I continue to go to Sound Dentistry because I get treated so well. And, in the midst of COVID, their facility has been upgraded with safe separated plexiglass-walled dental exam areas, extra PPE for staff, plexiglass exam guards, and a vacuum system to make sure that air-borne particles are HEPA filtered. And, every staff member continues to make me feel comfortable and cared for. I really like how my hygienist Alyssa, explains what is happening, she is gentle, professional, and she shares specific feedback about my oral hygiene. Alyssa is the best. Drs. Kari and Nick are kind, knowledgeable, and very patient-friendly. This dental office is excellent. I'm used to great dental care from my years in Los Angeles. My experience at Sound Dentistry in Anacortes supersedes my experience in LA. They are modern, current, up to date. I have yet to experience any pain at their office. My hygienist is excellent, friendly, and wonderful at her job. I've been a patient for 3 years now. Arriving in Anacortes, we did our usual due diligence, and were so very fortunate to find Sound Dentistry. The staff in every corner and touchpoint of the office is outstanding in what they do. And in this time of COVID-19, the office has shown their professionalism to be ever so top-notch. The facility has also been stepped-up to be the gold-standard. High tech electronic specialty air purifiers are everywhere. In my 2 visits for hygiene appointments the past 12 months, I have seen them obtain additional safeguards as the latest devices have become available. They have an excellent office staff and team of hygienists. Doctor Nick is great at kindly explaining any areas for improvement and making sure all your questions are answered. He takes his time after the hygienist has done her work, even though the place is full of patients. They are an efficient practice and I highly recommend him to anyone. The office is clean, everyone is friendly, and they invest in the latest technology in oral healthcare. That's not something every dentist does. Drs Nick and Kari are just fantastic. I don't love going to the dentist, but I do love going here! Everyone was super friendly. My tooth cleaning was thorough and pretty fast! X-rays were easy, and it was nice to see them displayed instantly on a screen right next to me. Dr Kari took her time explaining to me what she was seeing. I had a cavity filled and was so relieved to find that they use a newer version of a dental dam / bite block. It's so much more comfortable, and it does the suction as well! It was so much faster to put in and take out (like, ten seconds). STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! After waiting over 18 months for a dental appointment because I was not comfortable having someone in my face/mouth during a pandemic, I finally got in to see the Dentists at Sound Dentistry. I filled out the required questionnaires months ago. Told them how safe I was and that I was vaccinated. I watched their website videos on how careful they were being. I observed their request to wear a mask and arrived for my appointment. That's when they told me "they" are not vaccinated!!! What?? These are doctors, right? They understand science, not magic, right? Guess not. I have to ask, if they won't get vaccinated, what other risky behavior are they participating in? I don't think anyone really likes the dentist, but i do like this office. The appointments always start on time or early, and the dentists and assistants are attentive and don't leave you alone for long periods. I'm happy with the dental work and the team remembers you and gives you feedback on your teeth over time. I highly recommend them! read more

I have been putting off seeing a Dentist for a long time due to a bad experience at a different dentist. I finally decided I needed to go and decided to give this place a try. I am so glad I did. I had a bit of anxiety going in, and the lady that took my Xrays and pictures was very sweet and patient with me. Dr. Wilson went over my treatment plan with me and explained everything to me in detail and it seemed like he genuinely cared about health and experience as well. I went back today for a deep cleaning and the hygentist made sure I was comfortable and not in any discomfort whatsoever. She was also very sweet and patient with me. The ladies in the front of the office are also very sweet. The entire staff is so friendly and upbeat. It's rare to see that. Overall, great experience....and I'm not afraid to go back! I was in town for only a short while with my husband for work but needed dental work done because some of my fillings from when I was younger were starting to fall apart. I called Dr. Nick's office and told them of my time constraints and they got me in right away. All of the staff were extremely friendly and seemed to show a genuine interest on what my needs were and how they could help me with them. The only complaint I would have is that I constantly travel and can't have Dr. Nick and his counterparts as my full time care providers. read more

I just got back from there. Nick and Kari are both really nice... But, their assistant, Brandi, does NOT do a good job. She must have just started or something because she's an amateur. I regularly go and get a thorough cleanse on my teeth and she kept jabbing me with all the sharp instruments and was going REALLY FAST when she flossed my teeth. I probably bled at least 5 times; and she didn't even really cleanse my teeth with the green stuff. :/ Their older, other assistant is really good. read more

While visiting family in Anacortes on Christmas Day my husband developed a severe toothache. Too far to return home we were given Nick Wilsons name and was told he MIGHT be open the day after Christmas. We found his office and it was closed but had an emerency number posted on door. Not only did he come down and open his door within 15 minutes , he xrayed and pulled tooth.....at no additional charge !!!!!! I've gone here since July and gotten nothing done about the tooth I came for, but did get a crown on one tooth that now hurts, even tho it didn't hurt for the 8 months it only had a build up on it. If you are not wanting to have to go to a dentist and pay for a complete exam and cleaning before they will see you, I have found the place! Sea-Mar clinic!!!! They were able to help me the first visit and I got in the day I wanted to be seen by waiting for a no-show. The dentist there is excellent and actually hears what you say. Anyone want more info on either of these dentists fell free to call me at 406-212=7299. Also they won't give me back the x-rays that I brought to them from Dr. Huntsinger.
