I had a good experience over a year ago when I had a consultation. I recently went to a new…read moredentist, got a referal, went over the Dr. Chens office to schedule my appointment. I scheduled my appointment for 2 months out. I specifically asked how much I had to pay. I was told, in writing, that I just had to pay my two deductibles $100. and that my total bill for the procedure would be $934 (insurance covers it). It is now the Friday before my surgery-which is scheduled for the following Thursday. I receive a call from Nina stating that when they gave me my quote they hadnt factored in their new prices-which went up. She stated I would have to pay them $711 at my appointment the following week. Outragged I had her break it down. She kept going on about how insurances worked, finally said they had me scheduled for three teeth to be pulled. I was like, uh, I only scheduled for my 2 widsom teeth to be pulled. She was like oh, looks at whatever and says oh yea it says that right here. Well let me recalculate this for you and call you back. I say fine. A few minutes go by and she calls me back. She says the instead of the $711, I would owe $430 on the day of my appointment. Furious now. I ask her if she understands why I am so frustrated. Exact words-not joking- was "yes, I work with insurance companies all day and they are confusing." I am not joking! I had to explain to her why I was frustrated, because of her and thier lack of customer service or concern. I told her to take my name out of their records and to never call me again-in not such a nice way. I wouldnt recommend them because of this bad experience. And I even called another oral surgeon, gave them in insurance info. and they said everything was covered. HHMMM. weird

I had an extraction in November 2024 and he tried talking me into around a $10,000 procedure over all and about $2,000 for that day's visit since I was only wanting the $10 procedure. I told him no, and he continued to pressure. I asked him if he was going to pay for it. He gave me a look and stopped. We start the extraction. He never numbed my gums with topical before shoving in the needle. I think thats his of 'disapproving' my choices. My wife needs an extraction in April 2025 and he has 'changed' his policy that all extractions are now under general and costing us $1,100 instead of $10 and an appointment is in May while in 10 out of 10 pain. He is the biggest scammer. We will be transferring to a new dentist ASAP. Everyone else at Bright Now was amazing, no ill will towards them!

Took my son to his practice in Tukwila, WA for wisdom teeth extraction. Not sure where to begin…read more First, they required 2 visits and billed for both separately. On the statement they set up the charges to clean his teeth for safety... He cancelled his cleaning for the following week with his regular dentist. He was only back for about 35 minutes, so I was pretty sure that didn't happen. They confirmed it by calling and asking him to come back in so they could clean his teeth. So much for safety..... After that his staff flat out lied to me and said "they're prohibited from billing health insurance" and told me I could submit it myself. Knew it was a lie the minute she said it - and of course it got confirmed by my insurer when I submitted the claim. His office is a preferred provider and is REQUIRED to submit the claims. But hey! at least they were nice enough to bill for a dental exam and x-rays, so those charges got denied at this regular dentist, so I got that going for me.
