Beer 5: Salut! (the men thought this was water when the flights arrived. Mom and I knew better. I was the ONLY one at the table to hate this drink. And I mean HATE. It tasted like dirty dishwater to me, but my family fell in love. So much so that mom got a small growler to go!); Beer 6: Oktoberfest! (I understood why my husband loved this beer. It was rich but light, with almost a caramel flavor or note. It had a beautiful copper color, as well); Beer 7: Belgian Tripel (I knew what to expect, but I was still overpowered by the Chiquita banana-ness of the brew). Though cramped, the venue and staff were inviting and fun. I know my husband wanted to go back before we left for home, but had to make do with a growler of Oktoberfest. (And let me tell you, I had to talk him out of buying more than one growler of the stuff...) read more

Old Bisbee Brewing - Flight | pours of the 7 beers on tap - Breweries Near Me - Bisbee, Arizona

A great brewery in a small town! There is seating inside but more seating and tables outside in the back. They offer a wonderful selection of locally brewed beers and an amazing drink called the salut! You can purchase some snacks and they have free popcorn. If you're not sure what you like or want, opt for their beer tasting samples. Don't forget to bring or purchase a growler to bring your favorite brew home! read more

Excellent local brews; try the tasting fleet! Inside and outside seating. Try their gin too, it is very interesting and surprisingly good from a non gin joint read more

I was ignored went I first walked in and waited while 5 other people were served who arrived after me before I was finally asked what beer I wanted. The beer tender was very rude towards me, which honestly was surprising since I patiently waited for my opportunity to order. I sat outside and eventually ordered a brat from the beer tender outside who was way more approachable and nice. Overall disappointing experience. read more

This place is itty bitty, teeny tiny and would be much better if they had some real food options. A boiled sausage and frozen pretzels just don't cut it. They brew some decent beer. I would suggest getting a flight to try it all. I was hoping we could sit outside and have some bites but our entire party was still hungry even though I ordered one of everything. They have the potential to offer more, I think. read more

Really disappointed. Wish they had more to offer in the snack department... even something like chips and salsa (make a deal with the local salsa place!)... Ordered the beer sampler. Love this place and their beer and wouldn't hang at any other bar in the city. I will drive 80 miles round trip for a couple hours there. Of course, I always eat dinner and decompress before heading home. Do not drive over the limit even thought you think you drive more cautiously after a couple of pints (smoky'll get ya). The bar-maids are astute and almost always friendly and well worth a 20% tip. The owner is a gentleman. The clientele, whether tourist or local, are usually friendly and eager to hear your lonely story, and like me, they go there to socialize. I always feel at home there and frequently meet interesting people with great life stories. Only Negatives: I wish the price of a pint was less. A "buy-back," although I think illegal in Arizona, would go a long way. I'm an ex-New Yorker and regulars always get a buy-back in a good pub in New York. This was the hardest thing to get use to when I moved to Arizona in 1997. Also, digital payment are required for cards (pain in the butt for us old-timers who like itemized paper bills when we're drinking), and there is no happy hour, but I can only image the debt service on a brewery. read more

Beautiful place, and the beer is amazing!!! I got a special beer that was brewed like champagne, and it tasted like the best cider I've ever had. Crisp, sweet, and clean! I will definitely be back again. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I thought they would have more food options as they are listed amongst restaurants on yelp. They do have hot dogs and chili, but I would have wanted a bit more variety. read more

The Lime Deluxe Hazy IPA is deliciously smooth and hoppy and oh so drinkable. Yum! I think Yelp has the location wrong, but we found it easily anyway. Amy, our awesome server, was informative, delightful and took great care of us at our outdoor table. We had the raved about outdoor patio all to ourselves! Nice view of the Mule Mountains, in the middle of old historic Bisbee. Masks are required and I felt totally safe eating & drinking here. The food menu is short, but honestly is all you need. We had the bratwurst with chili & jalapeños. There are small mini pizzas too for this kiddos. The Peach Basil Saison is really good and I'm not a fan of Saisons. Definitely get their tasting tray and try them all. I'm impressed with this little brewery and the diversity of ales they can pump out. Hats off to the brew master! They also distill their own gin! Bisbee Blue is smooth and goes down easy. Would make a great gin & tonic. Don't miss this epic watering hole! read more

Drinking on this patio is the very best. With so many places not open late, we went there a few times on our anniversary weekend. The barkeep was the best, so sweet and easy to talk to - full of information about the local haunts. The beer was fabulous and we ate there too - the chili and chips were perfect on a rainy, summer evening. I had the Watermelon hard seltzer and I recommend it highly. I can't wait to head back to Bisbee! Thanks so much! read more

