He did a bunch of work in one visit and fixed the rest on my next. I am so grateful because my past experiences with dentists were terrible. I have overcrowding and he didn't push braces on me or anything. It was nice because I don't want braces, I know my teeth aren't straight and I like them. He's the first dentist to not even suggest them. I love the art on the wall and the Sinatra on the radio. It helped calmed my nerves. I will definitely be returning for cleanings. He fixed everything in my mouth in 2 visits! My other dentist would only do one thing at a time and the wait list was months. So, I'm very surprised that he helped me so quickly and now my mouth feels amazing.

However, I recently had a reason for needing some oral surgery, and my dentist referred me do Dr. Brar's office. And I am glad about that. First of all, Dr. Brar must be good at hiring people, or have somebody helping him do that. Everybody I've been in contact with are great to work with, and makes me feel relaxed. Or as relaxed as you van feel at a dental surgeon. On top of that, Dr. Brar himself is a great dentist. He is friendly, knowledgeable, efficien, and have a great "bedside manner". My toot extraction took about 15 minutes, and apart from the sounds you hear when a tooth is pulled out of your upper jaw, there was no pain, no discomfort. Nothing. If I ever need oral surgery again, this is where I'll go, and I would recommend Dr. Brar to anybody needing it.

Dental work that is absolutely needed and not cheap. For a business that claims "Every team member has been carefully selected and trained to provide compassionate care and ensure a positive, comfortable experience during your visit" this doesn't seem to hit the mark. My initial complaint was lack of financing options for families and the receptionist told me she would call back by end of day to let me know if there was anything that could be done. Instead, the call returned was from the office manager cancelling our appt due to the "threat" that I mentioned writing a review or talking to the community. That's exactly how I worded it. No threats. Now instead of receiving any customer service, I am writing a valid review about how inappropriate it is to cancel a minors appt because the mother suggests she is unhappy. We as military families are stationed here with limited options and finding out there are ZERO payment plan options for high cost procedures besides delayed care or taking out credit (that may not be approved for everyone) was shocking. Most dentists that I know offer SOME form of payment options. I did not find this to be the case here. Lack of affordability aside, this review was solely triggered based on the egregious cancellation. A complaint is not a "threat" and using that as an excuse to cancel a medical appointment that a minor needs is something worth reporting. I welcome contact with the owner to know if this is how the business is supposed to be run.

Finally got an X-ray and it showed that the dentist had incorrectly placed the bridge, leaving a gap exposing nerves. Now, I am thankful that Dr. Rowley didn't charge me to replace it--however, the issue could have been resolved years prior if I had been taken seriously! When I went in to have the bridge replaced, I was not numb enough. The pain was awful and when I asked for more anesthetic, I was given so much that my tongue, mouth, and entire lower half of my face was numb for two days. After covid, I returned to have a cavity filled, and brought this up--I was told I'd be fine, but they'd numb me extra if it'd make me feel better. Cool. Again, I was numb for about a day and a half, which was way longer than necessary. Sorry I didn't want dental pain, I guess? Anyway, Dr. Rowley dropped me as a patient because she was overcharging my father for cleanings, and he dared to bring it up! So I got dropped, even though I was twenty-eight years old and on my own insurance plan. Guess she did me a favor, even though Bayside is the only dentist in Anacortes that takes my insurance. But I'd rather pay out of pocket or make the trip out of town than be treated like that ever again.
