Very disappointing experience and even more disappointing customer service afterward…read more My sister and I specifically requested deep tissue massages with quiet technicians, one therapist talked loudly the entire 90-minute session about inappropriate personal topics that could be heard through the walls. My own therapist was chewing a throat lozenge during the massage and even dropped it on me. I was charged for a deep tissue massage even though the therapist confirmed she performed a Swedish massage. We were forced to overtip because the front desk didn't have change. This was our second bad experience here, last time the tech scrubbed so hard we left bleeding. Kim the owner promised to investigate and call me back, she never followed up despite my emails and calls. No resolution, no accountability. We will never be back

The front desk girl is clueless. the place smell like mold and old furniture, it looks old and dark like you walk into a thrift store. I'm sharing this review to be transparent for future clients. I left a pair of sunglasses at the spa and informed them that I would return to pick them up after I had recurve a call or text that I had left them behind. As I was traveling for a few weeks. When I finally had a chance to stop by I was face with disregard, then I finally called since I didn't hear from the owner about a month later, I was told they had been discarded. Unfortunately, there was no notice given, and the conversation felt more argumentative than understanding. These sunglasses were sentimental to me, and while I understand that businesses may have policies, I was disappointed by the lack of care and communication around a client's personal belongings. This experience affected my trust and overall impression of customer care. A month is not enough to trow customer belongings away without calling them first and assuring that they'll stop by to pick them up and assume that they'll just be forgotten. This is not so much about the sentimental value of the sunglasses but about being respected and treated with dignity. I hate to have to leave a bad review for them as is sometimes I almost never like to do but given her mannerism and demeanor I cat let this happen to another person and to our community.

My mother and I had the pleasure of having facials and massages at Mary's sun-filled cottage…read moredirectly adjacent to the Lavender Inn. This was the first time that I had ever gotten a facial before. It was a treat. The experience was not only rejuvenating but also informative. I learned a lot about the importance of sun protection and how to best care for my skin. Mary put the most soothing and cooling sea algae mask on me. My skin was (and still is) glowing after my treatment. Kali then gave me my Swedish body massage. Her knowledge about different body systems and modalities was extensive. I left feeling lighter and more at ease. She even gave me some tips on how best to alleviate pain in my wrist due to ongoing carpal tunnel syndrome that I've been experiencing. We were in such good hands with Mary and Kali.

Ann is a miracle worker! I've had so many massages in my day--probably in the hundreds--and I've…read morenever had a treatment from a fascia professional. She knew exactly where in my shoulders and back that I needed the most relief and put forth so much energy into releasing all of my built-up tension. When she initially said she has been a massage therapist for 40 years, I thought that for sure the exhaustion would have worn out her hands even just slightly, but I was completely wrong. She has more power and intensity in her body than anyone I've ever met. I knew Ann meant business when I mentioned having music or ocean waves on in the background, and she said I needed to concentrate and meditate. I've never had a silent massage, but then again, I've never had a massage quite like this before. I also liked that she put the control in my hands and emphasized that I'm running the show with what feels good and what doesn't. One hour was most certainly not enough time...though here I am, three days later, and the soreness (in a hurt-so-good way) of my Friday massage just kicked in! So I can only imagine with 90 minutes how I would be feeling! My friend had scheduled a facial with Mary at the same time and enjoyed her treatment as well. In fact, our self-care sessions were probably the highlight of our first-ever Lavender Festival weekend experience. Also, keep in mind that if you book at least a week in advance of your Lavender Inn & Spa reservation, you get 10% off services!

The massage was exactly what I was hoping for. Not too hard. Very relaxing. Soft touches on your forehead with a cool mask over your eyes to help you relax even more. She used hot rocks which at first I was afraid was going to burn like hell, but she cooled them slightly to perfection. Her foot massage was fantastic. I wish it could have lasted longer. She worked on my neck and shoulders much longer which was still wonderful. The oils and scents she uses are so fragrant, and great smelling. Affordably priced. Many choices of services. Reservations required. Easy to find. I would definitely recommend this place for a great massage.

I've been needing a massage and after reading all the great reviews I called and was able to…read moreschedule a same day appointment. I usually get a deep tissue massage and didn't know what a Thai massage so had to look it up. The internet indicated you remain fully dressed so I inquired about what clothing to wear, and was told that you actually get undressed. I was greeted upon arrival. After signing the forms they provided a pair of slippers to change into, and led me to a room. I requested the Thai combo massage, which incorporates Thai and deep tissue massage. The masseuse asked what pressure I wanted, and I requested hard pressure. I also mentioned my shoulders were extra tense. At times it felt like the masseuse was building up the pressure because in the beginning I didn't feel the pressure much and then I would feel more pressure. Some of the stretching positions felt a little odd, definitely need some getting used to. At the one hour mark, I extended the session to 90 minutes and mentioned to do more work on my back since my shoulders were still tense. Overall it was a good experience. I did feel some relief but I had hoped she focused more on my shoulders since I did mention that it was tense. I think for my tense shoulders I may need to stick with deep tissue massage since I feel that does tend to loosen up the muscles more. Parking is in the back, the entrance is there as well.
