Parking was easy, in a lot right near the playground. There were a few parties going on but the park was small enough that we had no trouble finding the right one. The park was great, well kept and inviting. Even the bathroom wasn't bad--I generally avoid park bathrooms but had to attend Leo, and this one wasn't disgusting. The playground was nice and our four-year-old Leo B. enjoyed himself running around the play structure. I liked that the party was set up at tables close to the playground, so we didn't have to spend the whole party fighting our child's desire to run and climb. He also liked being at the party, especially when the piñata came out. Our toddler had a good time, too, and took a little nap in his stroller after a walk on the smooth concrete path winding through the park grounds. We live pretty far from La Crescenta, so we won't be spending too much time here, but I really liked Dunsmore Park. It worked well as a party venue and was just an all-around pleasant place for a weekend family outing. We'd make good use of it if we were in the neighborhood.

This park was great because I felt very safe if I had to chase after the two-year-old for a second and didn't have my eyes glued to both of them. The structure seems new. There was a variety of pieces to it from slides to stairs to twisty poles. Definitely the structures at the nearby Fremont park are larger, but also more crowded. There was a generous amount of shade and a couple picnic benches. If I lived close I could definitely see coming out here to sit in the sun or shade and enjoying California weather!

Glenoaks park doesn't have cheeseburgers, but there's an in & out off the freeway here so, two birds, one stone and fries on the side. The park is tucked back in the adorable neighborhood and had shade trees, clean bathrooms, grass and a pretty rad playground. Our little lady is too small to really appreciate all that, but she loved getting out of her carseat to crawl around and we were greeted by some friendly residents and their pups while relaxing for a bit. We were told that the neighborhood was lucky to have escaped the threat of a recent fire that burned the hills behind it - whew! So glad to hear! It's a nice place and the people who live there seem to really love it a lot. Thanks for welcoming us for a little break from the asphalt.

When we visited there wasn't a lot of people, but they have a tennis court, a basketball court and a small little playground for kids. They had a few tables around the park. There's not a lot of traffic around the park so it seems safe for your kids if you plan to bring them to play. If you're from around the area and need to take a breather and time to walk, this is a good place to walk around. I saw a few joggers, but it was mostly quiet and hardly anyone around. Since COVID19 a lot of restaurants are not allowing you to dine-in, so this is a good little place to picnic with your friends or family. We ended up staying in the car and parked right by the park. We were in a rush since we came around the holidays, so we could not stay to enjoy it. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to go for a picnic and Eagle Rock isn't allowing dine-in, then I would definitely come back. It's not crowded, it's clean, it looks safe and there's a few benches to hangout. I did not get a chance to check the restrooms, but it did not look bad from the outside view. The grass and trees around the park look well taken care of by the city.

Back then in the early 80s, the whole area was very different: "The Park" was the only designation Jefferson Park had, and there was a 24/7 basketball game happening on the court. It wasn't the only action happening in the park, however. An older kid tried to sell me pills in that park when I was 6.... I ran all the way home down the alley cause I was scared! There also used to be one of those huge metal rocket ships in the park and I got held hostage there once by some punk who wouldn't let me down. Had my first kiss in that park in kindergarten (Heather)... Had my first fight in that park (Vincent). Another time we were there, two guys ran across the park shooting at each other. We sort of stood there like idiots, thinking it was like watching a bad episode of the A-Team. Times have changed in east Pasadena. The whole neighborhood is significantly better, housing prices are stupid-high, and the park is now more likely to host an evening softball game or a pair of stroller hottie mamas than a gang fight. There is play equipment and picnic facilities. A smallish softball field is usually in use by some softball league. Watch your kids and dogs, here. People speed on Villa.
