This place is awesome!!! If you want a treat you can share (or not!) it's here. Savory, sweet, sour, crunchy, fizzy (did I mention the bevy of specialty sodas?), gooey, they've got it! Even if it something as rainbow colored popcorn kernels to surprise folks when you bring the bowl in from the kitchen. It doesn't matter how much or how little you want to spend, you'll leave feeling spoiled. I stopped in the other day after (!!!) visiting Dr. Nathan Guilford, D.D.S. just next door. (No joke. I went into a candy shop after having visited the dentist. It's actually a thing I do fairly often. Oy.) Love that this company has purchased Sweet Prairie Home Fudge Company, and is making top quality confections under the SPHFC name. (I purchased an eggnog truffle from this new line and was singularly impressed by its creaminess, richness, and prudent use of nutmeg. Growing up, my grandmother always had a large bucket containing three different kinds of popcorn at her house around the holidays. Today, thinking of her, my car just sort of inexplicably drove itself to Kernels & Kandies. There's one other popcorn shop in town that I know of, but they are not very friendly. This was basically the exact opposite. They were friendly, fast, and carried my three buckets of popcorn out to my car for me. I'm giving all three of these as gifts, but in order to pen a review I felt I needed to try the popcorn, so I got a mini-bag of kettle for myself to enjoy as I finish up my last few errands. I can tell you, it was perfect. Oh, the *sacrifices* I make to bring you all these reviews! Lol. This place was awesome. We got there about 20 minutes before they closed and they weren't going to be open for a few days after that so they were out of a couple things I was looking forward to trying. I wanted the extra cheesy popcorn but they only had cheddar, but it was still very cheesy and delicious! It's messy so have a napkin ready. I will definitely go back for the extra cheesy and the mac and cheese. The peanut butter chocolate and almond toffee are amazing too. I liked all of them, but the white cheddar was saltier than the others. The truffles we got were a chocolate fudge, strawberry (or raspberry, some kind of fruity flavor?), chocolate, salted caramel, and a marshmallow caramel. The marshmallow caramel was amazing. The salted caramel was my next favorite. I could easily eat a dozen of those two. We got five kinds of fudge: Butterfinger, peanut butter chocolate, toffee, regular fudge, and peanut butter. The peanut butter was the best. I will be going back frequently so I can try every single flavor or popcorn! If you're in a wheelchair, the railing by the door can make it awkward trying to get in. read more

There is an eclectic blend of candies and goodies besides the unbelievable assortment of delicious popcorn flavors. Okay, I was really skeptical about a place like this. Don't ask me why. It simply prematurely fell into the "uh why" area of my mind. But today Jeff and I were out and about, and he wanted Qdoba, which is right next to K&K. For some reason, I got an itch to check it out. The shop is small, but what it does have is interesting, familiar, and new. They have candies I've never seen before with a smaller assortment of run of the mill candies. And there is a little island for different candies you buy by the pound (or less, of course), such as rock candy, jelly beans, different sorts of chocolates, gummy candies, etc. Not to mention the interesting pops (like Pop's but a smaller selection), which I got a pineapple/orange called Kitty Piddle and another one that is cranberry/cherry. I was eyeing the fudge and truffles but decided to reign it in for the day. It did look delicious, though. The size to price ratio seems fair to me. I tasted all the popcorn I bought (cheddar, white chocolate pretzel) and also what my boyfriend bought (jalapeño cheddar, hot and spicy) and that is some quality popcorn. It isn't stiff and completely artificial tasting like you get in the popcorn tins in supermarkets. All the information for prices and sizing are out in clear view and available in laminated paper on the counter, as well as exact sizing and prices on the website. At the end of the day, I left with the two pops, two bags of popcorn (cheddar and white chocolate pretzel, respectively), and a Warheads candy (like a Baby Bottle Pop). I spent a certain amount of money (I think... $11?) so they tossed in a bag of buttery popcorn for free, and since I hit $20, I was also entered to win a basket. So that's neat! read more

This place is a true gem. You would never find it unless you're looking for it because it's tucked away in the shopping center. I came here to buy popcorn as a gift for a true popcorn lover and the person I gave it to, loved it! If a popcorn lover approves, that's how I know I have found a keeper. I bought the caramel pecan popcorn in a size medium. Their medium should be called XXLarge because it's a giant bag! You won't regret it. I want to come back to get my own popcorn and try their fudge. They have a nice selection of candies and sodas (including the butterbeer, from Harry Potter!). Easily the best popcorn I've had. The cheese popcorns (there are many flavors) do not disappoint. Make sure you've got a napkin or you'll have orange fingers. If your looking for a killer combo, mix the dill pickle and spicy buffalo flavors. The caramel popcorn is really unique. It has a great crunch! If you miss the way Cracker Jack once was (lots of peanuts) get the caramel peanut here! During the holidays they have a peppermint flavor that is addictive. I think it uses a white chocolate base. Portion to value ratio is a good value. While you're there, try some fudge and peep their candy and soda selection. If you ever see the red velvet fudge out, buy it. read more

First time here tonight. Staff was very friendly. I love, love, love popcorn! I have had Garrett popcorn at airport in Chicago and I fell in love with the Garrett mix. This place has the closest mix called Chicago I've ever had that compares to Garretts. Their popcorn here is fresh and they have a great variety of flavors and candy. This place will go above and beyond for you! We live in Texas and our daughter attends OU. Her birthday is today (10/18/2017) and I wanted to send her a gift box. I couldn't find anything locally in Norman so I contacted Ron at Kernals and Kandies in OKC at the very last minute on Tuesday, 10/17/2017 around 5:15pm, to help me put a gift box together for my daughter's birthday. Within 30 minutes, we had everything ordered and paid, and he delivered it to my daughter in Norman the next morning! Our daughter was thrilled with the gift box and all the goodies that came inside!
