The place is pretty large and although in quite ropey Archway the clientèle seemed nice. The menu was quite extensive with a range of breakfast and more traditional Med' foods such as meze's and kebab wraps. The plus side is the cheapness. Cheeeeeeap! I love that word. There were starter meze's for £6.95 an dfull English breakfasts were less than a £5. I went for a lamb wrap that was served with fries and a decent salad. It cost me £4.95 and I was happily content afterwards. This place has a nice feel and if I am ever in the Archway area, this would be my quick lunch time eatery of choice.

At least, not yet. The service is very friendly, seemingly very efficient and helpful. The Adana kebab and Iskender kebabs were delicious with the right spice levels. Exactly the way I remember it in Istanbul. The starters are very well priced, but the portions are also accordingly sized (meaning don't expect American sized portions). The rice that came with the kebabs had distinctly less butter than usual (whether in London or Istanbul). Ok, so maybe an emerging trend to move towards a healthier meal. The bill, which came with three pieces of Turkish delights, at £20 per head, including a bottle of wine, was a fair deal. I'll give this one 3.6 (rounds up to 4) because the food wasn't infinitely memorable, but I'd go back for more if I were in the neighbourhood.

The dips (tzatziki, lebneh, greek meatballs and spicy feta) specifically stood out. I don't eat octopus, but the group gave raving reviews. As a main dish, I got the moussaka which was another incredible dish and paired nicely with a red wine bottle that we shared. Their dessert was to die for as well. The chocolate cake was so decadent and smooth, and we ended up ordering an extra order of the baklava because it was so delicious. I'd recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!

They clearly love what they do, came by to chat and you could tell this isn't just a job for them. That kind of passion is rare and you can taste the love in their food. The food was next level. It tasted like home cooking, like someone's mom was back there grilling. Nothing fancy, just honest, generous, well seasoned Greek food done right. The atmosphere was so relaxed and cosy, with exotic music, I felt like I was in a little taverna somewhere in Greece rather than sitting in Camden. Service was spot on too, attentive without hovering. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in Camden and want food that actually feels like it was made with love, go here. 5 stars.

The restaurant is small but nice and the outdoor seating was great. Prices are reasonable. Food was fine but nothing memorable. The Bad - I ordered vegan vine leaves and they came with meat in them. Twice. Then they didn't come at all but the table next to us kept getting them. Very strange. Food also took a while and came out in random intervals. The grilled veggies were dry and tasteless. The reviews of this place are so good that our experience must have been an anomaly. Still we won't rush back anytime soon.

The owner is really, really into his restaurant and excitedly told us all about all the different specials and options. My sister and I got the set menu, the Artemis (meat) menu which was fairly steep at £27.50 per person. Food was good and came in courses. 1. Sauce sampler of hummus, taramosalata, tzatziki and baba ganoush with bread. 2. Meat sampler of a single keftede, spanakopita and loukaniko per person. 3. Horatiki salad. 4. Entree served family style of grilled pork and chicken. 5. Dessert of yogurt with honey, a single baklava, karydopita and kataifi per person. Courses came out fairly slow and they unfortunately forgot about us for our last course. The owner gives great service, but he can't be expected to be on top of every table as it got very busy. The female server with reddish hair (spoke Greek) seemed out of it and not a good help to him. We ended up spending more than 2 hours at the restaurant, and it came down to the owner not having good support from the one waitress around, but the food was very good. Would have preferred it to be a little less expensive, but I'd go back.

Unfortunately the hype didn't live up to the results. The octopus (You'll love it! It's amazing!) was too crispy / oily for me and felt overcooked. I was in town with some co workers, one of which is on a low carb diet. So after seeing some good reviews of this Turkish restaurant with good selection of grilled meats, we figured to give it a try. It was 8 PM on a Monday evening so the place was quite empty which was nice as we wanted to catch up on some work discussions (I think there was just one other table occupied). The restaurant is located in a tiny little alleyway which added to the charm but did make it a challenge to find. The place is also very small....I'd call it a hole in the wall type. We looked through the menu and ordered the hummus, grilled sausage, and grilled sardines for appetizers and the lamb chops, chicken kebab, seared fish, and lamb kebobs for entrees. I appreciate this place has great prices, however, the quality of the ingredients wasn't comparable to other Mediterranean restaurants we have been too lately. To be fair I have only sampled their breakfasts and lunches, not evening meal, but nothing they have offered me has made me want to go there in the evening. In the morning I was presented with a half decent fry up for £5 and certainly it looked healthier than something from a greasy spoon, but the restaurant had the atmosphere of a department store cafe. At lunch I sat outside and certainly enjoyed the opportunity to do so. Sitting i the sun, I ordered a large greek salad. It was plentiful, but tasted no better than something I could have knocked up myself. You know the difference between restaurant salad and your own salad, well thats what I am on about.
