Needless to say I was a little disappointed in the candy selection here. They did have a pretty decent variety of candy but some of the more popular candies were not available here (M&M's, Snickers, Reese's, Skittles, Kit Kat). Besides the candy options (variety of candy by the pound, Air Heads, Nerds, Blow Pops, Warheads, etc), they serve gelato. I sampled the strawberry cheescake gelato and it was delicious. The store clerk was nice and talkative. I ended up getting two Route 66 magnets and five candies. Total was $36. A little pricey to me. (Cheddar, caramel, jalapeño, strawberry, garlic Parmesan, and Twix) They make their popcorn there in house. They also sell the fancy popcorn kernels for popping your own at home. And I do mean fancy: we had very few kernel shell pieces when eating these. It's very different from eating the microwave popcorn. People with orthodontics who love popcorn would probably appreciate this. There's not much to say about ambiance. It's a walk in, walk out kind of place. We highly recommend. I'm pretty sure the rustic appeal enhances their food, because it was delicious! The friendliness of their staff made me want to order more than originally planned. Can I say anything more positive? Yes! I got their blue and gold chicken tenders. It came with their homemade chips and potato salad. If they weren't out of the 3-bean salad, I would have gotten a side of that as well. If y'all aren't feeling any of those sides, they also offer fries (a mixture of traditional fries and sweet potato fries) or a side salad for an additional $1. Dipping sauces include ranch, honey mustard and a Korean bbq! You will eat the entire basket. Don't try to convince yourself you're not hungry. Get the regular size or the large. Leave the Jr for the kids! Pleasantly satisfying without a heavy feel that most fried food brings. If you're looking for a eating tip, I suggest using the homemade chips as a spoon with the potato salad. The combination of textures and flavors is divine! I know you're thinking, is this really a food truck or a 5 star restaurant? I'm going to say maybe both haha. Give them a shot! They will impress you in more ways than one!
