You can do the responsible thing and pay your balance or let the account default. I have cancelled your next appointment and inactivated your account. You will receive a statement in the mail. each month until paid. I was told, in writing, that I just had to pay my two deductibles $100. and that my total bill for the procedure would be $934 (insurance covers it). It is now the Friday before my surgery-which is scheduled for the following Thursday. I receive a call from Nina stating that when they gave me my quote they hadnt factored in their new prices-which went up. She stated I would have to pay them $711 at my appointment the following week. Outragged I had her break it down. She kept going on about how insurances worked, finally said they had me scheduled for three teeth to be pulled. I was like, uh, I only scheduled for my 2 widsom teeth to be pulled. She was like oh, looks at whatever and says oh yea it says that right here. Well let me recalculate this for you and call you back. I say fine. A few minutes go by and she calls me back. She says the instead of the $711, I would owe $430 on the day of my appointment. Furious now. I ask her if she understands why I am so frustrated. Exact words-not joking- was "yes, I work with insurance companies all day and they are confusing." I am not joking! I had to explain to her why I was frustrated, because of her and thier lack of customer service or concern. I told her to take my name out of their records and to never call me again-in not such a nice way. I wouldnt recommend them because of this bad experience. And I even called another oral surgeon, gave them in insurance info. and they said everything was covered. HHMMM. weird

My awesome endodontist recommended Dr. Esmail in Bellingham, and they were able to get me in quickly for a consult. Dr. Esmail took plenty of time to go over my scans and discuss options, and ultimately we decided on extraction with sedation, and a dental implant to replace the soon-to-be-missing tooth. Another week or so later, and I was in the dental chair being prepped for my procedure. The extraction went well, and I continued to be impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of Dr. Esmail and his staff. They even called me at home later to make sure I was doing okay post-surgery. Everyone, from their front desk staff to their scheduler to their medical staff to Dr. Esmail himself was a true professional who I could tell cared very much for their work and their patients. Do I hope to have another dental surgery someday? Of course not. But if that time comes, I will have no hesitation returning to Dr. Esmail's office.
