That's exactly what happened with La Rana. My cousin and his wife said that it's one of their favorites and after this chicken salad, I can see why. The ciabatta was pillowy soft and this Sriracha almond chicken salad was perfection. The salad was lightly dressed with an amazing balsamic vinaigrette, and I'm glad that I split the sandwich with someone because it would have been tough to get through both halves. My only regret is not going back there and having the chicken curry special with a glass of wine in the evening.

The manager was friendly and amazing to chat with at the end of our meal and we had such a blast! I'm glad we made a reservation and stopped by! It's an enormous, industrial-chic space and is built for events and charter busses. Their patio is dog friendly but you have to come inside to order at the bar after checking in. The food looked decent and the pretzel was ok. Standard, uninspired brewpub food for the most part. Worth noting that their beer list isn't up to date so we missed out on a few barrel aged things they said they had. Basically you have to get there on release day if you want any non-flagship dark beers. It's a nice one-stop shop on a road trip for food and beer but I don't think it's worth going out of the way for.

The tavern and patio offer a more casual ambiance, while the restaurant itself is chic and has an element of more formality. The staff is always ALWAYS incredible and thoughtful. We were so fortunate that they were able to seat us on the outdoor patio facing the water. This restaurant isn't just great for the views--the food and drinks here were phenomenal as well. Our appetizers of beer-battered cheese curds and mussels were so flavorful and hit the spot. We also loved our fish tacos and linguini with scallops (I absolutely loved the crushed red pepper that came with it too!). Our food all paired nicely with their extensive cocktail/drinks menu, which included many different breweries and distilleries. This is one of those restaurants you'll remember visiting forever--definitely come visit if you can!

She was beyond knowledgeable of the food and drink menu which is always a huge plus! When we got our food, it was PERFECT. My husband and I are both foodies and I have had countless steaks in my life, but this hands down was THE BEST filet I have ever had. The owner Roumel, who is also the head chef, table touched which is unheard of now a days and we started talking about me being from Cleveland and him being from Chicago and next thing I know we're comparing our 2016 World Series notes. His wife Jilaine told us all about the story behind the restaurant and what encouraged them to buy it and the passion behind both of their words were so genuine that you could tell they took pride in their staff, restaurant and food. We ordered two appetizers- river rat balls & brushetta. Both were really good. All four of ordered the Saturday special of prime rib. Came with two sides. Nope... no flavor. Nada. Just a hunk of meat. I did scope out all other food coming from the small kitchen where you could hear the staff having a great time. It looked good so maybe we ordered wrong... but the menu is limited on prime rib days and what I normally would order wasn't available. Side note- I've worked in the restaurant business... not one person in the kitchen had hair nets on. Food was handles with barehands and I saw repeated cross contamination. The prime rib they cut our hunks off of laid on a counter dripping blood onto the floor that then had a towel thrown over it. I didn't feel great about eating our meal after noting all this.
