Had a deep cleaning session. They used a topical local anesthesia and I experienced zero pain. Great job.

We're located in downtown Anacortes at 901 8th St. Its about a 10 minute drive from the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Some of our island patients use Mert's Taxi service 360-708-6358 if they don't want to drive a car onto the ferry.

I really appreciate that Drs Nick and Kari use up-to-date equipment, their office feels so "modern" compared to other dentists I've been to.

First, I want to shout out the dental hygienists, because I have never had a bad experience with a…read moresimple cleaning! They've all been kind, friendly, and gentle. The receptionists have always been very nice, as well. Unfortunately, I have not had the same experiences with Dr. Rowley. I had some dental issues that required me to get a bridge over three teeth. A different dentist (no longer there) installed it. For 2-3 years afterward, I complained of sensitivity in the area each time I went in, and was told that was normal and it would go away. Finally got an X-ray and it showed that the dentist had incorrectly placed the bridge, leaving a gap exposing nerves. Now, I am thankful that Dr. Rowley didn't charge me to replace it--however, the issue could have been resolved years prior if I had been taken seriously! When I went in to have the bridge replaced, I was not numb enough. The pain was awful and when I asked for more anesthetic, I was given so much that my tongue, mouth, and entire lower half of my face was numb for two days. After covid, I returned to have a cavity filled, and brought this up--I was told I'd be fine, but they'd numb me extra if it'd make me feel better. Cool. Again, I was numb for about a day and a half, which was way longer than necessary. Sorry I didn't want dental pain, I guess? Anyway, Dr. Rowley dropped me as a patient because she was overcharging my father for cleanings, and he dared to bring it up! So I got dropped, even though I was twenty-eight years old and on my own insurance plan. Guess she did me a favor, even though Bayside is the only dentist in Anacortes that takes my insurance. But I'd rather pay out of pocket or make the trip out of town than be treated like that ever again.

The relaxed happy ambience throughout the office reflects Dr. Rowleys' well honed leadership skills. A well cared for and happy staff is obvious in the high level of kindness in patient care. Each aspect of my appointment, from scheduling as a new patient through treatments (Dental Exam, X-Rays, Hygiene and a filling) was clearly discussed. I had a 45 year career working in many areas of health care including dentistry, this dental office is STELLAR. Thank you for a wonderful dental care experience!

Five stars for a dentist?? Yes! and I would give him Charlie Collins six if they would allow me…read more Dr. Collins is my dentist's dentist; so we are off to a good start. My fantastic dentist of 25 years retired, so I needed another winner; and thankfully Charlie had space to take me on. I cannot exaggerate all of his fine qualities, starting with friendly, communicative and gentle; followed by the most important: Fine Quality Work. Charlie did a complete makeover of my old worn down teeth. He had to do a lot of creative problem solving. At every single turn I can say he took the extra time and went the extra mile to get it right. I have new appreciation for dental work in general, and what sets a dentist leagues above others. I ended up with a whole new smile, but it feels completely natural because the bite is perfect. Charlie has positive interactions with his staff, and he makes an effort to work with other dentists in the region. My oral surgeon ( Dr Bal) and my orthodontist ( Dr Halgren) were all in communication about the big project of my makeover. I appreciate professionals who consult with each other in the interest of the best outcome for the patient. Also I have to add, when I had a question on a Friday afternoon about my temporary crown I texted Charlie and he offered to come in Saturday morning to take a look. Now that's above and beyond. I hate dental work but Charlie was gentle, and now that its all over I have to say it was worth every minute in the chair, and every penny spent. Thank you Charlie and Staff!!

I have gone to plenty of dentists in my life. This was the first time I didn't feel embarrassed or…read morejudged. My teeth weren't doing so well and I really needed them to be worked on. John didn't push any work and let me make the decisions about my teeth that worked for me. He was very vocal about what he was doing and what I was to expect during the whole process. He did a bunch of work in one visit and fixed the rest on my next. I am so grateful because my past experiences with dentists were terrible. I have overcrowding and he didn't push braces on me or anything. It was nice because I don't want braces, I know my teeth aren't straight and I like them. He's the first dentist to not even suggest them. I love the art on the wall and the Sinatra on the radio. It helped calmed my nerves. I will definitely be returning for cleanings. He fixed everything in my mouth in 2 visits! My other dentist would only do one thing at a time and the wait list was months. So, I'm very surprised that he helped me so quickly and now my mouth feels amazing.

Absolutely best dentist ever. I had feared dental work for…read moreover a decade and I knew my teeth were in poor shape. Due to an unfortunate diagnosis of cancer I was told that if I was going to have any dental work done I need to have it done fast. The staff did an amazing job and got me in quickly and what I thought would be a quick screening/ x-ray process only....he had my teeth cleaned x-rayed and 4 fillings done all in one session with no pain or discomfort. The following week I was scheduled have one tooth extracted before I started my radiation sessions. Other than the ten 10-15 minutes it took to have the novocaine set in, from the time he started working on my tooth until it was pulled was probably less than a minute and again absolutely no pain or discomfort. I was eating dinnet within a few hours. I absolutely recommend this Dr Huntsinger to anyone needing Dental Care
