Bo is quite an entertaining character as well as being an excellent dentist who explains everything. I have had great service from his gentle and patient hygienist and his office staff, to whom I have always felt like I was a real person and not simply a name on a chart or spreadsheet. I assume they'll be staying on. I'm guessing most of the gorgeous art books will go with Dr Bo, but the lobby will still be beautifully decorated and there's a harbor view from the chairs, or a home improvement channel on the overhead TV. Then I received a sizable bill for the balance of a simple checkup and cleaning and I come to find out they are "out of network". This was an omission at best and shady business practices at worst. I would have changed dentists had I known. PS-When I brought this up to them this is a text response I received from their office: "Justin, you are a responsible adult. You can do the responsible thing and pay your balance or let the account default. I have cancelled your next appointment and inactivated your account. You will receive a statement in the mail. each month until paid. Janet -Barkley Village Family Dentistry" There are great dentists and hygienists there, but don't bother going if you have Guardian insurance unless they tell you the cost upfront.