This is quite the neat little brewery, especially for an area that really doesn't have any. All the beers were pretty solid, especially the IPA. And I hate to admit it, but I really enjoyed the Mountain Lime Lager, which would be fantastic on a hot summer day. It's what Bud Light Lime goes to bed at night dreaming it could be, but fails miserably at. Light, crisp, and refreshing with just enough lime to let you know it's there. The space inside is small, but very welcoming. We were there on Thanksgiving day (kudos for being open!), and the bartender was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy being there and having us. There's a nice looking patio for warmer days. They were serving brats and chips when we were there, which were tasty and much appreciated. There's also free popcorn available. I'll definitely stop in again should I ever find myself in the area. read more

Road trips are always fun. Not that we came super far from Patagonia, but it was still a road trip nonetheless and we were all still visiting a place we'd never been. Bisbee as a town was definitely one of the many highlights of this trip. After walking around (and up many of their steps) downtown Bisbee we thought it would be a good time to check out some of the local beer as that is what we do. Sue had actually done some research before our trip and suggested we stop in here if we ended up making the trip to Bisbee. The Old Bisbee Brewing Company is very basic. Unlike home (Portland, OR) where they have to serve food if they are serving alcohol, in Arizona they apparently don't have to serve food. We were seated and asked what we wanted to drink. We hadn't decided yet, but asked about food menus. We were told they had brats. That was it. Oh, also self-serve popcorn next to the bar area. After looking at the beer list I decided on the Pilsner. It was starting to warm up a bit and a nice crisp and cold Pilsner sounded like the way to go. The beer was just ok. Nothing spectacular. Sue and our friend Journee felt the same way about their beers too. I guess we all went in with high expectations and felt kind of meh about the whole thing. read more

We are in Bisbee for the first time. Walked over to grab a fresh brew at 9:30pm tonight and they are closed!?! All the lights are on inside, and on the patio. The sign out front says open daily until 10:30pm. Yelp and Google says open until 10:30pm. Knocked on the door, and tried all the doors, also tried calling but no answer. The employees must be at the bar next door drinking with friends! Oh well, we will spend our time and money somewhere else. We decided to come back the next day and it was worth the extra effort. Great beer, and great staff. read more

This place is great! Its pretty teeny tiny inside, but that honestly adds to the atmosphere. Patio seating is outside, but its been a wee bit too cold for that on both of our visits. Inside they have a tv screen behind the bar, a very friendly and efficient staff, and a small menu of hotdogs, chili and free popcorn for your beer munchies. Getting the sampler is definitely your best bet if you're a newbie here like we were last time. Its a great way to see what the Bisbee Brewing Company is all about and really appreciate what they produce. We even bought a growler to take home. I was very impressed! The price was great, too. We went back yesterday for a "pilgrimage trip" for a refill :) The Copper City Ale is outstanding. Amazing flavor and balance. The current seasonal is the Hazelnut Brandy Ale. While its pretty heavy, the flavor is incredible. Even if you just get a taster, its worth it just to taste yet another thing they have accomplished. This place is worth the trip to Bisbee alone. read more

Beer is great. Though it was hard to enjoy them after the bar tender (345 PM on 11/10/19) was blatantly rude to my girlfriend while we were ordering. Making it a point to loudly call her out for not having renewed a new (over 21) ID six days after her birthday was neither appropriate or helpful. Also it wouldn't hurt to say thank you or smile before she shoves the beers at us. Again, the beer was great, but the service, eh. read more

Amy took such great care of my family! My sister, sister-in-law and I were visiting Mom and her husband for a few days in Sierra Vista. They suggested we visit Bisbee even though the temperature was over 100 for the day. I had my 8 month old puppy with me so I didn't want to walk around town too much in the heat. First off, Bisbee is adorable and I can't wait to come back when it's cooler. Bisbee Brewing was a must as far as my mom was concerned. Even on her cane, she insisted on going up and down the concrete steps to the outdoor seating. There was shade, misters and it was totally enclosed so I could let the puppy explore. My sister-in-law had the pale, mom's husband had the red ale, Mom, my sister and I had the Double Hopped IPA. All of us were extremely happy. Amy was the one though who went up and down the stairs taking care of us, the puppy, my overheated phone, and doing it with great humor and exceptional service! Definitely going back. read more

Seven. Dollar. Flights. I'll say it again, just to make sure you got it: Seven. Dollar. Flights. And this isn't a tasting of three or four offerings. This is everything they've got. Seven different beers (okay, okay, one of them was a blend of their Copper Ale and their IPA, but it was still different), finishing off with a limey cordial that had a dessert-drink kinda feel and a beer/lemonade kind of taste. My favorites were their IPA, and their pale. Tasty. Refreshing. Perfect for the sweatbox that calls itself Arizona. Atmosphere-wise, this place is cozy, but efficient - if you can snag the chairs, you can easily fit 7 people at a table. Which we had to do, because there was 7 of us. Also, they have a deck with a great view of the hills surrounding Bisbee, which I'd discovered is the Ithaca of the American southwest. Also, grilled brats and a bag of chips for 5 bucks. Nothing like good beer on a hot day. read more
