After procrastinating finding a dentist in Bellingham after graduating from college, I decided to try this place out after a quick Google search - I'm SO glad I did! After calling a few places and being told new patients were not being accepted, I was relieved I was able to get in here, but was nervous about getting a cleaning since it had been about 5 years since the last time I saw a dentist. I was (and continue to be) so pleasantly surprised by the helpful, friendly staff, and was lucky to get Dr. Elsie Nguyen as my dentist since Dr. Zweber was full. Dr. Elsie has such a calm, personable demeanor and was reassuring during my first cleaning. Since my first appointment, I have been in for a second cleaning and a filling, and each time I've been treated with the same amount of respect and kindness. I went in for my first filling this morning and was admittedly nervous, which the dental hygienist and Dr. Elsie helped negate by being so encouraging, good-humored, and sweet. The building they recently moved into is so beautiful, modern, and well-decorated. The beautiful mural-like pictures on the walls, the feeling of privacy while you're in the dental chair, and the friendliness of the staff come together to make it a really relaxing and comfortable environment. All my appointments have been first thing in the morning, and I appreciate how quiet the whole office is. I used to have problems having anxiety at the dentist, and each time I've seen Dr. Elsie, I haven't had any issues and have felt 100% comfortable and at ease. If anyone is looking for a great, thorough, caring dentist with an amazing staff (including front desk staff), I couldn't recommend Dr. Elsie and her team enough! read more

I'm on Medicare with a rider policy ( Blue Cross ) . I've been going to that office for teeth cleaning for the past two years. Broke a molar two weeks before my semi annual cleaning. Had teeth cleaned and needed a new crown two weeks later which was not covered with my insurance. Crown installed paid $950.00 in full. Two weeks later got a bill through email for $120.00 with no explanation. Does the office manager think I'm going to pay as she puts that money in her pocket without the dentist knowing that she is double billing me? read more

From the difficult to understand receptionist, to the loud pop music playing, to the employees talking loudly to be heard over the music or as though they think you must be partially deaf just because you're an older person, the long waits in the dentist chair with no explanation, I sat alone for 15 minutes, then another wait session of 20 minutes... unpleasant experience, for sure. The last person spoke so loudly that I asked her to lower her volume 3 times finally loudly exclaiming "Stop yelling at me!" and she replies this is my normal voice. I said okay, could you lower your volume a bit then, please? She quickly leaves the room and a lady comes back and tells me to leave, they won't help me at all because she "can't have me yelling at her employees". This place is a nightmare straight out of hell. And, they were completely unprepared to assist a partially-sighted person. The receptionist was angry with me that I couldn't fill out the forms. Dr. Zweber and her highly skilled staff consistently deliver top-notch dental care. I moved to Bellingham 2 years ago and our family visit their office every 6 months. Today, I requested an estimate for a veneer replacement. Dr Zweber had her front office team contact our insurance and before I left my appointment I had a clear idea of my out-of pocket costs. Additionally, and I'm happy about this one, they have all of the tools on-site to create a new replacement veneer or cap... so no waiting for a few weeks to get your permanent cap! It's all done in one visit!! Can't wait until they re-locate nearby later this fall (I hear they will have massaging chairs!). read more

Where to start. I waited a while to give them time to make this right but after two weeks I still don't have the $1,000+ refunded to me as they promised they would. The front desk is kind and professional. Some of the assistant techs are kind professional. There's a new blond girl that has no idea what she's talking about but loves to answer questions. I should have changed dentists when Dr. Zweber decided extracting two bony impacted wisdom teeth was a good idea. 4+ hours per tooth. The pain was excruciating. She said I was bleeding out the local anesthesia. I was shaking and crying far before it was done. She should have referred me to a surgeon that would have put me under to save me the trauma. No one should go through that. All just to get braces or aligners. And that wasn't even accomplished. Next, the myobrace. I paid $1,000 down for an $1,800 mouth brace I was instructed to wear two hours a day and all night for 6 months because "we don't just pull teeth and slap braces on you and send you on your way." I have an overbite, it made sense at first that more treatment was needed for it. I was told about ONE mouth brace. The video they wanted to show me was broken. I was not told there were 3 braces in the program. I was not told I would have to perform breathing exercises and come in to the office and perform said breathing exercises continuously. I was not told I'd have to exhale all the air from my body and hold it for 40 seconds before we could move forward to the next "stage" (2nd brace?) until I was on my third appointment in there for this thing. They said it was only 6 months, now it's until I can hold my breath for twice as long? I only learned a few small details as I continued to go in for the appointments, and then the rest when I finally requested to speak with Dr. Zweber directly and say I'm going to get treatment elsewhere and all this doesn't make sense. I'm 35 and my parents, nor myself, have been able to afford orthodontic care until now. I've been updating my extended family about getting my teeth straightened. When I told them about the myobrace they looked at me with concern and told me to get a second and third opinion. So I did! I called around to different offices and they had no idea why this was necessary in my care plan, nor had they even heard of it. I couldn't even find any peer reviewed journal studies on it. Dr. Zweber let me know she'll kindly refund me all of the money I've paid, minus the $250 for the one brace I used. I've reached out to them twice now for the refund to be told it's been submitted and will take another 10 days to process. The gentleman previously told me he would let me know when it was on its way. To top it all off, I went to a new dentist today that asked me if I've been going in for my regular cleanings with Zweber's office. I said yes. Twice a year. She took pictures and showed me several cavities and stains that Zweber's office never brought up to me. I'm exhausted from the whole thing and will not be back. I can't fathom recommending this office to another person. The new dentist was quick to let me know my teeth crowding and overbite is complex and they'll be referring me to an orthodontist. The difference in professionalism is shocking. read more

