His salmon had a perfectly finished crisp and my lobster & shrimp pappardelle had a delectable sauce with copious seafood. Topping off the flavorful feast was peanut butter pie which was light and lovely. We were seated at the same table as last night (still cozy) and well-attended by Kari who knew who we were and chatted companionably with us. This is an old hotel that's been revamped a little. Flat screen tv. Pretty comfortable beds and pillows. Good blackout curtains. I didn't find it too noisey, but I could hear a lot from the rooms as I walked past some. My checkin was cursory at best. But that's fine. Most people staying here seemed to be people staying for a week for work - mostly construction. Rooms have large fridges for a hotel room. And coffee makers. I think microwaves too. It's near a Dunkin. Always good. I found this expensive for what you get. Mostly because of the totally overpowering smoke smell.

We had tried to book at the LaQuinta, but they were full, so they referred us here, saying it was a good hotel. Wrong! I advise everyone to avoid it.

The studios that we stayed in were clean and spacious. Overall, the hotel and premises were very clean. The front desk folks were super friendly. Also, there was a daily complimentary hot breakfast served from 6:30 - 9:30 AM Mon-Fri and 7 - 10 AM on Sat-Sun. Some complimentary breakfasts tend to be quite sad, but NOT THIS ONE. For the hot foods there were scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage links, bacon strips, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (YES, you read that right) and French toast sticks. There was also quite a variety of pre-packaged cereal, yogurts, milk/chocolate milk, pre-packaged banana and blueberry muffins and juice. Honestly, this was probably one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I've had! If I had to create an ideal budget hotel with a complimentary breakfast, this hotel would be it. But once you step into the place, you are pleasantly surprised that this does not appear to be your typical La Quinta. They have a shuttle to the casino if you desire to lose money. The staff at night when we arrived were not overly friendly, but the staff in the morning more than made up for it. The continental breakfast and coffee we're halfway decent. The room was surprisingly quiet given the number of long-term construction workers staying here. As with other hotels with long-term construction work or staying there, there is way too much secondhand smoke as you walk into the building, as there is an area to the left of the entrance.
