Dr. Subedar, explained the process, and the end result was as good as could be. However, during the procedure, my cheek was abraded and 8 days later it is still swollen and sore. My dentist sent a complete x-ray on a thumb drive & I was told they could not read it & I had to have another. For which I was charged $124.00. What computer these days can't open a file. Lindsey who is in charge of finances was anything but clear. Since I do not have dental insurance I asked to negotiate the cost. Since I know that insurance companies pay just pennies on the dollar. I was able to negotiate a 10% discount, and it is their policy to give a 5% discount for cash. Agt the end of our negotiation I understood that I was to get a 10% discount and according to their policy I would get an additional 5% for paying cash. I paid cash. First, they could not give me change, so I had to wait until the follow-up visit and when I asked about the cash discount I was told that it was part of the 10%. The quote I received showed a 10% discount, and that was not broken down stating that it really was only a 5% discount. I feel that this way of dealing with patients who attempt to negotiate a better deal borders on Fraud.

I opted for full sedation. I spoke very briefly with Dr. Hughes before the procedure where he went over the plan and asked if I had any questions (I did not because I researched a lot at home!). The sedation helped a lot as someone with a lot of nerves at the dentist. I did not see Dr. Hughes after I was woken up, so I can't speak strongly to his bedside manner. I was immensely happy with the kindness of his dental assistants and the rest of the office staff.The extractions went really well, I had no dry socket and almost no pain. This experience tells me Dr. Hughes is very capable as an oral surgeon. I recommend opting for sedation if pain or fear is a factor for you!

He never numbed my gums with topical before shoving in the needle. I think thats his of 'disapproving' my choices. My wife needs an extraction in April 2025 and he has 'changed' his policy that all extractions are now under general and costing us $1,100 instead of $10 and an appointment is in May while in 10 out of 10 pain. He is the biggest scammer. We will be transferring to a new dentist ASAP. Everyone else at Bright Now was amazing, no ill will towards them!

The care has been excellent and I've got nothing but good to say about them. The front office staff is a different story. Trying to reach anyone to schedule an appointment is a challenge itself. If you do leave a message, be prepared to not get a return phone call. Most recently I left 4 voicemails to schedule my twice-annual cleaning and couldn't get anyone to call me back over the course of 4 months. In the last 3 years during the times I was able to get scheduled for an appointment they ran late every single time. I'd estimate my wait time to be at least 30 minutes beyond my scheduled time. Maybe this doesn't happen if you're first in the chair, but as the day wears on it seems they run further behind. Like I said, the hygienists and the two dentists are excellent, but dealing with the front office was unpleasant enough that I've decided to switch dental providers. There are enough great dental offices in town.... don't bother with these folks.
