I really wanted to love Ojai Massage, especially because we were able to book a same-day massage…read morefor 2 people, which is hard to do on a holiday weekend! I thought their online sign up flow was great. Once we arrived, the waiting room of the space smelled great, was very relaxing and we were greeted by one of our masseuse's. They also welcomed another couple out from the end of their massage and were super chatty with them so we had to wait a little bit which wasn't a big deal. We decided to do a joint couples 60-min deep tissue massage. I felt like my experience was very positive with Michelle - she got into all the nooks and crannies that I desperately needed worked out and it was an overall very positive experience for me. However, my husband didn't feel like his massage was as deep tissue as he would like. He was asked if the pressure was good and he did ask for it firmer but he said that after 30 seconds, the pressure went back to the same and that it just felt like a full body rub down instead of true deep tissue work. Overall the space is nice, it was very relaxing and calming and I felt satisfied but I was disappointed to leave and to have my husband feel like he didn't really get a good massage or experience.

This was THE BEST MASSAGE I had experienced in all year. First of all, the heated adjustable massage chair/bed thing was amazing. I had never felt so comfortable and supported, and was happy to not have to lie flat with my face squished into a hole. I was amazed how professional and knowledgeable Angela was. She seemed to do very little to my body to dissolve away the tensions and pains. Most masseurs use repetition - over and over again on a tense spot. By contrast, Angela seemed to know precisely what to do so she only had to do it once or twice. At the end of the hour I felt like a new person, and she also offered some helpful stretching advice. Highly recommended. Note that only venmo/zelle are accepted. No credit cards.

I've been waiting for the opportunity to do it since my double lung transplant on April 16, 2023. I feel incredible because I just got my first full body massage and foot massage at a place that's only 2 miles away from our condo! #RelaxFootMassage which evidently used to be called Happy Feet, was spotless, which of course was my main item I was looking for obviously since I'm immunosuppressed. You keep your clothes on, you're in the back where there are multiple beds in there where they keep the lights on dim and lovely spa music playing. Lisa started on my back and yes, she had a very heavy touch which I can't handle at all. I just don't like it because I'm too sensitive. But as soon as I got her to have the right touch for me, it was pure heaven! She asked a few times if I was OK because she knew that when she first started, it was too rough for me. One of the times I realized she woke me up by asking it. Yes, it was THAT incredibly comfortable. I then caught myself once I turned over starting to snore. I woke up to the sound of my own snore! I'm sure I wasn't the only one to ever do that but OY! And I am not the type to be able to just fall asleep wherever I am. I don't even have the ability to sleep on a flight. So you know that this was inCREDible. And then the feet massage... O...M...G!! I've been having a sore right foot right on the bottom of my heel for two months. Although it is still tender, the pain now on it and I asked her to actually focus more on my right heel is nothing like what it has been. I know of course every masseuse has different touches, but I absolutely loved Lisa because now she'll know that I like it much softer. The head massage... Oh, that head massage... I felt like I was in a dream state. And what a way to end my phenomenal experience... They are incredibly honest as well . I didn't have my glasses on yet and when I was paying with my credit card wanting to include my tip on that , because of something I had done, the lady at the desk immediately stopped me from continuing and pointed out what I had written by accident. She could have very easily have left what I had written. I am feeling so relaxed and will enjoy this feeling for as long as I can tonight before my husband and son get back from work, I definitely have found where I will be going perhaps once a month. REVIEW: I was finishing up at Firehouse Subs and knew it was time for some self-care. First timer here and it was a fine enough visit. It was a basic experience. I opted for a foot massage and it was just OK. I see the many 5 star reviews here and am not sure what I missed, but I probably won't be back for a second visit, just for me personally. I was greeted after a moment or two; I asked about the pricing for the foot massages, and then a gentleman gave me the most basic foot massage. I should have spoken up, but he was rubbing my feet as compared to massaging them. If you're in the area, give them a try. You might have a more memorable experience than I did.
