I've never been one of those who hates a dentist office, but this practice is the first one I have positively loved. I am so sad for myself that Bo is retiring soon, but he has good things to say about the dentist who will be replacing him. Bo is quite an entertaining character as well as being an excellent dentist who explains everything. I have had great service from his gentle and patient hygienist and his office staff, to whom I have always felt like I was a real person and not simply a name on a chart or spreadsheet. I assume they'll be staying on. I'm guessing most of the gorgeous art books will go with Dr Bo, but the lobby will still be beautifully decorated and there's a harbor view from the chairs, or a home improvement channel on the overhead TV. I agree with the previous reviewer, Bo is the best dentist! He is skilled, patient, and has a great sense of humor. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hygienists are great. I love the waiting area, with it's lovely couches and interesting books. When my mom came in once, he personally brought her a cup of tea to make her more comfortable. This dentist rocks! I was in Friday Harbor for a week when a chipped tooth lost its composite repair-piece. Bo was able to get me an appointment the next day, an he and his staff were very friendly and personable. Their witty banter was good enough to keep me from iPoding out during the procedure, and they also have TVs (with attached Xboxes!) on the ceiling above the chair if you need more distraction from your mouth action. Best of all, all the service and plush surroundings didn't inflate the bill -- the price was within 20 bucks of the other quote I got over the phone! Score! read more

The office and staff are amazing at this dentist. I am always moving and therefore always trying new dentists and this was by far the best dentist I have ever been to. The office is amazing - reminded me of an art gallery not a medical facility. The staff were welcoming, informative, and fun to be around.
