Chipped a bridge and was able to get in right away. The Dr. was excellent, just smoothed out the rough spot. Unlike other places the Dr. looked at the chip first and didn't gouge me for unnecessary X-rays since it was very minor. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I would exercise extreme caution with this dental office. They do not confirm allergies or do a true informed consent before fillings. I was told by my oral surgeon that I should ask for a crown exchange due to the crown being too small to fill the gap between teeth, but the provider here said that she wouldn't recommend that due to it 'being expensive' and that I should go the cheaper route of filling a perfectly healthy tooth to fill the gap between my crown and the tooth next door. The provider also told me a lot about what she would do if she was the patient, which isn't informed consent. They did not confirm my allergies or tell me what was being injected for numbing. I don't know what anesthetic was used, but I was numb from my eyelid down to my collarbone for hours after the procedure. They also did not go over thoroughly the benefits, risks, alternatives, and what would happen if I deferred treatment before a filling on a natural and unaffected tooth. Had I known how much enamel the provider was going to drill off, I would've never consented to the treatment. They also didn't say that I should expect sensitivity for weeks to months afterwards prior to the procedure but told me afterwards. I also felt like the provider was distracted during the procedure. I consider not checking allergies and not having informed consent or assigned consent form a major breach of safety and ethical practice. I have already spoken to the manager about this, but I will be getting a second opinion and taking my care elsewhere because I don't believe I'll be getting ethical care here. read more

People moving around, loud music, voices calling out, many techs and assistants walking around. I prefer a calmer environment for a dental office. Had to find another one. read more

I think there are competent dentists at Alpine. Most of the staff are courteous and efficient. I've recently stopped using Alpine dental partly because I was called by the manager to tell me my behavior was inappropriate. I had come because a crown applied six months ago was getting more and more sensitive. The dentist told me the tooth was fine and allayed my worry that I would need to spend thousands for a root canal. I was so relieved that I made a silly joke to make him laugh. The joke was inappropriate, and the dentist should have said so. Instead, he seemed to accept my apology and that was that. Given that I've sent thousands for services, they might excuse foolishness that was clearly not intended to offend. More importantly, as the tooth became even more painful, the pain was so bad that my whole face was tender, I called to talk about it. The doctor's advice to put Sensidine on it wasn't working. The doctor wasn't available and didn't feel the need to call me back. I went to a different clinic for a root canal. I am pretty sure that the dentist knew I would need a root canal - He just didn't want to be the one to tell me. The call from the office and the call that didn't come undermined my trust. read more

I miss appointments occasionally as I loose track of time, I have ADHD and it is some thing I have dealt with my entire life. I try and do things to prevent it from happening but some times it just does. Lecturing me about missing an appointment is not going to change my behavior and is only going to piss me off. Worst dentist I've ever been to. Cut my gum so deeply that they damaged the bone and it took 6 weeks for the dead piece of bone to work it's way out of my gum. They tried to tell me it wasn't a cut, but a canker sore and would be fine in a day or two. Could not be more disappointed. read more

My husband has been trying to get me to switch over to his dental office for so long and I finally went yesterday, got the most thorough cleaning by the sweetest hygienist, Kim! My teeth and gums feel amazing and even though Kim warned me that I may be sore the next day, I feel nothing but clean polished teeth! Dr. Chaz was also thorough and friendly and so was the dental assistant Clarissa! I was relieved to know that my mouth was in way better shape then I thought! Yay! Made an appointment for my daughter, who was visiting Wa. , to have a tooth looked at and I was told, when making the appointment, that if filling was needed they would fill it at the same appointment. I received a text message about my insurance at 4 pm., just a day before my next early morning appointment. Before the procedure, I handed my insurance card. The receptionist on the 2nd building didn't say anything but after the procedure, she told me my insurance is out of network and charged me almost $150.00 I wish the staff would have just called instead of texting. The staff here is great. I've never had to wait very long to get through to the front desk, and they are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling. I do not have dental insurance and have been very pleased with their alpine plan. Dr. Patel is very personable and has great bedside manner. Sad commentary for Alpine Dental. Had nothing but good experience with them till I received a bill for $100. I had a flipper installed and told the price included one free adjustment after which is commom. As is common the bone structure changes after teeth are removed so the flipper no longer fit. The person that does adjustments told me he thought he would have to do work on the flipper that would cost dollars. I told him that I did not want to spend any money and that I would use my drimmel and plyers at home if that was the case. He proceeded to use a drimmel and plyers right there and made the flipper fit. I appreciated that he did that and thanked him. After receiving the bill I called and talked to the office manager. She said that since I waited past a certain date that according to the chart I owed that amount. I asked her do you offer free adjustments with the flipper or not. She said yes. I asked then why are you billing me. She said because I had gone past a certain date. I told her no one ever indicated any date restrictions. To me one free adjustment is just that. She did finally decide to drop the charge after much discussion. I found her to be dismissive and lacking much in the way of professional customer relations. read more

