When we visited there wasn't a lot of people, but they have a tennis court, a basketball court and a small little playground for kids. They had a few tables around the park. There's not a lot of traffic around the park so it seems safe for your kids if you plan to bring them to play. If you're from around the area and need to take a breather and time to walk, this is a good place to walk around. I saw a few joggers, but it was mostly quiet and hardly anyone around. Since COVID19 a lot of restaurants are not allowing you to dine-in, so this is a good little place to picnic with your friends or family. We ended up staying in the car and parked right by the park. We were in a rush since we came around the holidays, so we could not stay to enjoy it. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to go for a picnic and Eagle Rock isn't allowing dine-in, then I would definitely come back. It's not crowded, it's clean, it looks safe and there's a few benches to hangout. I did not get a chance to check the restrooms, but it did not look bad from the outside view. If you are familiar with the playground set at Shane's inspiration in Griffith Park, you will notice that they have the same play sets here! They have a small parking lot but I noticed there were a lot of street parking spots as well. We came to the park around 8:30-9 am and there were a lot of spots opened. My son loved playing with everything at the park, it kept him so busy and active for a whole hour! The musical instrument section was his favorite, he loves banging on the drums and playing with the xylophone. The entire playground is castle and dragon themed and it was so cute walking around and seeing the different pictures and cartoons they had on the wall. At one point my son got a little tired from the playground so we decided to walk around the park, there is a short walking trail, tennis court, and workout machines throughout this small park. This park and Palmer Park are definitely our favorite playground parks in the neighborhood!

I understand charging an admission fee, but it's hard to justify when many of the flowers and plants didn't appear to be very well maintained. On top of that, several areas and gardens were closed off due to private events, which meant we couldn't fully enjoy everything that was included with admission. I was also surprised that the train ride required an additional fee, especially since the ride itself lasted only about two minutes. Between the entry fee, limited access to parts of the property, and extra charges for attractions inside, the experience didn't quite feel like a good value. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because the gardens have a lot of potential. Better maintenance, ensuring guests have access to the advertised areas, or adjusting pricing when sections are unavailable would make for a much better visitor experience.
