Sadly, this was all officially diagnosed on a Friday which, apparently, is NOT a great day to need a root canal. So, after an intense and agonizing weekend of pain meds and lots of pudding, I was more than happy to show up at Dr. Burry's office that Monday morning for my procedure. Yes, that's right, I was actually looking FORWARD to a root canal! Dr. Burry's staff was so sweet and understanding with me. They could tell I was in immense pain, and were super gentle and compassionate as they evaluated and confirmed the tooth infection, as well as gave me a 3D xray to make sure the tooth wasn't cracked. Thank goodness it wasn't, and the procedure was able to move forward. They were also able to bill my insurance directly, and even let me know in advance how much I would be expected to pay out of pocket. There is nothing fun about a root canal. But Dr. Burry and his team kept checking in on me throughout the procedure to make sure I was okay. When it was over, they let me know I'd probably be sore for a few more days (spoiler alert: I was), and sent me on my way to recover at home. I'm so thankful that Dr. Burry was able to get me in so quickly. The only thing that would have made this experience better would have been if he was open on weekends! I hope there isn't another root canal in my future anytime soon, but if there is I will happily return to Skagit Endodontics.

However the doctor and his staff were kind, understanding, professional and treated me with dignity and respect. In fact, that initial visit has changed my life forever. Dr. Wyman was not able to initially pull my tooth due to my blood pressure. I was referred to another doctor about my HBP and was diagnosed right away and put on medication to stabilize and control my blood pressure. I was also placed on a diet (keto diet) that I can stick to and as of this review I have lost 35 lbs! The next time I visited Dr. Wynman he successfully pulled my tooth with no pain or complications. He has a very gentle and steady hand with that needle. I felt so comfortable with him and his staff that I came back for more work and dental cleaning. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

However, this doctor didn't do any xrays, and at my husband's insistence, he found Dr. Kanning who saw me right away and insisted on an x-ray. Then the dentist came in and used the sonic tool on me. NO scaling!! Everything was backwards. SB X-rays, cleaning with sonic tool then scale then floss. Then the dentist shows you a plan!! They want to use amalgam for the fillings I need! It's bad for your health! Nobody uses it!! I just moved here from San Diego where I had a great dentist. One dentist! This place is a dentist mill! A corridor with at least 15 rooms with dental chairs. I'm pretty sure you don't see the same dentist more than once! I sent a message asking for pertinent information regarding my visit. This office is clean, Gaylen has assisted helpfully at front desk thus far, scheduling is easy, and the actual procedure was prompt. The five stars goes to the teamwork of Suha and Dr. Shin. Providing a review to specifically emphasize how impressed I was with their teamwork. As a patient, I really appreciate having a pair of people who easily work together, and provide comfort to the experience. Suha naturally is a comforting person, and Dr Shin appears to know his stuff, and quickly execute. Although my case seems particularly hard to reach, they ensured me all was good for the future, and the office will see me in 8 ish months to ensure all is looking good. (Included in price of procedure) I hope to find additionally that my insurance does cover some of the cost. However am waiting to see how that portion plays out.