My husband and I switched to Cordata Family Dentist after having a less than ideal experience at a bigger dentistry office nearby. At our previous dentist, it was so big, we never had the same dentist twice and here, we can always count on seeing Dr. Zweber. It's also great because we're each able to schedule our appointments around the same time and she never recommends we get work done unless we really need it. I was impressed that when I needed some work done on my front tooth that wasn't just cosmetic but to stop some decay that was happening, they worked and worked until they were able to convince my insurance company that it was necessary so I ended up not having to pay entirely out of pocket. Then, unfortunately, that crown came off my tooth after a few months, but the Dr. was willing to come to the office during her day off to get it back on for me. I read online that some dentists charge way more when they have to come in during their off time, but Dr. Zweber charged minimally. I just wished they would have warned me about the possibility of my crown coming off like that. Now I know to be more careful a favor one side more when eating hard foods. I definitely recommend Cordata Family Dentist, where you can get a real people not corporate feel. read more

It's always hard to find a new dentist when you move to a new town, especially if you are a wimp when it comes to that bi-annual appointment. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Cordata Family Dentist. Dr. Zweber and her whole staff make these visits as close to pleasant as you can hope for. Dr Zweber gives me reassurance my teeth are healthy and will most likely stay in my mouth. Yay! Her hygienist is excellent at not only her cleaning techniques, but she also educates me about how to take better care of my teeth. Her dental assistant shines up my teeth and arms me with some new samples before sending me and my smile on the way. All of them are gentle, pleasant, and proficient at their jobs. As most people, I'm not a fan of going to the dentist. I've had a lot of negative experiences and now I can say I've had a great experience at a dental office! Dr. Zweber and her staff are all caring and professional people. I give a 4 star rating only because I'm not sure any dentist would get a 5. I still get anxious when I go but with kindness and smiles I calm down. Dr. Zweber did great cleaning my teeth and gave me new tips to care for my dental hygiene. I had to have a filling replaced due to a break in it and it was the quickest appointment that included anesthetic I'd ever had. Plus the injection was painless! After having two terrible dentists in town, I finally found the right one. For a person who is deathly afraid of needles, the dentist and her team do a fabulous job in calming my nerves. I know the work has to be done but the office climate makes my visit a great one. I just got my first implant and survived with little discomfort. I had a toothache that felt like a cavity, guess what? They are scheduling me this week to get it done. Also if you can't afford dental work, this team partners with a great organization. I have had a very poor experience with Cordota Dental Professionals, and I want everyone to beware of this business! They are not who you think they are! Definitely not "Professional". My children and I were patients of this business for many years. I missed 1 appointment, and they dropped me as a patient! 1 appointment! No warning at all! Wouldn't even let me pay a fee, for missing the appointment. Just dropped me, like yesterday's trash. It was very hurtful, since I had been a patient for many years. Then after this missed appointment, they sent me a bill for a previous appointment. I had asked them, after the last appointment, if I owed anything and they said, "no, it's all covered by your insurance". They could have said, there is a possibility that you will be billed later, but they said "no, you don't own anything". Then when I contacted them about this, they told me, that they don't have to tell me, if I could possibly get billed for something, prior to treatment. I don't even think this is legal. I probably should get a lawyer, but I don't have the time for that, but I do want you all to be wary of them! They are not "Professional" at all! I will continue to spread this information, in many forums. This is NOT how you treat patients, that put their full faith in you to take care of yourself and your family! My fiance came to this dentist for a first time visit to get a regular cleaning. Several months later he was charged $200 for a service that our dental insurance didn't cover, which the dentist apparently coded instead of a regular cleaning (and also didn't tell him about at any point during the cleaning or before sending him the bill). We called and talked to his previous dentist (in another state) about the situation and they confirmed that there should have been no need for the code that was used (a periodontal code for severely inflamed gums), that they've never noticed any problems with my fiance having severely inflamed gums at any of his past cleanings with them, and that the only time they've ever seen other facilities use that code it's to get extra money from patients (since insurance carriers don't normally cover it). We tried to call back and ask the billing department at Dr. Zweber's office to work with us and they basically said that they couldn't, and the most they could do was a 10% discount. While we appreciate the discount, there is a 0% of either of us ever going back to this dentist ever again. read more

Ive never had a dentist that took so much care. All the equipment they use is brand new and seems to be top of the line . 4 filings.. Literally no pain. Usually when I go to the dentist, the dentist insults my teeth and tells me I need 18 crowns. I know this is an oversell because I can go to another dentist and they tell me I need 5 crowns, on totally different teeth. Dr. Zweiber doesn't do this. She doesn't try to oversell you, she knows what things will cost even with your insurance, she's skilled and gives good advice. The only fault I can find is that this place plays country music. WHY do so many dentists play county? It's an epidemic. read more

This review is a long time coming. These guys are literally the best. Not only did Dr. Zweber save my sanity after fixing a super painful, broken infected tooth (an appointment which they worked in the next day because of the urgency of the situation), but it was one of the best customer experiences I've had anywhere. They set me up with a dental plan because I didn't have dental insurance, which greatly helped the cost of procedure. Dental insurance is still difficult to come by, so this was a huge service that Cordata Family Dentist offers. This is the first practice I've seen who does this, so I was astonished and so pleasantly surprised. The other fantastic part of the equation is that they have great dental technology to work with, and are super efficient at getting the job done. We all know how excruciating dental work can be, and the people at Cordata Family Dentistry make it seem like a breeze. Please learn from my mistake and choose another dentist. I spent hundreds of dollars on work just to have to go to another dentist to have it done right. I tried talking to Terri Zweber about it, but she refused to fix anything unless I paid in full again, even though it was her mistake. She was my dentist for 3 years. After an exam by other dentists they were appalled. Every single filling she did had to be redone, and yes I received a second and third opinion before paying to have everything fixed.