I will tell you about my experience here. 1. I went here to get a tooth pulled out that was hurting. 2. I seen dentist Makker he pulled 2 teeth out 3. I had so much pain afterwards and for days little pieces size of rice came out like 15 and my tooth the one he pulled hurt so I thought wrong tooth or I had another bad one so I went back had another pulled (which could of easily be fix) he said but the pain I said pull it...He scrapped and scraped and hurt me so bad I could not stand it, so many shots I was numb beyond, plus his assistant pushed my check out so hard it took days to feel better, she hit my nose and was so frigin rough..so finally it was over I went home it hurt and hurt and hurt for days. I called and told receptionist that it was killing me and Makker hurt me I wanted to never see him again. She made me app with dr Patel who had an attitude when I went in, but he took an exray and then told me its fine just deep no problem takes awhile to heel, I wanted him to adjust my partial he crammed it in never adjusted it (I haven't wore it since) because it don't work now!! then I went home still in pain pain and 2 weeks later in the middle of the night I felt that feeling of a new tooth coming through like the other 15 pieces, which I would wiggle my tongue and they came out amazing how many times.....but this was different, this time my tongue kept wiggling it and moving it, finally I pulled it out with my fingers.. wow I woke my husband and look at this I swear it was part of my jaw bone!!! it felt so good to be out...that was the whole problem. well I will post what it looks like a big slab wth I say....... so if you want this just go there I am done...I payed cash and lots to just be put into pain!! Now I have to find another dentist and get another exam and I still have 2 teeth to pull... Up to you to go here........treaty badly all the way around. I really can't say enough about Alpine Dental. I've recently met both Dr Patel and Dr Gallant via word of mouth. Both are a HUGE step up from any of the local dental agencies I have worked with. Dr Patel met me for my consult a few weeks ago and today Dr. Gallant performed my first round of dental amazingness. He really was a total rockstar! He filled/repaired at least dozen gum line cosmetic fillings, sanded down chipped teeth, did a root canal, and crown prep in under 3 hours. Pain was minimal and numbing wore off in just a few hours. His demeanor was excellent and he kept his pace in line with my reactions. More importantly what I wanted...mattered. I felt that I was heard. I switched to Alpine Dental based on a neighbor's raving review and now I'm adding mine as well. As a new patient, paperwork/xrays were scheduled at 1:45pm in early December, then dental exam with Chaz Vittitow, DMD at 2:00pm and cleaning at 3:00pm with Cynthia all in the same afternoon. Each was handled comfortably and professionally. A pinpoint camera showed me on the screen exactly where the concerns were - high tech! It was determined that some fillers were needed, I agreed to the work, and it was scheduled straightway a couple weeks later. I was Not looking forward to it as I'd had similar work done by a La Conner dentist in June that was painful, uncomfortable and left my gums bruised and sore for four days. With Dr. Vittitow and Cynthia, the experience was night and day improvement - took only 45 minutes and after the numbness wore off, my mouth felt completely normal - just in time for Christmas caramel corn! To begin, I get very anxious at the dentist...even just cleanings. I've been through a few in Bellingham over the last few years. I decided to give Alpine Dental a try since it is closer to home, they had good reviews and they have late weekday and Saturday appointments so I don't have to take time off work. Firstly, I appreciated all the persistent reminders via text & phone, as I can always use reminders! The day of my appointment, they called to say I could come in earlier due to a cancellation, which I appreciated. Second, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The office space is nice, clean, modern and calming. Thirdly, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with their high tech and non-evasive x-ray equipment. I have a small mouth and always dread getting x-rays, but it was a cinch! The cleaning went great, the hygienist was impressively knowledgeable (at first I thought she was the dentist). My mouth is usually quite sore after a cleaning, but this time it wasn't, but I could tell it was a very thorough job, done with gentle finesse. Then I met Dr. Patel, who I liked immediately. He was so personable and explained my treatment plan well and gave me sensible options. I actually look forward to interacting with them all again on my next visit (& I'm an introvert...lol.) Dr. Patel is affordable and he pretty much takes every insurance. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for! He miss diagnosed my dental problem. But, wait! The dentists that work for him are even worse! You can tell a lot about a business owner by the attitude of his employees. In this case I haven't met a happy person who works for him.
